1And after these things Jesus was walking in Galilee; for He did not desire to walk in Judea, because the Jews were lusting to kill Him.
2And the Jewish Feast of the Tabernacles was near.
3Then His brothers said to Him, Move away from here and go to Judea, that your disciples will also see your works which you do,
4for no one does anything in secret and himself seeks to be in public. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.
5For His brothers did not believe into Him.
6Then Jesus said to them, My time is not yet here, but your time is always ready.
7The world cannot hate you; but it hates Me because I witness about it, that its works are evil.
8You go up to this feast. I am not yet going up to the feast, for My time has not yet been fulfilled.
9And saying these things to them, He remained in Galilee.
10But when His brothers went up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.
11Then the Jews sought Him in the feast, and said, Where is He?
12And much murmuring about Him was in the crowds. Some said, He is a good one; but others said, No, but he deceives the crowd.
13However, no one publicly spoke about Him, because of the fear of the Jews.
14But the feast now being half over, Jesus went up to the temple and taught.
15And the Jews marveled, saying, How does this one know letters, not being taught?
16Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not Mine, but of the One who sent Me.
17If anyone desires to do His will, he will know concerning the doctrine, whether it is of God, or I speak from Myself.
18The one speaking from himself seeks his own glory. But the one seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, this One is true, and unrighteousness is not in Him.
19Has not Moses given you the Law, and not one of you does the Law? Why do you lust to kill Me?
20The crowd answered and said, You have a demon. Who lusts to kill you?
21Jesus answered and said to them, I did one work, and you all marvel.
22Because of this Moses has given you circumcision; (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers); and on a sabbath, you circumcise a man.
23If a man receives circumcision on a sabbath, that the Law of Moses is not broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man entirely sound on a sabbath?
24Do not judge according to sight, but judge righteous judgment.
25Then some of the Jerusalemites said, Is this not the one they are seeking to kill?
26And, behold, He speaks publicly, and they say nothing to him. Perhaps the rulers truly knew that this is indeed the Christ?
27But we know this one, from where he is. But when the Christ comes, no one knows from where He is.
28Then teaching, Jesus cried out in the temple, even saying, You both know Me, and you know from where I am. And I have not come from Myself, but He sending Me is true, whom you do not know.
29But I know Him, because I am from Him; and He sent Me.
30Then they sought to seize Him; yet no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.
31But many of the crowd believed into Him, and said, The Christ, when He comes will He do more miracles than these which this One did?
32The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things about Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers, that they might seize Him.
33Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while I am with you, and I go to Him who sent Me.
34You will seek Me, and will not find Me ; and where I am, you are not able to come.
35Then the Jews said amongst themselves, Where is this one about to go that we will not find him? Is he about to go to the Dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?
36What is this word which he said, You will seek Me and will not find Me , and, Where I am, you are not able to come?
37And in the last day of the great feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
38The one believing into Me, as the Scripture said, Out of his belly will flow rivers of living water. No OT passage
39But He said this concerning the Spirit, whom the ones believing into Him were about to receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given , because Jesus was not yet glorified.
40Then hearing the word, many of the crowd said, This is truly the Prophet.
41Others said, This is the Christ. But others said, No! For does the Christ come out of Galilee?
42Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was? Mic. 5:2
43Therefore, a division occurred in the crowd because of Him.
44And some of them desired to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him.
45Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees. And they said to them, Why did you not bring him?
46The officers answered, Never did a man so speak as does this man.
47Then the Pharisees answered them, Have you not also been deceived?
48Not any from the rulers or from the Pharisees believed into him?
49But not knowing the Law, this crowd is cursed.
50Nicodemus said to them, the one coming by night to Him, being one of themselves,
51Does our Law judge the Man unless it hear from him first, and know what he does?
52They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search and see that a prophet has not been raised out of Galilee.
53And they each one went to his house.

