How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?
“How long will you torment me, and crush me with words?
Ya me habéis vituperado diez veces: ¿No os avergonzáis de injuriarme?
Ya me habéis vituperado diez veces: ¿no os avergonzáis de descomediros delante de mí?
These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.
You have reproached me ten times. You aren’t ashamed that you attack me.
Y si en verdad he errado, conmigo se quedará mi error.
Sea así que realmente haya yo errado, conmigo se quedará mi yerro.
And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
If it is true that I have erred, my error remains with myself.
Mas si vosotros os engrandecéis contra mí, y contra mí invocáis mi oprobio,
Mas si vosotros os engrandeciereis contra mí, y adujereis contra mí mi oprobio,
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach,
sabed ahora que Dios me ha derribado, y me ha envuelto en su red.
Sabed ahora que Dios me ha trastornado, y traído en derredor su red sobre mí.
Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.

He aquí yo clamo agravio, y no soy oído; doy voces, y no hay juicio.

Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.

Él ha cercado mi camino, y no puedo pasar; y ha puesto oscuridad en mis sendas.
Cercó de vallado mi camino, y no pasaré; y sobre mis veredas puso tinieblas.
He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.
He has walled up my way so that I can’t pass, and has set darkness in my paths.
Me ha despojado de mi gloria, y ha quitado la corona de mi cabeza.

He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.

Me arruinó por todos lados, y perezco; y ha arrancado mi esperanza como a un árbol.

He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree.

También encendió contra mí su furor, y me contó para sí como uno de sus enemigos.
E hizo inflamar contra mí su furor, y contóme para sí entre sus enemigos.
He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies.
He has also kindled his wrath against me. He counts me among his adversaries.
Vinieron sus ejércitos a una, y atrincheraron contra mí su camino, y acamparon en derredor de mi tienda.

His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.

Hizo alejar de mí a mis hermanos, y del todo se extrañaron de mí mis conocidos.

He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me.

My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.

Los moradores de mi casa y mis criadas me tienen por extraño; forastero soy yo a sus ojos.

They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.

Llamé a mi siervo y no respondió, aunque con mi propia boca le suplicaba.

I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I intreated him with my mouth.

All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.

That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
That with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock forever!
Yo sé que mi Redentor vive, y en el día final se levantará sobre la tierra;
Yo sé que mi Redentor vive, y al fin se levantará sobre el polvo:
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.
y después de deshecha esta mi piel, en mi carne he de ver a Dios;

And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
After my skin is destroyed, then I will see God in my flesh,
Al cual he de ver por mí mismo, y mis ojos lo verán, y no otro, aunque mis entrañas se consuman dentro de mí.

Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
whom I, even I, will see on my side. My eyes will see, and not as a stranger. “My heart is consumed within me.
Mas debierais decir: ¿Por qué lo perseguimos? Ya que la raíz del asunto se halla en mí.

But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
If you say, ‘How we will persecute him!’ because the root of the matter is found in me,
Temed vosotros delante de la espada; porque la ira trae el castigo de la espada, para que sepáis que hay un juicio.

Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.
