1Am ersten Tag der Woche ging Maria Magdalena zum Grabe früh am Morgen, als es noch dunkel war; sie sah, daß der Stein vom Grab weggewälzt war.
2Sie lief zu Simon Petrus und zu dem anderen Jünger, zu dem, den Jesus liebte, und sprach zu ihnen: "Man hat den Herrn aus dem Grabe weggenommen, wir wissen nicht, wohin man ihn gelegt hat."
3Da gingen Petrus und der andere Jünger hin und kamen zum Grabe.
4Sie beide liefen miteinander hin; aber der andere Jünger lief schneller als Petrus und kam zuerst am Grab an.
5Er beugte sich vor und sah die Linnentücher daliegen, ging aber nicht hinein.
6Darauf kam Simon Petrus nach ihm an und ging ins Grab hinein. Er sah die Linnentücher daliegen
7und auch das Schweißtuch, das auf seinem Haupte gelegen hatte. Dieses lag nicht bei den Linnentüchern; vielmehr lag es gefaltet für sich besonders.
8Jetzt ging der andere Jünger, der zuerst am Grabe angekommen war, auch hinein, er sah und glaubte.
9Denn noch hatten sie die Schrift nicht verstanden, daß er von den Toten auferstehen müsse.
10Die Jünger gingen dann nach Hause.
11Maria aber stand am Grabe draußen und weinte. Wie sie so weinte, neigte sie sich in das Grab hinein.
12Und da erblickte sie zwei Engel dasitzen in weißen Kleidern, den einen zu Häupten und den anderen zu Füßen, wo der Leib Jesu gelegen hatte.
13Sie fragten sie: "Weib, was weinst du?" Sie sprach zu ihnen. "Man hat meinen Herrn weggenommen, und ich weiß nicht, wohin man ihn gelegt hat."
14Dann wandte sie sich um und sah, wie Jesus vor ihr stand; sie wußte aber nicht, daß es Jesus war.
15Und Jesus sprach zu ihr: "Weib, was weinst du? Wen suchst du?" Im Glauben, es sei der Gärtner, gab sie ihm zur Antwort: "Herr, wenn du ihn fortgetragen hast, sag mir, wohin du ihn gelegt hast; alsdann will ich ihn holen."
16Jesus sprach zu ihr: "Maria." Da wandte sie sich um und sprach zu ihm hebräisch: "Rabboni" - d.h. Meister.
17Doch Jesus sprach zu ihr: "Halte mich nicht fest: noch bin ich nicht zum Vater aufgefahren. Geh aber hin zu meinen Brüdern und sage ihnen: 'Ich fahre auf zu meinem Vater und zu eurem Vater, zu meinem Gott und zu eurem Gott.'"
18Da ging Maria Magdalena hin und verkündete den Jüngern, sie habe den Herrn gesehen, und das habe er zu ihr gesagt.
19Es war schon spät an diesem ersten Wochentag. Die Jünger hatten an dem Ort, wo sie versammelt waren, aus Furcht vor den Juden die Türen fest verschlossen. Da kam Jesus, er trat mitten unter sie und sprach: "Friede sei mit euch!"
20Nach diesen Worten zeigte er ihnen seine Hände und seine Seite. Die Jünger freuten sich, als sie den Herrn sahen.
21Und abermals sprach Jesus zu ihnen: "Friede sei mit euch! Wie mich der Vater gesandt hat, so sende ich euch."
22Nach diesen Worten hauchte er sie an und sprach: "Empfanget den Heiligen Geist!
23Welchen ihr die Sünden nachlasset, denen sind sie nachgelassen, und welchen ihr sie behaltet, denen sind sie behalten."
24Thomas, der "Zwilling", einer aus den Zwölfen, befand sich nicht bei ihnen, als Jesus kam.
25Die anderen Jünger sagten zu ihm: "Wir haben den Herrn gesehen." Er aber sprach zu ihnen: "Wenn ich an seinen Händen nicht das Mal der Nägel sehe und meine Finger nicht in die Wundmale legen kann und meine Hand in seine Seite, kann ich nicht glauben."
26Acht Tage später waren die Jünger wieder in dem Haus versammelt; auch Thomas war bei ihnen. Jesus kam bei verschlossenen Türen, trat mitten unter sie und sprach: "Friede sei mit euch!"
27Dann sagte er zu Thomas: "Lege deinen Finger her und sieh meine Hände; reiche deine Hand und lege sie in meine Seite und sei nicht ungläubig, sondern gläubig."
28Und Thomas rief: "Mein Herr und mein Gott!"
29Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Weil du mich gesehen hast Thomas, deshalb glaubst du. Selig, die nicht sahen und dennoch glaubten."
30Jesus hat vor den Augen seiner Jünger noch viele andere Zeichen getan, die nicht in diesem Buche aufgezeichnet sind.
31Diese hier sind aber aufgezeichnet, damit ihr glaubt, daß Jesus der Christus, der Sohn Gottes ist und damit ihr durch den Glauben Leben habt in seinem Namen.

