Juan 4

A quando Gesù ebbe saputo, come a' Farisei era noto, che egli faceva maggior numero di discepoli, e battezzava più di Giovanni,

DE manera que como Jesús entendió que los Fariseos habían oído que Jesús hacía y bautizaba más discípulos que Juan,

When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

(Quantunque non Gesù stesso battezzasse, ma bensì i suoi discepoli)

(Aunque Jesús no bautizaba, sino sus discípulos),

(Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

(although Jesus himself didn’t baptize, but his disciples),

Abbandonò la Giudea, e se v'andò di nuovo nella Galilea:

Dejó á Judea, y fuése otra vez á Galilea.

He left Judæa, and departed again into Galilee.

Dovea perciò passare per la Samaria.

Y era menester que pasase por Samaria.

And he must needs go through Samaria.

He needed to pass through Samaria.

Giunse pertanto a quella città della Samaria, chiamata Sichar, vicino alla tenuta, che fu data da Giacobbe al suo figliuolo Giuseppe.

Vino, pues, á una ciudad de Samaria que se llamaba Sichâr, junto á la heredad que Jacob dió á José su hijo.

Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

So he came to a city of Samaria called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

E quivi era il pozzo di Giacobbe. Onde Gesù stanco dal viaggio si pose così a sedere sul pozzo. Ed era circa l'ora sesta.

Y estaba allí la fuente de Jacob. Pues Jesús, cansado del camino, así se sentó á la fuente. Era como la hora de sexta.

Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

Viene una donna Samaritana ad attigner acqua, Gesù le due: Dammi da bere,

Vino una mujer de Samaria á sacar agua: y Jesús le dice: Dame de beber.

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”

(Imperocché i suoi discepoli erano andati in città per comperar da mangiare.)

(Porque sus discípulos habían ido á la ciudad á comprar de comer.)

(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

Risposegli adunque la donna samaritana: Come mai tu essendo Giudeo, chiedi da bere a me, che sono Samaritana? Imperocché non hanno comunione i Giudei coi Samaritani.

Y la mujer Samaritana le dice: ¿Cómo tú, siendo Judío, me pides á mí de beber, que soy mujer Samaritana? porque los Judíos no se tratan con los Samaritanos.

Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

The Samaritan woman therefore said to him, “How is it that you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)

Rispose Gesù, e dissele: Se tu conoscessi il dono di Dio, e chi è colui, che ti dice: Dammi da bere: tu ne avresti forse chiesto a lui, ed egli ti avrebbe dato d'un'acqua viva.

Respondió Jesús y díjole: Si conocieses el don de Dios, y quién es el que te dice: Dame de beber: tú pedirías de él, y él te daría agua viva.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

Dissegli la donna: Signore, tu non hai con che attignere, e il pozzo è profondo: in che modo adunque hai tu quell'acqua viva?

La mujer le dice: Señor, no tienes con qué sacarla, y el pozo es hondo: ¿de dónde, pues, tienes el agua viva?

The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

The woman said to him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. So where do you get that living water?

Se' tu forse da più di Giacobbe nostro Padre, il quale diede a noi questo pozzo, donde bevve esso, e i suoi figliuoli, e il suo bestiame?

¿Eres tú mayor que nuestro padre Jacob, que nos dió este pozo, del cual él bebió, y sus hijos, y sus ganados?

Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his children and his livestock?”

Rispose Gesù, e disse: Tutti quelli, che bevono di quest'acqua, torneranno ad aver sete: chi poi beve di quell'acqua, che gli darò io, non avrà più sete in eterno:

Respondió Jesús y díjole: Cualquiera que bebiere de esta agua, volverá á tener sed;

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

Jesus answered her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,

Ma l'acqua, che io gli darò, diventerà in esso fontana di acqua, che zampillerà sino alla vita eterna.

Mas el que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, para siempre no tendrá sed: mas el agua que yo le daré, será en él una fuente de agua que salte para vida eterna.

