Los soldados tejieron una corona de espinas. Ellos la colocaron en la cabeza de Jesús y lo vistieron con una vestidura púrpura.

And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
The soldiers twisted thorns into a crown and put it on his head, and dressed him in a purple garment.
Vinieron a Él y dijeron: "¡Salve, Rey de los judíos!" y ellos le abofetearon.
Y decían: ¡Salve, Rey de los Judíos! y dábanle de bofetadas.
And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.
They kept saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and they kept slapping him.
Entonces Pilato salió otra vez y dijo a la gente: "Vean, yo lo estoy trayendo afuera a ustedes para que ustedes puedan saber que yo no encuentro ninguna culpa en Él".
Entonces Pilato salió otra vez fuera, y díjoles: He aquí, os le traigo fuera, para que entendáis que ningún crimen hallo en él.
Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
Then Pilate went out again, and said to them, “Behold, I bring him out to you, that you may know that I find no basis for a charge against him.”
Por lo tanto, Jesús salió afuera, Él estaba usando la corona de espinas y la vestidura púrpura. Entonces Pilato dijo a ellos: "¡Vean, al Hombre!"

Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!

Por lo tanto, cuando los principales sacerdotes y los oficiales vieron a Jesús, ellos exclamaron y dijeron: "¡Crucifíquenlo, crucifíquenlo!" Pilato les dijo a ellos: "Tómenlo ustedes mismos y crucifíquenlo, porque yo no encuentro culpa en Él."

When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.
When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify!” Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no basis for a charge against him.”
Los judíos le contestaron: "Nosotros tenemos una ley, y de acuerdo a esa ley, Él tiene que morir porque Él se proclamó a sí mismo el Hijo de Dios."
Respondiéronle los Judíos: Nosotros tenemos ley, y según nuestra ley debe morir, porque se hizo Hijo de Dios.
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

Cuando Pilato escuchó esa declaración, él tuvo aún más temor,

When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;

y él entró en el cuartel del gobierno otra vez y dijo a Jesús: "¿De dónde vienes?" Sin embargo, Jesús no le respondió.

And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Jesus, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.
Pilato entonces le dijo a Él: "¿Tú no me hablas a mí? ¿Acaso no sabes Tú, que tengo el poder para dejarte libre, y poder para crucificarte?"
Entonces dícele Pilato: ¿A mí no me hablas? ¿no sabes que tengo potestad para crucificarte, y que tengo potestad para soltarte?
Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
Pilate therefore said to him, “Aren’t you speaking to me? Don’t you know that I have power to release you and have power to crucify you?”
Jesús le contestó a él: "Tú no tienes ningún poder sobre Mí excepto el que te ha sido dado de lo alto. Así que, aquel que Me entregó a ti tiene el mayor pecado."
Respondió Jesús: Ninguna potestad tendrías contra mí, si no te fuese dado de arriba: por tanto, el que á ti me ha entregado, mayor pecado tiene.
Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
Jesus answered, “You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin.”
Ante esta respuesta, Pilato trató de dejarle libre, pero los judíos levantaron su voz diciendo: "Si tú sueltas a este hombre, tú no eres amigo del César: Cualquiera que se hace a sí mismo rey habla en contra del César."
Desde entonces procuraba Pilato soltarle; mas los Judíos daban voces, diciendo: Si á éste sueltas, no eres amigo de César: cualquiera que se hace rey, á César contradice.
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Cæsar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Cæsar.
At this, Pilate was seeking to release him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you release this man, you aren’t Caesar’s friend! Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against Caesar!”
Cuando Pilato escuchó estas palabras, él trajo a Jesús afuera y se sentó en la silla del tribunal en un lugar llamado "El Empedrado", pero en hebreo, "Gábata".
Entonces Pilato, oyendo este dicho, llevó fuera á Jesús, y se sentó en el tribunal en el lugar que se dice Lithóstrotos, y en hebreo Gabbatha.
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.

