Juan testificó acerca de Él y clamaba diciendo: "Éste es de Quien yo hablaba: 'El que viene después de mí es más que yo, pues Él era antes que yo.'

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
John testified about him. He cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.’”
Porque de Su plenitud todos hemos recibido gracia sobre gracia.

Entonces ellos le dijeron: "¿Quién eres tú?, para que podamos dar una respuesta a aquéllos quienes nos enviaron. ¿Qué dices acerca de ti mismo?"
Dijéronle: ¿Pues quién eres? para que demos respuesta á los que nos enviaron. ¿Qué dices de ti mismo?
Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
They said therefore to him, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”
Él dijo: "Yo soy una voz, que clama en el desierto: 'Enderezad el camino del Señor', como dijo Isaías el profeta".

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

Y Juan les contestó diciéndoles: "Yo bautizo con agua. Pero, entre ustedes está Uno que ustedes no conocen;

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

Éste es el que viene después de mí, a quien no soy digno de desatar la correa de Su sandalia."

Juan testificó, diciendo: "Yo ví el Espíritu descendiendo como una paloma del cielo y permaneció sobre Él.
Y Juan dió testimonio, diciendo: Vi al Espíritu que descendía del cielo como paloma, y reposó sobre él.
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
John testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.
Y yo no Le conocía, pero El que me envió a bautizar en agua me dijo: 'Sobre Quien veas el Espíritu descender y permanecer sobre Él, ése es el que bautiza en el Espíritu Santo.'

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

Nuevamente, al otro día, mientras Juan estaba con dos de sus discípulos,

viendo a Jesús pasar, dijo: "¡Mirad, el Cordero de Dios!"
Y mirando á Jesús que andaba por allí, dijo: He aquí el Cordero de Dios.
And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!”
Y los dos discípulos oyéndole decir esto, siguieron a Jesús.

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Felipe halló á Natanael, y dícele: Hemos hallado á aquel de quien escribió Moisés en la ley, y los profetas: á Jesús, el hijo de José, de Nazaret.
Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the law and also the prophets, wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Jesús vió a Natanael acercándose a Él y dijo acerca de él: "Miren, un verdadero israelita, en quien no hay engaño!"

Natanael le dijo: "¿de donde me conoces?" Jesús contestó y le dijo: "Antes de que Felipe te llamara, cuando te encontrabas bajo la higuera, Yo te vi."
Dícele Natanael: ¿De dónde me conoces? Respondió Jesús, y díjole: Antes que Felipe te llamara, cuando estabas debajo de la higuera te vi.
Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
Natanael contestó: "¡Rabí, Tú eres el Hijo de Dios! ¡Tú eres el Rey de Israel!"
Respondió Natanael, y díjole: Rabbí, tú eres el Hijo de Dios; tú eres el Rey de Israel.
Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Jesús contestó y le dijo: "¿Porque te dije: 'Te vi debajo de la higuera', ahora crees? Cosas mayores que éstas verás."

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

Y Él les dijo: "De verdad, de verdad les digo a ustedes: Que verán el cielo abierto, y los ángeles de Dios subiendo y bajando sobre el Hijo del Hombre."
Y dícele: De cierto, de cierto os digo: De aquí adelante veréis el cielo abierto, y los ángeles de Dios que suben y descienden sobre el Hijo del hombre.
And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
