Nova Bíblia Viva
1Então Zofar, o naamatita, respondeu pela segunda vez:
2“Eu preciso dizer o que estou pensando imediatamente, porque estou profundamente perturbado.
3Ouvi com atenção sua resposta e suas acusações contra mim e por isso tenho de responder de acordo com a minha consciência.
4“Você não compreende que desde a antiguidade, desde que existe gente na terra,
5a alegria dos maus é passageira, e o riso dos pecadores rebeldes dura apenas um momento?
6Mesmo que ele seja cheio de si e orgulhoso, e a sua cabeça toque as nuvens,
7o perverso perecerá para sempre, como o seu próprio excremento. Seus conhecidos todos vão perguntar: ‘Onde ele foi parar?’
8Ele passará depressa como um sonho, para nunca mais ser encontrado; desaparecerá como uma visão da noite.
9Os olhos que o viram não o verão mais; nem o seu lugar o verá outra vez.
10Seus filhos terão de fazer restituição aos pobres; ele próprio, com as suas mãos, terá de restituir a sua riqueza.
11Mesmo que ainda seja jovem e cheio de saúde, o perverso será castigado com a morte.
12“Para o perverso, a maldade tem um gosto doce em sua boca e ele o esconde sob a língua.
13Mesmo que ele goste de saborear as maldades como se fossem uma comida deliciosa,
14ainda assim essa comida deliciosa deixará um gosto amargo no seu estômago; e se transformará em veneno de serpente em seu interior.
15Ele vomitará as riquezas que engoliu; Deus fará seu estômago lançá-las fora.
16Ele toma veneno de cobra, um veneno terrível que acabará tirando a sua vida.
17Ele não aproveitará as coisas belas da vida, os rios correndo pelos campos, cobertos de mel, e de manteiga.
18O perverso não aproveitará o fruto de seu trabalho; seus lucros desonestos não trarão a menor alegria.
19Tudo isso porque explorou os pobres e os deixou desamparados; tomou à força as propriedades que não construiu.
20Por causa da sua cobiça sem limites, o perverso perdeu tudo que tanto desejou e sonhou conseguir.
21Ele nunca perdeu uma oportunidade de roubar para conseguir riquezas e por isso perderá toda a sua fortuna.
22Quando atingir o máximo da riqueza, a aflição o dominará; toda a força da miséria vai acabar com ele.
23Para alimento, Deus fará chover a sua ira sobre o perverso, até ele dizer: ‘Não aguento mais!’
24Se ele escapar da arma de ferro, uma flecha com ponta de bronze o atravessará.
25Ele arranca a flecha cravada em suas costas, e a ponta sai brilhando do seu fígado. O ferimento é mortal, e o perverso é dominado pelo medo da morte!
26Densas trevas estarão à espera das suas riquezas; um incêndio que ninguém saberá explicar destruirá todos os tesouros que ele ajuntou em sua casa.
27Os céus revelarão o pecado do perverso, e a terra se levantará contra ele.
28Os bens da sua casa serão levados, arrastados pelas águas, no dia do castigo de Deus.
29Pois isto é o que acontece ao homem que se revolta contra Deus. Esse é o terrível destino que Deus reserva para ele”.

1Y RESPONDIÓ Sophar Naamathita, y dijo:
2Por cierto mis pensamientos me hacen responder, y por tanto me apresuro.
3La reprensión de mi censura he oído, y háceme responder el espíritu de mi inteligencia.
4¿No sabes esto que fué siempre, desde el tiempo que fué puesto el hombre sobre la tierra,
5Que la alegría de los impíos es breve, y el gozo del hipócrita por un momento?
6Si subiere su altivez hasta el cielo, y su cabeza tocare en las nubes,
7Con su estiércol perecerá para siempre: los que le hubieren visto, dirán: ¿Qué es de él?
8Como sueño volará, y no será hallado: y disiparáse como visión nocturna.
9El ojo que le habrá visto, nunca más le verá; ni su lugar le echará más de ver.
10Sus hijos pobres andarán rogando; y sus manos tornarán lo que él robó.
11Sus huesos están llenos de sus mocedades, y con él serán sepultados en el polvo.
12Si el mal se endulzó en su boca, si lo ocultaba debajo de su lengua;
13Si le parecía bien, y no lo dejaba, mas antes lo detenía entre su paladar;
14Su comida se mudará en sus entrañas, hiel de áspides será dentro de él.
15Devoró riquezas, mas vomitarálas; de su vientre las sacará Dios.
16Veneno de áspides chupará; matarálo lengua de víbora.
17No verá los arroyos, los ríos, los torrentes de miel y de manteca.
18Restituirá el trabajo conforme á la hacienda que tomó; y no tragará, ni gozará.
19Por cuanto quebrantó y desamparó á los pobres, robó casas, y no las edificó;
20Por tanto, no sentirá él sosiego en su vientre, ni salvará nada de lo que codiciaba.
21No quedó nada que no comiese: por tanto su bien no será durable.
22Cuando fuere lleno su bastimento, tendrá angustia: las manos todas de los malvados vendrán sobre él.
23Cuando se pusiere á henchir su vientre, Dios enviará sobre él el furor de su ira, y harála llover sobre él y sobre su comida.
24Huirá de las armas de hierro, y el arco de acero le atravesará.
25Desenvainará y sacará saeta de su aljaba, y relumbrante pasará por su hiel: sobre él vendrán terrores.
26Todas tinieblas están guardadas para sus secretos: fuego no soplado lo devorará; su sucesor será quebrantado en su tienda.
27Los cielos descubrirán su iniquidad, y la tierra se levantará contra él.
28Los renuevos de su casa serán trasportados; serán derramados en el día de su furor.
29Esta es la parte que Dios apareja al hombre impío, y la heredad que Dios le señala por su palabra.
King James Version
1Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
2Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
3I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
4Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
5That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
6Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
7Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
8He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.
9The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.
10His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
11His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
12Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;
13Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:
14Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.
15He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
16He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.
17He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
18That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
19Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;
20Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
21There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
22In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
23When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
24He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
25It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
26All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
27The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
28The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
29This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
World English Bible
1Then Zophar the Naamathite answered,
2“Therefore my thoughts answer me, even by reason of my haste that is in me.
3I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.
4Don’t you know this from old time, since man was placed on earth,
5that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?
6Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,
7yet he will perish forever like his own dung. Those who have seen him will say, ‘Where is he?’
8He will fly away as a dream, and will not be found. Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
9The eye which saw him will see him no more, neither will his place see him any more.
10His children will seek the favor of the poor. His hands will give back his wealth.
11His bones are full of his youth, but youth will lie down with him in the dust.

14yet his food in his bowels is turned. It is cobra venom within him.

16He will suck cobra venom. The viper’s tongue will kill him.
17He will not look at the rivers, the flowing streams of honey and butter.
18He will restore that for which he labored, and will not swallow it down. He will not rejoice according to the substance that he has gotten.
19For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a house, and he will not build it up.
20“Because he knew no quietness within him, he will not save anything of that in which he delights.
21There was nothing left that he didn’t devour, therefore his prosperity will not endure.
22In the fullness of his sufficiency, distress will overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in misery will come on him.
23When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.
24He will flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow will strike him through.
25He draws it out, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.
26All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire will devour him. It will consume that which is left in his tent.
27The heavens will reveal his iniquity. The earth will rise up against him.
28The increase of his house will depart. They will rush away in the day of his wrath.
29This is the portion of a wicked man from God, the heritage appointed to him by God.”
