Job 1

ES war ein Mann im Lande Uz, der hiess Hiob; und dieser Mann war fromm und bieder, gottesfürchtig und dem Bösen feind. (a) Hes 14:14; Jak 5:11

HUBO un varón en tierra de Hus, llamado Job; y era este hombre perfecto y recto, y temeroso de Dios, y apartado del mal.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Und es wurden ihm sieben Söhne und drei Töchter geboren,

Y naciéronle siete hijos y tres hijas.

And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

und seine Habe stieg auf siebentausend Schafe und dreitausend Kamele, fünfhundert Joch Rinder und fünfhundert Eselinnen, dazu ein sehr grosses Gesinde; und so wurde jener Mann grösser als alle Söhne des Ostens.

Y su hacienda era siete mil ovejas, y tres mil camellos, y quinientas yuntas de bueyes, y quinientas asnas, y muchísimos criados: y era aquel varón grande más que todos los Orientales.

His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

Seine Söhne aber hielten von Zeit zu Zeit ein Mahl, reihum im Hause eines jeden, und sie schickten hin und luden auch ihre drei Schwestern ein, mit ihnen zu essen und zu trinken.

E iban sus hijos y hacían banquetes en sus casas, cada uno en su día; y enviaban á llamar sus tres hermanas, para que comiesen y bebiesen con ellos.

And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

Wenn dann die Tage des Mahles um waren, schickte Hiob hin und weihte sie, und früh am andern Morgen opferte er Brandopfer nach ihrer aller Zahl. Denn Hiob dachte: Vielleicht haben meine Söhne sich versündigt und Gott geflucht in ihrem Herzen. So tat Hiob allezeit. (1) w: "gesegnet", was hier verhüllender Ausdruck für das Gegenteil ist; aÜs: "haben sich von Gott losgesagt". (Ähnlich V. 11 und Hio 2:5 9

Y acontecía que, habiendo pasado en turno los días del convite, Job enviaba y santificábalos, y levantábase de mañana y ofrecía holocaustos conforme al número de todos ellos. Porque decía Job: Quizá habrán pecado mis hijos, y habrán blasfemado á Dios en sus corazones. De esta manera hacía todos los días.

And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

NUN begab es sich eines Tages, dass die Gottessöhne kamen, sich vor dem Herrn zu stellen, und es kam auch der Satan in ihrer Mitte. (a) 1Kön 22:19-22

Y un día vinieron los hijos de Dios á presentarse delante de Jehová, entre los cuales vino también Satán.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Da sprach der Herr zum Satan: Wo kommst du her? Der Satan antwortete dem Herrn und sprach: Auf der Erde bin ich umhergestreift und hin und her gewandert.

Y dijo Jehová á Satán: ¿De dónde vienes? Y respondiendo Satán á Jehová, dijo: De rodear la tierra, y de andar por ella.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, “From going back and forth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”

Und der Herr sprach zum Satan: Hast du achtgehabt auf meinen Knecht Hiob, dass seinesgleichen keiner ist auf Erden, ein Mann so fromm und bieder, so gottesfürchtig und dem Bösen feind?

Y Jehová dijo á Satán: ¿No has considerado á mi siervo Job, que no hay otro como él en la tierra, varón perfecto y recto, temeroso de Dios, y apartado de mal?

And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

The LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant, Job? For there is no one like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil.”

Der Satan antwortete dem Herrn und sprach: Ist etwa Hiob umsonst gottesfürchtig?

Y respondiendo Satán á Jehová, dijo: ¿Teme Job á Dios de balde?

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing?

Hast nicht du selbst ihn und sein Haus umhegt und alles, was er hat, ringsum? Das Tun seiner Hände hast du gesegnet, und seine Herden haben sich ausgebreitet im Lande.

¿No le has tú cercado á él, y á su casa, y á todo lo que tiene en derredor? Al trabajo de sus manos has dado bendición; por tanto su hacienda ha crecido sobre la tierra.

Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Haven’t you made a hedge around him, and around his house, and around all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Aber recke doch einmal deine Hand aus und rühre an alles, was er hat; fürwahr, er wird dir ins Angesicht fluchen.

Mas extiende ahora tu mano, y toca á todo lo que tiene, y verás si no te blasfema en tu rostro.

But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

But stretch out your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will renounce you to your face.”

Da sprach der Herr zum Satan: Wohlan, alles, was er hat, ist in deiner Hand! Nur nach ihm selbst recke deine Hand nicht aus! Da ging der Satan hinweg vom Angesicht des Herrn.