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

Dissegli la donna: Signore, dammi di quest'acqua, affinchè io non abbia mai sete, né abbia a venir qua per attignerne.

La mujer le dice: Señor, dame esta agua, para que no tenga sed, ni venga acá á sacarla.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I don’t get thirsty, neither come all the way here to draw.”

Le disse Gesù: Va', chiama tuo marito, e ritorna qua.

Jesús le dice: Ve, llama á tu marido, y ven acá.

Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”

Risposegli la donna, e disse: Non ho marito. E Gesù le rispose: Hai detto bene, non ho marito:

Respondió la mujer, y dijo: No tengo marido. Dícele Jesús: Bien has dicho, No tengo marido;

The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

The woman answered, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You said well, ‘I have no husband,’

Imperocché cinque mariti hai avuti: e quello, che hai adesso, non è tuo marito: in questo hai detto il vero.

Porque cinco maridos has tenido: y el que ahora tienes no es tu marido; esto has dicho con verdad.

For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

for you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband. This you have said truly.”

Dissegli la donna: Signore, veggo, che tu se' profeta.

Dícele la mujer: Señor, paréceme que tú eres profeta.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

I nostri Padri hanno adorato (Dio) su questo monte, e voi dite, che il luogo, dove bisogna adorarlo, è in Gerusalemme.

Nuestros padres adoraron en este monte, y vosotros decís que en Jerusalem es el lugar donde es necesario adorar.

Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.”

Gesù le rispose: Credimi, o donna, che è venuto il tempo, in cui né su questo monte, nè in Gerusalemme adorerete il Padre.

Dícele Jesús: Mujer, créeme, que la hora viene, cuando ni en este monte, ni en Jerusalem adoraréis al Padre.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.

Voi adorate quello, che non conoscete: noi adoriamo quello, conosciamo, perché la salute viene da' Giudei.

Vosotros adoráis lo que no sabéis; nosotros adoramos lo que sabemos: porque la salud viene de los Judíos.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

You worship that which you don’t know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.

Ma verrà il tempo, anzi è venuto, in cui adoratori veraci adoreranno il Padre in ispirito, e verità. Imperocché tali il Padre cerca adoratori.

Mas la hora viene, y ahora es, cuando los verdaderos adoradores adorarán al Padre en espíritu y en verdad; porque también el Padre tales adoradores busca que le adoren.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshipers.

Iddio è spirito: e quei, che l'adorano, adorar lo debbono in Ispirito, e verità.

Dios es Espíritu; y los que le adoran, en espíritu y en verdad es necesario que adoren.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Disselli la donna: So, che viene il Messia (che vuoi dire il Cristo); quando questi sarà venuto, ci istruirà di tutto.

Dícele la mujer: Sé que el Mesías ha de venir, el cual se dice el Cristo: cuando él viniere nos declarará todas las cosas.

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming, he who is called Christ. When he has come, he will declare to us all things.”

Dissele Gesù: Son quel desso io, che teco favello.

Dícele Jesús: Yo soy, que hablo contigo.

Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

Jesus said to her, “I am he, the one who speaks to you.”

E in quel mentre arrivarono i suoi discepoli: e si maravigliavano, che discorresse con una donna. Nissuno però gli disse: Che cerchi tu, o di che parli tu con colei?

Y en esto vinieron sus discípulos, y maravilláronse de que hablaba con mujer; mas ninguno dijo: ¿Qué preguntas? ó, ¿Qué hablas con ella?

And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

Just then, his disciples came. They marveled that he was speaking with a woman; yet no one said, “What are you looking for?” or, “Why do you speak with her?”

Ma la donna lasciò la sua secchia, e andossene in città, e disse a quella gente:

Entonces la mujer dejó su cántaro, y fué á la ciudad, y dijo á aquellos hombres:

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

So the woman left her water pot, went away into the city, and said to the people,

Venite a vedere un uomo, il quale, mi ha detto quanto ho mai fatto: E egli forse il Cristo?

