Juan 3

Eravi un uomo della setta de' Farisei, chiamato Nicodemo, de' principali tra' Giudei.

Y HABÍA un hombre de los Fariseos que se llamaba Nicodemo, príncipe de los Judíos.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

Questi andò di notte tempo da Gesù, e gli disse: Maestro, noi conosciamo, che da Dio se' stato mandato a insegnare: imperocché nessuno può fare que' prodigj, che fai tu, se non ha Dio con se.

Este vino á Jesús de noche, y díjole: Rabbí, sabemos que has venido de Dios por maestro; porque nadie puede hacer estas señales que tú haces, si no fuere Dios con él.

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

He came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”

Rispose Gesù, e dissegli: In verità, in verità ti dico, chiunque non rinascerà da capo, non può vedere il regno di Dio.

Respondió Jesús, y díjole: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere otra vez, no puede ver el reino de Dios.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered him, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom.”

Dissegli Nicodemo: Come mai può un uomo rinascere, quando sia vecchio? Può egli forse rientrar di nuovo nel sen di sua madre, e rinascere.

Dícele Nicodemo: ¿Cómo puede el hombre nacer siendo viejo? ¿puede entrar otra vez en el vientre de su madre, y nacer?

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Gli rispose Gesù: In verità, in verità io ti dico, chi non rinascerà per mezzo dell'acqua, e dello Spirito santo, non può entrare nel regno di Dio.

Respondió Jesús: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de Dios.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.

Quello, che è generato dalla carne, è carne: e quello, che è generato dallo spirito, è spirito.

Lo que es nacido de la carne, carne es; y lo que es nacido del Espíritu, espíritu es.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Non ti meravigliare, se ti ho detto: Bisogna, che voi nasciate da capo.

No te maravilles de que te dije: Os es necesario nacer otra vez.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must all be born anew.’

Lo spirito spira dove vuole: e il suono ne odi, ma non sai, donde venga, né dove vada: così addiviene a chiunque è nato di spirito.

El viento de donde quiere sopla, y oyes su sonido; mas ni sabes de dónde viene, ni á dónde vaya: así es todo aquel que es nacido del Espíritu.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Rispose Nicodemo, e dissegli: Come mai può esser questo?

Respondió Nicodemo, y díjole: ¿Cómo puede esto hacerse?

Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”

Rispose Gesù, e dissegli: Tu sei in Israele maestro, e non intendi queste cose?

Respondió Jesús, y díjole: ¿Tú eres el maestro de Israel, y no sabes esto?

Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?

In verità, in verità ti dico, che noi parliamo di quel, che sappiamo, e attestiamo quello, che abbiam veduto, e voi non date retta alla nostra asserzione.

De cierto, de cierto te digo, que lo que sabemos hablamos, y lo que hemos visto, testificamos; y no recibís nuestro testimonio.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.

Se vi ho parlato di cose della terra, e non mi credete: come mi crederete, se vi parlerò di cose del cielo.

Si os he dicho cosas terrenas, y no creéis, ¿cómo creeréis si os dijere las celestiales?

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

Or nissuno discese in cielo, fuorichè colui, che è disceso dal cielo, il Figliuolo dell'uomo, che sta nel cielo.

Y nadie subió al cielo, sino el que descendió del cielo, el Hijo del hombre, que está en el cielo.

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

E siccome Mosè innalzò nel deserto il serpente; nella stessa guisa fa d'uopo, che sia innalzato il Figliuolo dell'uomo.

Y como Moisés levantó la serpiente en el desierto, así es necesario que el Hijo del hombre sea levantado;

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

Affinchè chiunque in lui crede, non perisca; ma abbia la vita eterna.

Para que todo aquel que en él creyere, no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Imperocché Dio ha talmente amato il mondo, che ha dato il Figliuol suo unigenito, affinchè chiunque in lui creda, non perisca; ma abbia la vita eterna.

Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado á su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Conciossiachè non ha Dio mandato il Figliuol suo al mondo per dannare il mondo; ma affinchè per mezzo di esso il mondo si salvi.

Porque no envió Dios á su Hijo al mundo para que condene al mundo, mas para que el mundo sea salvo por él.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

Chi in lui crede, non è condannato: ma chi non crede, è stato già condannato; perché non crede nel nome dell'unigenito Figliuol di Dio.

El que en él cree, no es condenado; mas el que no cree, ya es condenado, porque no creyó en el nombre del unigénito Hijo de Dios.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.

E la condannazione sta in questo: che venne al mondo la luce, e gli uomini amaron meglio le tenebre, che la luce: perché le opere loro eran malvagge.

Y esta es la condenación: porque la luz vino al mundo, y los hombres amaron más las tinieblas que la luz; porque sus obras eran malas.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.