Ahora era el día de la preparación de la Pascua, como la hora sexta. Pilato le dijo a los judíos: "¡Miren, aquí está su Rey!"
Y era la víspera de la Pascua, y como la hora de sexta. Entonces dijo á los Judíos: He aquí vuestro Rey.
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, at about the sixth hour. He said to the Jews, “Behold, your King!”
Ellos gritaron: "¡Fuera con Él! ¡Fuera con Él! ¡Crucifícalo a Él!" Pilato le dijo a ellos: "¿Acaso voy a crucificar a su Rey?" El jefe de los sacerdotes contestó: "Nosotros no tenemos ningún rey sino a César."
Mas ellos dieron voces: Quita, quita, crucifícale. Díceles Pilato: ¿A vuestro Rey he de crucificar? Respondieron los pontífices: No tenemos rey sino á César.
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cæsar.
They cried out, “Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar!”
Luego Pilato le entregó a Jesús a ellos para que lo crucificaran.
Así que entonces lo entregó á ellos para que fuese crucificado. Y tomaron á Jesús, y le llevaron.
Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
So then he delivered him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led him away.
Luego ellos agarraron a Jesús, y el salió afuera, cargando la cruz por sí mismo, al lugar llamado "El Lugar de la Calavera", que en hebreo se llama "Gólgota".

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

Ellos crucificaron a Jesús ahí, y con Él otros dos hombres, uno a cada lado, con Jesús en el medio.

Pilato además escribió un letrero y lo colocó en la cruz. Ahí estaba escrito: "JESÚS DE NAZARET, EL REY DE LOS JUDÍOS".
Y escribió también Pilato un título, que puso encima de la cruz. Y el escrito era: JESUS NAZARENO, REY DE LOS JUDIOS.
And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Muchos de los judíos leyeron el letrero porque el lugar donde crucificaron a Jesús era cerca de la ciudad. El letrero fue escrito en hebreo, en latín y en griego.
Y muchos de los Judíos leyeron este título: porque el lugar donde estaba crucificado Jesús era cerca de la ciudad: y estaba escrito en hebreo, en griego, y en latín.
This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
Therefore many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.
Luego el jefe de los sacerdotes de los judíos le dijo a Pilato: "No escribas 'Rey de los judíos', mejor que diga: 'Él dijo: 'Yo Soy Rey de los Judíos'""
Y decían á Pilato los pontífices de los Judíos: No escribas, Rey de los Judíos: sino, que él dijo: Rey soy de los Judíos.
Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
The chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate, “Don’t write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but, ‘he said, “I am King of the Jews.”’”
Pilato contestó: "Lo que yo ya escribí, yo ya escribí."
Respondió Pilato: Lo que he escrito, he escrito.
Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
Después que los soldados crucificaron a Jesús, ellos agarraron sus vestiduras y las hicieron cuatro partes; una parte para cada soldado, y la túnica. Ahora la túnica estaba sin costuras, tejida en una sola pieza.
Y como los soldados hubieron crucificado á Jesús, tomaron sus vestidos, é hicieron cuatro partes (para cada soldado una parte); y la túnica; mas la túnica era sin costura, toda tejida desde arriba.
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

Y dijeron entre ellos: No la partamos, sino echemos suertes sobre ella, de quién será; para que se cumpliese la Escritura, que dice: Partieron para sí mis vestidos, y sobre mi vestidura echaron suertes. Y los soldados hicieron esto.
They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.
Then they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, “They parted my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.
Los soldados hicieron estas cosas. La madre de Jesús, la hermana de Su madre, María la esposa de Cleofas, y María Magdalena. Estas mujeres estaban paradas junto a la cruz de Jesús.
Y estaban junto á la cruz de Jesús su madre, y la hermana de su madre, María mujer de Cleofas, y María Magdalena.
Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
But standing by Jesus’ cross were his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
Cuando Jesús vio a su madre y al discípulo que Él amaba parados cerca, Él le dijo a su madre: "¡Mujer, mira, tu hijo!"
Y como vió Jesús á la madre, y al discípulo que él amaba, que estaba presente, dice á su madre: Mujer, he ahí tu hijo.
When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
Therefore when Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
Entonces Él le dijo al discípulo: "¡Mira, tu madre!" Desde esa hora el discípulo se la llevó a su propia casa.
Después dice al discípulo: He ahí tu madre. Y desde aquella hora el discípulo la recibió consigo.
Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.
Después de esto Jesús, porque Él sabía que todas las cosas estaban ahora completadas, a fin de completar las Escrituras, dijo: "Yo tengo sed."