Venid, ved un hombre que me ha dicho todo lo que he hecho: ¿si quizás es éste el Cristo?

Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

“Come, see a man who told me everything that I have done. Can this be the Christ?”

Uscirono adunque dalla città, e andarono da lui.

Entonces salieron de la ciudad, y vinieron á él.

Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

They went out of the city, and were coming to him.

E in quel frattempo lo pregavano i discepoli, e dicevangli: Maestro, prendi un po' di cibo.

Entre tanto los discípulos le rogaban, diciendo: Rabbí, come.

In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

In the meanwhile, the disciples urged him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”

Ma egli rispose loro: Io ho un cibo da reficiarmi, che voi non sapete.

Y él les dijo: Yo tengo una comida que comer, que vosotros no sabéis.

But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.”

I discepoli perciò si dicevano l'uno all'altro: V'egli forse stato qualcheduno, che gli abbia portato da mangiare?

Entonces los discípulos decían el uno al otro: ¿Si le habrá traído alguien de comer?

Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

The disciples therefore said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?”

Disse loro Gesù: Il mio cibo è di fare la volontà di colui, che mi ha mandato, e di compiere l'opera sua.

Díceles Jesús: Mi comida es que haga la voluntad del que me envió, y que acabe su obra.

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.

Non dite voi: Vi sono ancor quattro mesi, e poi viene la mietitura? Ecco che io vi dico: Alzate gli occhi vostri, e mirate le campagne, che già biancheggiano per la messe.

¿No decís vosotros: Aun hay cuatro meses hasta que llegue la siega? He aquí os digo: Alzad vuestros ojos, y mirad las regiones, porque ya están blancas para la siega.

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Don’t you say, ‘There are yet four months until the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest already.

È colui, che miete, riceve la mercede, e raguna frutto per la vita eterna: onde insieme ne goda e colui, che semina, e colui, che miete.

Y el que siega, recibe salario, y allega fruto para vida eterna; para que el que siembra también goce, y el que siega.

And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

He who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit to eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

Imperocché in questo si verifica quel proverbio: altri semina, e altri miete.

Porque en esto es el dicho verdadero: Que uno es el que siembra, y otro es el que siega.

And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

For in this the saying is true, ‘One sows, and another reaps.’

Io vi ho mandati a mietere quello, che voi non avete lavorato: altri hanno lavorato, e voi siete entrati nel lor lavoro.

Yo os he enviado á segar lo que vosotros no labrasteis: otros labraron, y vosotros habéis entrado en sus labores.

I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

I sent you to reap that for which you haven’t labored. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.”

Or dei Samaritani di quella città molti credettero in lui per le parole di quella donna, la quale attestava: egli mi ha detto tutto quello, che ho fatto.

Y muchos de los Samaritanos de aquella ciudad creyeron en él por la palabra de la mujer, que daba testimonio, diciendo: Que me dijo todo lo que he hecho.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, “He told me everything that I have done.”

Portatisi adunque da lui que' Samaritani, lo pregarono a trattenersi in quel luogo. E vi si trattenne due giorni.

Viniendo pues los Samaritanos á él, rogáronle que se quedase allí: y se quedó allí dos días.

So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

So when the Samaritans came to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed there two days.

E molti più credettero in lui in virtù della sua parola.

Y creyeron muchos más por la palabra de él.

And many more believed because of his own word;

Many more believed because of his word.

E dicevano alla donna: Noi già non crediamo a riflesso della tua parola: imperocché abbiamo noi stessi udito, e abbiam conosciuto, che questi è veramente il Salvatore del mondo.

Y decían á la mujer: Ya no creemos por tu dicho; porque nosotros mismos hemos oído, y sabemos que verdaderamente éste es el Salvador del mundo, el Cristo.

And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

They said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

Passati poi i due giorni si parti di là: e andò nella Galilea.

Y dos días después, salió de allí, y fuése á Galilea.

Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

After the two days he went out from there and went into Galilee.