1Y PASADAS estas cosas andaba Jesús en Galilea: que no quería andar en Judea, porque los Judíos procuraban matarle.
2Y estaba cerca la fiesta de los Judíos, la de los tabernáculos.
3Y dijéronle sus hermanos: Pásate de aquí, y vete á Judea, para que también tus discípulos vean las obras que haces.
4Que ninguno que procura ser claro, hace algo en oculto. Si estas cosas haces, manifiéstate al mundo.
5Porque ni aun sus hermanos creían en él.
6Díceles entonces Jesús: Mi tiempo aun no ha venido; mas vuestro tiempo siempre está presto.
7No puede el mundo aborreceros á vosotros; mas á mí me aborrece, porque yo doy testimonio de él, que sus obras son malas.
8Vosotros subid á esta fiesta; yo no subo aún á esta fiesta, porque mi tiempo aun no es cumplido.
9Y habiéndoles dicho esto, quedóse en Galilea.
10Mas como sus hermanos hubieron subido, entonces él también subió á la fiesta, no manifiestamente, sino como en secreto.
11Y buscábanle los Judíos en la fiesta, y decían: ¿Dónde está aquél?
12Y había grande murmullo de él entre la gente: porque unos decían: Bueno es; y otros decían: No, antes engaña á las gentes.
13Mas ninguno hablaba abiertamente de él, por miedo de los Judíos.
14Y al medio de la fiesta subió Jesús al templo, y enseñaba.
15Y maravillábanse los Judíos, diciendo: ¿Cómo sabe éste letras, no habiendo aprendido?
16Respondióles Jesús, y dijo: Mi doctrina no es mía, sino de aquél que me envió.
17El que quisiere hacer su voluntad, conocerá de la doctrina si viene de Dios, ó si yo hablo de mí mismo.
18El que habla de sí mismo, su propia gloria busca; mas el que busca la gloria del que le envió, éste es verdadero, y no hay en él injusticia.
19¿No os dió Moisés la ley, y ninguno de vosotros hace la ley? ¿Por qué me procuráis matar?
20Respondió la gente, y dijo: Demonio tienes: ¿quién te procura matar?
21Jesús respondió, y díjoles: Una obra hice, y todos os maravilláis.
22Cierto, Moisés os dió la circuncisión (no porque sea de Moisés, mas de los padres); y en sábado circuncidáis al hombre.
23Si recibe el hombre la circuncisión en sábado, para que la ley de Moisés no sea quebrantada, ¿os enojáis conmigo porque en sábado hice sano todo un hombre?
24No juzguéis según lo que parece, mas juzgad justo juicio.
25Decían entonces unos de los de Jerusalem: ¿No es éste al que buscan para matarlo?
26Y he aquí, habla públicamente, y no le dicen nada; ¿si habrán entendido verdaderamente los príncipes, que éste es el Cristo?
27Mas éste, sabemos de dónde es: y cuando viniere el Cristo, nadie sabrá de dónde sea.
28Entonces clamaba Jesús en el templo, enseñando y diciendo: Y á mí me conocéis, y sabéis de dónde soy; y no he venido de mí mismo; mas el que me envió es verdadero, al cual vosotros no conocéis.
29Yo le conozco, porque de él soy, y él me envió.
30Entonces procuraban prenderle; mas ninguno puso en él mano, porque aun no había venido su hora.
31Y muchos del pueblo creyeron en él, y decían: El Cristo, cuando viniere, ¿hará más señales que las que éste hace?
32Los Fariseos oyeron á la gente que murmuraba de él estas cosas; y los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los Fariseos enviaron servidores que le prendiesen.
33Y Jesús dijo: Aun un poco de tiempo estaré con vosotros, é iré al que me envió.
34Me buscaréis, y no me hallaréis; y donde yo estaré, vosotros no podréis venir.
35Entonces los Judíos dijeron entre sí: ¿A dónde se ha de ir éste que no le hallemos? ¿Se ha de ir á los esparcidos entre los Griegos, y á enseñar á los Griegos?
36¿Qué dicho es éste que dijo: Me buscaréis, y no me hallaréis; y donde yo estaré, vosotros no podréis venir?
37Mas en el postrer día grande de la fiesta, Jesús se ponía en pie y clamaba, diciendo: Si alguno tiene sed, venga á mí y beba.
38El que cree en mí, como dice la Escritura, ríos de agua viva correrán de su vientre.
39(Y esto dijo del Espíritu que habían de recibir los que creyesen en él: pues aun no había venido el Espíritu Santo; porque Jesús no estaba aún glorificado.)
40Entonces algunos de la multitud, oyendo este dicho, decían: Verdaderamente éste es el profeta.
41Otros decían: Este es el Cristo. Algunos empero decían: ¿De Galilea ha de venir el Cristo?
42¿No dice la Escritura, que de la simiente de David, y de la aldea de Bethlehem, de donde era David, vendrá el Cristo?
43Así que había disensión entre la gente acerca de él.
44Y algunos de ellos querían prenderle; mas ninguno echó sobre él manos.
45Y los ministriles vinieron á los principales sacerdotes y á los Fariseos; y ellos les dijeron: ¿Por qué no le trajisteis?
46Los ministriles respondieron: Nunca ha hablado hombre así como este hombre.
47Entonces los Fariseos les respondieron: ¿Estáis también vosotros engañados?
48¿Ha creído en él alguno de los príncipes, ó de los Fariseos?
49Mas estos comunales que no saben la ley, malditos son.
50Díceles Nicodemo (el que vino á él de noche, el cual era uno de ellos):
51¿Juzga nuestra ley á hombre, si primero no oyere de él, y entendiere lo que ha hecho?
52Respondieron y dijéronle: ¿Eres tú también Galileo? Escudriña y ve que de Galilea nunca se levantó profeta.
53Y fuése cada uno á su casa.

1After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.
3His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judæa, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.
4For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.
5For neither did his brethren believe in him.
6Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.
7The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
8Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
9When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.
10But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
11Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
12And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.
13Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.
14Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
15And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
16Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
19Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
20The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?
21Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
22Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
23If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
24Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
25Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
26But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

36What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?

2Now the feast of the Jews, the Feast of Booths, was at hand.
3His brothers therefore said to him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works which you do.
4For no one does anything in secret while he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.”
5For even his brothers didn’t believe in him.
6Jesus therefore said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.

16Jesus therefore answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
17If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God or if I am speaking from myself.
18He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
19Didn’t Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?”
20The multitude answered, “You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?”

28Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don’t know.
29I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.”
30They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
31But of the multitude, many believed in him. They said, “When the Christ comes, he won’t do more signs than those which this man has done, will he?”
32The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to arrest him.
33Then Jesus said, “I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.
34You will seek me and won’t find me. You can’t come where I am.”
35The Jews therefore said among themselves, “Where will this man go that we won’t find him? Will he go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks?
36What is this word that he said, ‘You will seek me, and won’t find me;’ and ‘Where I am, you can’t come’?”
37Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!
38He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.”
39But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified.
40Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, “This is truly the prophet.”
41Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “What, does the Christ come out of Galilee?
42Hasn’t the Scripture said that the Christ comes of the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”
43So a division arose in the multitude because of him.
44Some of them would have arrested him, but no one laid hands on him.
45The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said to them, “Why didn’t you bring him?”
46The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this man!”
47The Pharisees therefore answered them, “You aren’t also led astray, are you?
48Have any of the rulers or any of the Pharisees believed in him?
49But this multitude that doesn’t know the law is cursed.”
50Nicodemus (he who came to him by night, being one of them) said to them,
51“Does our law judge a man unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?”
52They answered him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.”
53Everyone went to his own house,