Imperocché chi fa male, odia la luce, e non si accosta alla luce, affinchè non vengano riprese le opere sue.

Porque todo aquel que hace lo malo, aborrece la luz y no viene á la luz, porque sus obras no sean redargüidas.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.

Chi poi opera secondo la verità, si accosta alla luce, affinchè manifeste rendansi le opere sue; perché sono fatte secondo Dio.

Mas el que obra verdad, viene á la luz, para que sus obras sean manifestadas que son hechas en Dios.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”

Andò dipoi Gesù co' suoi discepoli nella Giudea: e ivi si trattenne con essi, e battezzava.

Pasado esto, vino Jesús con sus discípulos á la tierra de Judea; y estaba allí con ellos, y bautizaba.

After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and baptized.

E Giovanni ancora stava battezzando in Ennon vicino a Salim; perchè quivi vi erano molte acque, e la gente vi concorreva, ed erano battezzati.

Y bautizaba también Juan en Enón junto á Salim, porque había allí muchas aguas; y venían, y eran bautizados.

And John also was baptizing in Ænon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were baptized;

Imperocché non era ancora Giovanni stato messo in prigione.

Porque Juan no había sido aún puesto en la carcel.

For John was not yet cast into prison.

for John was not yet thrown into prison.

E nacque disputa tra i discepoli di Giovanni, e i Giudei intorno alla purificazione.

Y hubo cuestión entre los discípulos de Juan y los Judíos acerca de la purificación.

Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.

Therefore a dispute arose on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.

E andarono da Giovanni, e gli dissero: Maestro, colui, che era teco di là dal Giordano, cui tu rendesti testimonianza, ecco, che questi battezza, e tutti vanno a lui.

Y vinieron á Juan, y dijéronle: Rabbí, el que estaba contigo de la otra parte del Jordán, del cual tú diste testimonio, he aquí bautiza, y todos vienen á él.

And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”

Rispose Giovanni, e disse: Non può l'uomo aver cos' alcuna, se non gli vien data dal cielo.

Respondió Juan, y dijo: No puede el hombre recibir algo, si no le fuere dado del cielo.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

John answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.

Voi stessi mi siete testimoni, come io dissi: Non son io il Cristo, ma sono stato mandato a precederlo.

Vosotros mismos me sois testigos que dije: Yo no soy el Cristo, sino que soy enviado delante de él.

Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’

Sposo è quegli, che ha la sposa: ma l'amico dello sposo, che sta in piedi a udirlo, si riempie di gaudio alla voce dello sposo. Tal gaudio adunque proprio di me lo ho io compiutamente.

El que tiene la esposa, es el esposo; mas el amigo del esposo, que está en pie y le oye, se goza grandemente de la voz del esposo; así pues, este mi gozo es cumplido.

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.

Quegli dee crescere, io essere abbassato.

A él conviene crecer, mas á mí menguar.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

Quegli, che vien di lassù è sopra tutti. E chi vien dalla terra, alla terra appartiene, e parla della terra. Colui, che vien dal cielo, è sopra tutti.

El que de arriba viene, sobre todos es: el que es de la tierra, terreno es, y cosas terrenas habla: el que viene del cielo, sobre todos es.

He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

“He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Ed egli attesta cose, che ha vedute, e udite: e nissuno presta fede alla sua asserzione.

Y lo que vió y oyó, esto testifica: y nadie recibe su testimonio.

And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.

Ma chiunque ha aderito a ciò che egli attesta, depone, che Dio è verace.

El que recibe su testimonio, éste signó que Dios es verdadero.

He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.

Imperocché quegli, che da Dio è stato mandato, parla parole di Dio: conciossiachè non gli da Iddio lo spirito con misura.

Porque el que Dios envió, las palabras de Dios habla: porque no da Dios el Espíritu por medida.

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.

Il Padre ama il Figliuolo: e nelle sue mani ha poste le cose tutte.

El Padre ama al Hijo, y todas las cosas dió en su mano.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

Chi crede nel Figliuolo, ha la vita eterna: ma chi niega fede al Figliuolo, non vedrà la vita; ma sta sopra di lui l'ira di Dio. Parla con la donna Samaritana intorno all'acqua viva, e all'adorazione di Dio in ispirito, manifestandosi a lei pel Messia promesso. Dice a’ discepoli, che ha un cibo non conosciuto da loro, viene a dire, l'ubbidienza al Padre. Della messe, del mietitore, e del seminatore. Molti Samaritani credono in lui. Risana un figlio di un regolo.

El que cree en el Hijo, tiene vida eterna; mas el que es incrédulo al Hijo, no verá la vida, sino que la ira de Dios está sobre él.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