Imperocché lo stesso Gesù aveva affermato, che non riscuote rispetto un profeta nella sua patria.

Porque el mismo Jesús dió testimonio de que el profeta en su tierra no tiene honra.

For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.

Giunto egli pertanto nella Galileo, fu accolto da' Galilei, i quali avean veduto tutto quello, che egli aveva fatto in Gerusalemme nel dì della festa: imperocché essi pure erano andati alla festa.

Y como vino á Galilea, los Galileos le recibieron, vistas todas las cosas que había hecho en Jerusalem en el día de la fiesta: porque también ellos habían ido á la fiesta.

Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilæans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.

So when he came into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all the things that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they also went to the feast.

Andò adunque Gesù di nuovo a Cana di Galilea, dove avea convertito l'acqua in vino. Ed eravi un certo regolo in Cafarnaum, il quale aveva un figliuolo ammalato.

Vino pues Jesús otra vez á Caná de Galilea, donde había hecho el vino del agua. Y había en Capernaum uno del rey, cuyo hijo estaba enfermo.

So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

Jesus came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water into wine. There was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.

E avendo questi sentito dire, che Gesù era venuto dalla Giudea nella Galilea, andò da lui, e lo pregava, che volesse andare a guarire il suo figliuolo, che era moribondo.

Este, como oyó que Jesús venía de Judea á Galilea, fué á él, y rogábale que descendiese, y sanase á su hijo, porque se comenzaba á morir.

When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judæa into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him and begged him that he would come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.

Dissegli adunque Gesù: Voi se non vedete miracoli, e prodigj, non credete.

Entonces Jesús le dijo: Si no viereis señales y milagros no creeréis.

Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

Jesus therefore said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will in no way believe.”

Risposegli il regolo: Vieni, Signore, prima che il mio figliuolo si muoia.

El del rey le dijo: Señor, desciende antes que mi hijo muera.

The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

The nobleman said to him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”

Gesù gli disse: Va', il tuo figliuolo vive. Quegli prestò fede alle parole dettegli da Gesù, e si partì.

Dícele Jesús: Ve, tu hijo vive. Y el hombre creyó á la palabra que Jesús le dijo, y se fué.

Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.

E quando era già verso casa, gli corsero incontro i servi, e gli diedero nuova, come il suo figliuolo vivea.

Y cuando ya él descendía, los siervos le salieron á recibir, y le dieron nuevas, diciendo: Tu hijo vive.

And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

As he was going down, his servants met him and reported, saying “Your child lives!”

Dimandò pertanto ad essi, in che ora avesse cominciato a star meglio. E quelli risposero: Ieri all'ora settima lasciollo la febbre.

Entonces él les preguntó á qué hora comenzó á estar mejor. Y dijéronle: Ayer á las siete le dejó la fiebre.

Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

So he inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They said therefore to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour, the fever left him.”

Riconobbe perciò il Padre, che quella era la stessa ora, in cui Gesù gli aveva detto: Il tuo figliuolo vive: e credette egli, e tutta la sua casa.

El padre entonces entendió, que aquella hora era cuando Jesús le dijo: Tu hijo vive; y creyó él y toda su casa.

So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

So the father knew that it was at that hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” He believed, as did his whole house.

Questo fu il secondo miracolo, che fece di nuovo Gesù, dopo che fu ritornato dalla Giudea nella Galilea. Gesù alla piscina avendo risanato un infermo di trentotto anni, gli ordina in giorno di sabato di portar via il suo letticciuolo. A' Giudei, che lo calunniano, risponde, che fa tutte le cose insieme col Padre, e rende la vita a' morti, ed e stato costituito giudice de' vivi, e de’ morti: e a lui rendon testimonianza e Giovanni, e le opere, che egli fa, e il Padre, e fin lo stesso Mosè.

Esta segunda señal volvió Jesús á hacer, cuando vino de Judea á Galilea.

This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judæa into Galilee.

This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judea into Galilee.