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

Un recipiente lleno de vino amargo había sido colocado allí, así que ellos colocaron una esponja llena de vino amargo en un hisopo y fue llevado hasta su boca.
Y estaba allí un vaso lleno de vinagre: entonces ellos hinchieron una esponja de vinagre, y rodeada á un hisopo, se la llegaron á la boca.
Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
Now a vessel full of vinegar was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.
Cuando Jesús probó el vino amargo, Él dijo: "Está terminado". Él inclinó su cabeza y entregó Su Espíritu.
Y como Jesús tomó el vinagre, dijo: Consumado es. Y habiendo inclinado la cabeza, dió el espíritu.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Entonces los judíos, porque era el día de la preparación, y para que así los cuerpos no permanecieran en la cruz durante el Sábado (Porque el Sábado era un día especialmente importante), le pidieron a Pilato quebrar sus piernas y los removieran.
Entonces los Judíos, por cuanto era la víspera de la Pascua, para que los cuerpos no quedasen en la cruz en el sábado, pues era el gran día del sábado, rogaron á Pilato que se les quebrasen las piernas, y fuesen quitados.
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
Therefore the Jews, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies wouldn’t remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away.
Entonces los soldados vinieron y quebraron las piernas del primer hombre y del segundo hombre que fue crucificado junto a Jesús.

Cuando fueron a donde Jesús, ellos vieron que ya estaba muerto, así que no quebraron sus piernas.
Mas cuando vinieron á Jesús, como le vieron ya muerto, no le quebraron las piernas:
But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
but when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they didn’t break his legs.
Sin embargo, uno de los soldados atravesó su costado con una lanza, e inmediatamente salió sangre y agua.
Empero uno de los soldados le abrió el costado con una lanza, y luego salió sangre y agua.
But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
However, one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
Aquel que lo vió dió testimonio, y su testimonio es verdad. Él sabe que lo que él dijo es cierto para que también ustedes crean.
Y el que lo vió, da testimonio, y su testimonio es verdadero: y él sabe que dice verdad, para que vosotros también creáis.
And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.
Pues estas cosas sucedieron para que se cumpliera la escritura: "NI UNO SOLO DE SUS HUESOS SERÁ QUEBRADO."
Porque estas cosas fueron hechas para que se cumpliese la Escritura: Hueso no quebrantaréis de él.
For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
For these things happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled, “A bone of him will not be broken.”
Otra vez, la escritura dice: "ELLOS LO VERÁN A ÉL, A QUIEN ATRAVESARON."
Y también otra Escritura dice: Mirarán al que traspasaron.
And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
Again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they pierced.”
Luego de estas cosas, José de Arimatea, que era discípulo de Jesús, (pero en secreto porque temía a los judíos), le preguntó a Pilato si podía llevarse el cuerpo de Jesús. Pilato le dio a él permiso. Así que José fue y tomó el cuerpo y se lo llevó.
Después de estas cosas, José de Arimatea, el cual era discípulo de Jesús, mas secreto por miedo de los Judíos, rogó á Pilato que pudiera quitar el cuerpo de Jesús: y permitióselo Pilato. Entonces vino, y quitó el cuerpo de Jesús.
And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
After these things, Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away Jesus’ body. Pilate gave him permission. He came therefore and took away his body.
Nicodemo también vino, él que primero fue a Jesús de noche. Él trajo una mezcla de mirra y sábila, alrededor de cien litros de peso.
Y vino también Nicodemo, el que antes había venido á Jesús de noche, trayendo un compuesto de mirra y de áloes, como cien libras.
And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.

Así que ellos se llevaron el cuerpo de Jesús y lo envolvieron en tela de lino con las especias, como era costumbre de los judíos para sepultar muertos.
Tomaron pues el cuerpo de Jesús, y envolviéronlo en lienzos con especias, como es costumbre de los Judíos sepultar.
Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.
So they took Jesus’ body, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.
Ahora en el lugar donde Él fue crucificado había ahí un jardín; y en el jardín había un sepulcro nuevo en el que no se había sepultado a nadie aún.
Y en aquel lugar donde había sido crucificado, había un huerto; y en el huerto un sepulcro nuevo, en el cual aun no había sido puesto ninguno.
Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.

Porque era el día de la preparación para los judíos y porque el sepulcro estaba cerca, ellos acostaron a Jesús dentro de él.
Allí, pues, por causa de la víspera de la Pascua de los Judíos, porque aquel sepulcro estaba cerca, pusieron á Jesús.
There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews’ preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
Then, because of the Jews’ Preparation Day (for the tomb was near at hand), they laid Jesus there.
