1Wenn ihr mich kennetet, so kennetet ihr auch meinen Vater. Und von nun an kennet ihr ihn und habt ihn gesehen.
2Spricht zu ihm Philippus: HERR, zeige uns den Vater, so genüget uns.
3Jesus spricht zu ihm: So lange bin ich bei euch und du kennest mich nicht? Philippus, wer mich siehet, der siehet den Vater. Wie sprichst du denn: Zeige uns en Vater?
4Glaubest du nicht, daß ich im Vater und der Vater in mir ist? Die Worte, die zu euch rede, die rede ich nicht von mir selbst. Der Vater aber, der in mir wohnet, derselbige tut die Werke.
5Glaubet mir, daß ich im Vater und der Vater in mir ist; wo nicht, so glaubet mir doch um der Werke willen.
6Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wer an mich glaubet, der wird die Werke auch tun, die ich tue, und wird größere denn diese tun; denn ich gehe zum Vater
7Und was ihr bitten werdet in meinem Namen, das will ich tun, auf daß der Vater geehret werde in dem Sohne
8Was ihr bitten werdet in meinem Namen das will ich tun.
9Liebet ihr mich, so haltet meine Gebote.
10Und ich will den Vater bitten, und er soll euch einen andern Tröster geben, daß er bei euch bleibe ewiglich,
11den Geist der Wahrheit, welchen die Welt nicht kann empfangen; denn sie siehet ihn nicht und kennet ihn nicht. Ihr aber kennet ihn; denn er bleibet bei euch und wird in euch sein.
12Ich will euch nicht Waisen lassen; ich komme zu euch.
13Es ist noch um ein kleines, so wird mich die Welt nicht mehr sehen; ihr aber sollt mich sehen: denn ich lebe, und ihr sollt auch leben.
14An demselbigen Tage werdet ihr erkennen, daß ich in meinem Vater bin und ihr in mir und ich in euch.
15Wer meine Gebote hat und hält sie, der ist's, der mich liebet. Wer mich aber liebet, der wird von meinem Vater geliebet werden, und ich werde ihn lieben und mich ihm offenbaren.
16Spricht zu ihm Judas, nicht der Ischariot: HERR, was ist's, daß du uns willst dich offenbaren und nicht der Welt?
17Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Wer mich liebet, der wird mein Wort halten; und mein Vater wird ihn lieben, und wir werden zu ihm kommen und Wohnung bei ihm machen.
18Wer aber mich nicht liebet, der hält meine Worte nicht. Und das Wort, das ihr höret ist nicht mein, sondern des Vaters, der mich gesandt hat.
19Solches hab' ich zu euch geredet, weil ich bei euch gewesen bin.
20Aber der Tröster, der Heilige Geist, welchen mein Vater senden wird in meinem Namen, derselbige wird's euch alles lehren und euch erinnern alles des, das ich euch gesagt habe.
21Den Frieden lasse ich euch; meinen Frieden gebe ich euch. Nicht gebe ich euch, wie die Welt gibt. Euer Herz erschrecke nicht und fürchte sich nicht!
22Ihr habt gehöret, daß ich euch gesagt habe: Ich gehe hin und komme wieder zu euch. Hättet ihr mich lieb, so würdet ihr euch freuen, daß ich gesagt habe: Ich gehe zum Vater; denn der Vater ist größer denn ich.
23Und nun hab' ich's euch gesagt, ehe denn es geschiehet, auf daß, wenn es nun geschehen wird, daß ihr glaubet.
24Ich werde hinfort nicht mehr viel mit euch reden; denn es kommt der Fürst dieser Welt und hat nichts an mir.
25Aber daß die Welt erkenne, daß ich den Vater liebe, und ich also tue, wie mir der Vater geboten hat, stehet auf und lasset uns von hinnen gehen!
26Ich bin ein rechter Weinstock und mein Vater ein Weingärtner.
27Eine jegliche Rebe an mir, die nicht Frucht bringet, wird er wegnehmen, und eine jegliche, die da Frucht bringet, wird er reinigen, daß sie mehr Frucht bringe.
28Ihr seid jetzt rein um des Worts willen, das ich zu euch geredet habe.
29Bleibt in mir und ich in euch. Gleichwie die Rebe kann keine Frucht bringen von ihr selber, sie bleibe denn am Weinstock, also auch ihr nicht, ihr bleibet denn an mir.
30Ich bin der Weinstock; ihr seid die Reben. Wer in mir bleibet und ich in ihm der bringet viel Frucht; denn ohne mich könnt ihr nichts tun.
31Wer nicht in mir bleibet, der wird weggeworfen wie eine Rebe und verdorret, und man sammelt sie und wirft sie ins Feuer, und muß brennen.