1Y EL primer día de la semana, María Magdalena vino de mañana, siendo aún obscuro, al sepulcro; y vió la piedra quitada del sepulcro.
2Entonces corrió, y vino á Simón Pedro, y al otro discípulo, al cual amaba Jesús, y les dice: Han llevado al Señor del sepulcro, y no sabemos dónde le han puesto.
3Y salió Pedro, y el otro discípulo, y vinieron al sepulcro.
4Y corrían los dos juntos; mas el otro discípulo corrió más presto que Pedro, y llegó primero al sepulcro.
5Y bajándose á mirar, vió los lienzos echados; mas no entró.
6Llegó luego Simón Pedro siguiéndole, y entró en el sepulcro, y vió los lienzos echados,
7Y el sudario, que había estado sobre su cabeza, no puesto con los lienzos, sino envuelto en un lugar aparte.
8Y entonces entró también el otro discípulo, que había venido primero al sepulcro, y vió, y creyó.
9Porque aun no sabían la Escritura, que era necesario que él resucitase de los muertos.
10Y volvieron los discípulos á los suyos.
11Empero María estaba fuera llorando junto al sepulcro: y estando llorando, bajóse á mirar el sepulcro;
12Y vió dos ángeles en ropas blancas que estaban sentados, el uno á la cabecera, y el otro á los pies, donde el cuerpo de Jesús había sido puesto.
13Y dijéronle: Mujer, ¿por qué lloras? Díceles: Porque se han llevado á mi Señor, y no sé dónde le han puesto.
14Y como hubo dicho esto, volvióse atrás, y vió á Jesús que estaba allí; mas no sabía que era Jesús.
15Dícele Jesús: Mujer, ¿por qué lloras? ¿á quién buscas? Ella, pensando que era el hortelano, dícele: Señor, si tú lo has llevado, dime dónde lo has puesto, y yo lo llevaré.
16Dícele Jesús: ¡María! Volviéndose ella, dícele: ¡Rabboni! que quiere decir, Maestro.
17Dícele Jesús: No me toques: porque aun no he subido á mi Padre: mas ve á mis hermanos, y diles: Subo á mi Padre y á vuestro Padre, á mi Dios y á vuestro Dios.
18Fué María Magdalena dando las nuevas á los discípulos de que había visto al Señor, y que él le había dicho estas cosas.
19Y como fué tarde aquel día, el primero de la semana, y estando las puertas cerradas donde los discípulos estaban juntos por miedo de los Judíos, vino Jesús, y púsose en medio, y díjoles: Paz á vosotros.
20Y como hubo dicho esto, mostróles las manos y el costado. Y los discípulos se gozaron viendo al Señor.
21Entonces les dijo Jesús otra vez: Paz á vosotros; como me envió el Padre, así también yo os envío.
22Y como hubo dicho esto, sopló, y díjoles: Tomad el Espíritu Santo:
23A los que remitiereis los pecados, les son remitidos: á quienes los retuviereis, serán retenidos.
24Empero Tomás, uno de los doce, que se dice el Dídimo, no estaba con ellos cuando Jesús vino.
25Dijéronle pues los otros discípulos: Al Señor hemos visto. Y él les dijo: Si no viere en sus manos la señal de los clavos, y metiere mi dedo en el lugar de los clavos, y metiere mi mano en su costado, no creeré.
26Y ocho días después, estaban otra vez sus discípulos dentro, y con ellos Tomás. Vino Jesús, las puertas cerradas, y púsose en medio, y dijo: Paz á vosotros.
27Luego dice á Tomás: Mete tu dedo aquí, y ve mis manos: y alarga acá tu mano, y métela en mi costado: y no seas incrédulo, sino fiel.
28Entonces Tomás respondió, y díjole: ¡Señor mío, y Dios mío!
29Dícele Jesús: Porque me has visto, Tomás, creiste: bienaventurados los que no vieron y creyeron.
30Y también hizo Jesús muchas otras señales en presencia de sus discípulos, que no están escritas en este libro.
31Estas empero son escritas, para que creáis que Jesús es el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios; y para que creyendo, tengáis vida en su nombre.

1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
2Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
3Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
4So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.
5And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.
6Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,
7And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
8Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.
9For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
10Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
11But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
12And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
14And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
15Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
16Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
17Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
18Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
19Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
23Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

1Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went early, while it was still dark, to the tomb, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
2Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have laid him!”
3Therefore Peter and the other disciple went out, and they went toward the tomb.
4They both ran together. The other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.
5Stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying there; yet he didn’t enter in.
6Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying,
7and the cloth that had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself.
8So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.
9For as yet they didn’t know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
10So the disciples went away again to their own homes.
11But Mary was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb,
12and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13They asked her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they have laid him.”
14When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, and didn’t know that it was Jesus.
15Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.”
16Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him, “Rabboni!” which is to say, “Teacher!”
17Jesus said to her, “Don’t hold me, for I haven’t yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
18Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.
19When therefore it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle and said to them, “Peace be to you.”
20When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord.
21Jesus therefore said to them again, “Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”
22When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit!
23If you forgive anyone’s sins, they have been forgiven them. If you retain anyone’s sins, they have been retained.”
24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, wasn’t with them when Jesus came.
25The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
26After eight days, again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being locked, and stood in the middle, and said, “Peace be to you.”
27Then he said to Thomas, “Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don’t be unbelieving, but believing.”
28Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”
29Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”
30Therefore Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;
31but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
