MI ALIENTO está corrompido, acórtanse mis días, y me está aparejado el sepulcro.

Io non peccai, e gli occhi miei nuotano nelle amarezze.
No hay conmigo sino escarnecedores, en cuya acrimonia se detienen mis ojos.
Are there not mockers with me? and doth not mine eye continue in their provocation?

Liberami, o Signore, e pommi presso di te, e chicchessia armi sua mano a combattere contro di me.

Il loro cuore hai tenuto lontano dalla saggezza; per questo ei non saranno esaltati.
Porque á éstos has tú escondido su corazón de inteligencia: por tanto, no los ensalzarás.
For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt them.

El que denuncia lisonjas á sus prójimos, los ojos de sus hijos desfallezcan.
He that speaketh flattery to his friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.

Upright men shall be astonied at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.

Ma il giusto terrà sua strada, e quegli, che ha pure le mani crescerà in fortezza.
No obstante, proseguirá el justo su camino, y el limpio de manos aumentará la fuerza.
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
Yet the righteous will hold to his way. He who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
Voi pertanto cangiate di parere, e venite, ed io non troverò tra voi verun capiente.

Dov' è adunque adesso la mia espettazione, e chi è che consideri la mia pazienza?

Nel cupo sepolcro scenderà ogni cosa con me; credi tu che ivi almeno io avrò requie? Baldad accusa Giobbe di giattanza, e di impazienza: descrive le maledizioni degli empj per confermare contro di Giobbe la sua sentenza, viene a dire, che egli solamente pe' suoi peccati è punito.
A los rincones de la huesa descenderán, y juntamente descansarán en el polvo.
They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when our rest together is in the dust.
