24Und sie waren Gesandte aus den Pharisäern.
25Und sie fragten ihn und sagten zu ihm: Warum taufst du denn, wenn du nicht der Christus noch Elia, noch der Prophet bist? (a) Mt 21:25

29AM folgenden Tage sieht er Jesus auf sich zu kommen und sagt: Siehe, das Lamm Gottes, das die Sünde der Welt hinwegnimmt! (1) V 36; Jes 53:4 7; 1Pe 1:19; Off 5:6 9 12; 1Jo 3:5
30Dieser ist's, von dem ich gesagt habe: Nach mir kommt ein Mann, der vor mir gewesen ist; denn er war als Erster vor mir. (1) V. 15 27
31Und ich kannte ihn nicht; aber damit er (dem Volk) Israel offenbar würde, deshalb kam ich und taufte mit Wasser. (1) V. 26
32Und Johannes bezeugte: Ich habe den Geist wie eine Taube aus dem Himmel herabschweben sehen, und er blieb auf ihm. (a) Mt 3:16; Mr 1:10; Lu 3:22

35AM folgenden Tage stand Johannes wiederum da und zwei von seinen Jüngern.
36Und indem er auf Jesus blickte, wie er umherging, sagte er: Siehe, das Lamm Gottes! (1) V. 29; Jes 53:7
37Und die beiden Jünger hörten ihn reden und folgten Jesus nach.
38Als aber Jesus sich umwandte und sie nachfolgen sah, sagte er zu ihnen: Was begehrt ihr? Da sagten sie zu ihm: Rabbi das heisst übersetzt: Lehrer, wo hältst du dich auf?
39Er sagt zu ihnen: Kommet, so werdet ihr es sehen! Sie kamen nun und sahen, wo er sich aufhielt, und blieben jenen Tag bei ihm. Es war um die zehnte Stunde.
40Andreas, der Bruder des Simon Petrus, war einer von den zweien, die es von Johannes gehört hatten und ihm nachgefolgt waren.
41Dieser findet zuerst seinen Bruder Simon und sagt zu ihm: Wir haben den Messias gefunden das ist übersetzt: der Gesalbte. (a) Joh 4:25; Ps 2:2
42Er führte ihn zu Jesus. Jesus sah ihn an und sprach: Du bist Simon, der Sohn des Johannes; du wirst Kephas genannt werden das heisst übersetzt: Fels. (1) vgl. Anm. zu Mt 16:18. (a) Mt 16:18; Mr 3:16
43Am folgenden Tage wollte er nach Galiläa weggehen, und er findet Philippus. Und Jesus sagt zu ihm: Folge mir nach! (a) Mr 2:14
44Philippus aber war aus Bethsaida, aus der Stadt des Andreas und des Petrus.
45Philippus findet den Nathanael und sagt zu ihm: Den, von welchem Mose im Gesetz geschrieben hat und die Propheten, haben wir gefunden, Jesus, den Sohn Josephs, aus Nazareth. (a) Joh 21:2; Lu 24:25-27; 5Mo 18:15; Jes 53; Jer 23:5 6; Hes 34:23
46Und Nathanael sagte zu ihm: Kann aus Nazareth etwas Gutes kommen? Philippus sagte zu ihm: Komm und sieh! (a) Joh 7:41 52
47Jesus sah den Nathanael zu sich kommen und sagte von ihm: Siehe, in Wahrheit ein Israelit, in dem kein Trug ist.
48Nathanael sagt zu ihm: Woher kennst du mich? Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Ehe dich Philippus rief, sah ich dich, wie du unter dem Feigenbaum warst.
49Nathanael erwiderte ihm: Rabbi, du bist der Sohn Gottes, du bist der König Israels. (a) Mt 14:33; 16:16; Ps 2:7; Joh 12:13
50Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Weil ich dir sagte: Ich sah dich unter dem Feigenbaum, glaubst du? Grösseres als dies wirst du sehen.

7Este vino por testimonio, para que diese testimonio de la luz, para que todos creyesen por él.

19Y éste es el testimonio de Juan, cuando los Judíos enviaron de Jerusalem sacerdotes y Levitas, que le preguntasen: ¿Tú, quién eres?
20Y confesó, y no negó; mas declaró: No soy yo el Cristo.

22Dijéronle: ¿Pues quién eres? para que demos respuesta á los que nos enviaron. ¿Qué dices de ti mismo?

24Y los que habían sido enviados eran de los Fariseos.
25Y preguntáronle, y dijéronle: ¿Por qué pues bautizas, si tú no eres el Cristo, ni Elías, ni el profeta?
26Y Juan les respondió, diciendo: Yo bautizo con agua; mas en medio de vosotros ha estado á quien vosotros no conocéis.
27Este es el que ha de venir tras mí, el cual es antes de mí: del cual yo no soy digno de desatar la correa del zapato.
28Estas cosas acontecieron en Betábara, de la otra parte del Jordán, donde Juan bautizaba.
29El siguiente día ve Juan á Jesús que venía á él, y dice: He aquí el Cordero de Dios, que quita el pecado del mundo.
30Este es del que dije: Tras mí viene un varón, el cual es antes de mí: porque era primero que yo.
31Y yo no le conocía; más para que fuese manifestado á Israel, por eso vine yo bautizando con agua.
32Y Juan dió testimonio, diciendo: Vi al Espíritu que descendía del cielo como paloma, y reposó sobre él.
33Y yo no le conocía; mas el que me envió á bautizar con agua, aquél me dijo: Sobre quien vieres descender el Espíritu, y que reposa sobre él, éste es el que bautiza con Espíritu Santo.
34Y yo le vi, y he dado testimonio que éste es el Hijo de Dios.
35El siguiente día otra vez estaba Juan, y dos de sus discípulos.

40Era Andrés, hermano de Simón Pedro, uno de los dos que habían oído de Juan, y le habían seguido.
41Este halló primero á su hermano Simón, y díjole: Hemos hallado al Mesías (que declarado es, el Cristo).
42Y le trajo á Jesús. Y mirándole Jesús, dijo: Tú eres Simón, hijo de Jonás: tú serás llamado Cephas (que quiere decir, Piedra).
43El siguiente día quiso Jesús ir á Galilea, y halla á Felipe, al cual dijo: Sígueme.
44Y era Felipe de Bethsaida, la ciudad de Andrés y de Pedro.
45Felipe halló á Natanael, y dícele: Hemos hallado á aquel de quien escribió Moisés en la ley, y los profetas: á Jesús, el hijo de José, de Nazaret.
46Y díjole Natanael: ¿De Nazaret puede haber algo de bueno? Dícele Felipe: Ven y ve.

28These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
30This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
31And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
32And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

43The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

29The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
30This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.’
31I didn’t know him, but for this reason I came baptizing in water, that he would be revealed to Israel.”
32John testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.
33I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’
34I have seen and have testified that this is the Son of God.”
35Again, the next day, John was standing with two of his disciples,
36and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”
37The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38Jesus turned and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are you staying?”
39He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
40One of the two who heard John and followed him was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
41He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Christ).
42He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).
43On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galilee, and he found Philip. Jesus said to him, “Follow me.”
44Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the law and also the prophets, wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
46Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
47Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and said about him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”
48Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
49Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are King of Israel!”
50Jesus answered him, “Because I told you, ‘I saw you underneath the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these!”
51He said to him, “Most certainly, I tell you all, hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