Y dijo Jehová á Satán: He aquí, todo lo que tiene está en tu mano: solamente no pongas tu mano sobre él. Y salióse Satán de delante de Jehová.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

The LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don’t stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

Nun begab es sich eines Tages, dass seine Söhne und Töchter assen und tranken im Hause ihres erstgebornen Bruders:

Y un día aconteció que sus hijos é hijas comían y bebían vino en casa de su hermano el primogénito,

And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house:

It fell on a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

da kommt ein Bote zu Hiob und sagt: Die Rinder waren am Pflügen, und die Eselinnen weideten daneben,

Y vino un mensajero á Job, que le dijo: Estando arando los bueyes, y las asnas paciendo cerca de ellos,

And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:

that a messenger came to Job, and said, “The oxen were plowing, and the donkeys feeding beside them,

da sind die Sabäer eingefallen und haben sie weggetrieben und haben die Knechte mit der Schärfe des Schwertes erschlagen, und ich bin ganz allein entronnen, es dir zu melden.

Acometieron los Sabeos, y tomáronlos, é hirieron á los mozos á filo de espada: solamente escapé yo para traerte las nuevas.

And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

and the Sabeans attacked, and took them away. Yes, they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

Wie der noch redet, da kommt ein andrer und sagt: Feuer Gottes ist vom Himmel gefallen und hat zündend in die Schafe und Knechte geschlagen und sie verzehrt, und ich bin ganz allein entronnen, es dir zu melden.

Aun estaba éste hablando, y vino otro que dijo: Fuego de Dios cayó del cielo, que quemó las ovejas y los mozos, y los consumió: solamente escapé yo solo para traerte las nuevas.

While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The fire of God has fallen from the sky, and has burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

Wie der noch redet, da kommt ein andrer und sagt: Die Chaldäer haben drei Heerhaufen gemacht, haben die Kamele überfallen und sie weggetrieben und haben die Knechte mit der Schärfe des Schwertes erschlagen, und ich bin ganz allein entronnen, es dir zu melden.

Todavía estaba éste hablando, y vino otro que dijo: Los Caldeos hicieron tres escuadrones, y dieron sobre los camellos, y tomáronlos, é hirieron á los mozos á filo de espada; y solamente escapé yo solo para traerte las nuevas.

While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

While he was still speaking, another also came and said, “The Chaldeans made three bands, and swept down on the camels, and have taken them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

Wie der noch redet, da kommt ein andrer und sagt: Deine Söhne und Töchter waren am Essen und Trinken im Hause ihres erstgebornen Bruders,

Entre tanto que éste hablaba, vino otro que dijo: Tus hijos y tus hijas estaban comiendo y bebiendo vino en casa de su hermano el primogénito;

While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house:

While he was still speaking, there came also another, and said, “Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

siehe, da ist ein starker Sturmwind von der Wüste herübergekommen; der hat das Haus an den vier Ecken gepackt, und es ist über den jungen Leuten eingestürzt, und sie sind umgekommen, und ich bin ganz allein entronnen, es dir zu melden.

Y he aquí un gran viento que vino del lado del desierto, é hirió las cuatro esquinas de la casa, y cayó sobre los mozos, y murieron; y solamente escapé yo solo para traerte las nuevas.

And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Da stand Hiob auf und zerriss sein Gewand und schor sein Haupt; dann fiel er nieder zur Erde und betete an

Entonces Job se levantó, y rasgó su manto, y trasquiló su cabeza, y cayendo en tierra adoró;

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,

Then Job arose, and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down on the ground, and worshiped.

und sprach: Nackt bin ich aus meiner Mutter Schoss gekommen, / und nackt werde ich wieder dahingehen. / Der Herr hat's gegeben, der Herr hat's genommen; / der Name des Herrn sei gelobt! (a) Pre 5:14; 1Ti 6:7

Y dijo: Desnudo salí del vientre de mi madre, y desnudo tornaré allá. Jehová dió, y Jehová quitó: sea el nombre de Jehová bendito.

And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

He said, “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked will I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the LORD’s name.”

In alledem versündigte sich Hiob nicht und redete nichts Törichtes wider Gott. (a) Hio 2:10

En todo esto no pecó Job, ni atribuyó á Dios despropósito alguno.

In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

In all this, Job didn’t sin, nor charge God with wrongdoing.
