Da sagte Pilatus zu ihm: "So bist du also doch ein König?" Jesus erwiderte: "Du sagst, ich sei ein König. Ich bin dazu geboren und dazu in die Welt gekommen, um für die Wahrheit Zeugnis abzulegen. Wer immer aus der Wahrheit stammt, der hört auf meine Stimme."
Díjole entonces Pilato: ¿Luego rey eres tú? Respondió Jesús: Tú dices que yo soy rey. Yo para esto he nacido, y para esto he venido al mundo, para dar testimonio á la verdad. Todo aquél que es de la verdad, oye mi voz.
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Pilate therefore said to him, “Are you a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”