1NO se turbe vuestro corazón: creéis en Dios, creed también en mí.
2En la casa de mi Padre muchas moradas hay: de otra manera os lo hubiera dicho: voy, pues, á preparar lugar para vosotros.
3Y si me fuere, y os aparejare lugar, vendré otra vez, y os tomaré á mí mismo: para que donde yo estoy, vosotros también estéis.
4Y sabéis á dónde yo voy; y sabéis el camino.
5Dícele Tomás: Señor, no sabemos á dónde vas: ¿cómo, pues, podemos saber el camino?
6Jesús le dice: Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida: nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí.
7Si me conocieseis, también á mi Padre conocierais: y desde ahora le conocéis, y le habéis visto.
8Dícele Felipe: Señor, muéstranos el Padre, y nos basta.
9Jesús le dice: ¿Tanto tiempo ha que estoy con vosotros, y no me has conocido, Felipe? El que me ha visto, ha visto al Padre; ¿cómo, pues, dices tú: Muéstranos el Padre?
10¿No crees que yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí? Las palabras que yo os hablo, no las hablo de mí mismo: mas el Padre que está en mí, él hace las obras.
11Creedme que yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí: de otra manera, creedme por las mismas obras.
12De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que en mí cree, las obras que yo hago también él las hará; y mayores que éstas hará; porque yo voy al Padre.
13Y todo lo que pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, esto haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.
14Si algo pidiereis en mi nombre, yo lo haré.
15Si me amáis, guardad mis mandamientos;
16Y yo rogaré al Padre, y os dará otro Consolador, para que esté con vosotros para siempre:
17Al Espíritu de verdad, al cual el mundo no puede recibir, porque no le ve, ni le conoce: mas vosotros le conocéis; porque está con vosotros, y será en vosotros.
18No os dejaré huérfanos: vendré á vosotros.
19Aun un poquito, y el mundo no me verá más; empero vosotros me veréis; porque yo vivo, y vosotros también viviréis.
20En aquel día vosotros conoceréis que yo estoy en mi Padre, y vosotros en mí, y yo en vosotros.
21El que tiene mis mandamientos, y los guarda, aquél es el que me ama; y el que me ama, será amado de mi Padre, y yo le amaré, y me manifestaré á él.
22Dícele Judas, no el Iscariote: Señor, ¿qué hay porque te hayas de manifestar á nosotros, y no al mundo?
23Respondió Jesús, y díjole: El que me ama, mi palabra guardará; y mi Padre le amará, y vendremos á él, y haremos con él morada.
24El que no me ama, no guarda mis palabras: y la palabra que habéis oído, no es mía, sino del Padre que me envió.
25Estas cosas os he hablado estando con vosotros.
26Mas el Consolador, el Espíritu Santo, al cual el Padre enviará en mi nombre, él os enseñará todas las cosas, y os recordará todas las cosas que os he dicho.
27La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy: no como el mundo la da, yo os la doy. No se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo.
28Habéis oído cómo yo os he dicho: Voy, y vengo á vosotros. Si me amaseis, ciertamente os gozaríais, porque he dicho que voy al Padre: porque el Padre mayor es que yo.
29Y ahora os lo he dicho antes que se haga; para que cuando se hiciere, creáis.
30Ya no hablaré mucho con vosotros: porque viene el príncipe de este mundo; mas no tiene nada en mí.
31Empero para que conozca el mundo que amo al Padre, y como el Padre me dió el mandamiento, así hago. Levantaos, vamos de aquí.

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

1“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
2In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
3If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
4You know where I go, and you know the way.”
5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
7If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.”
8Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
9Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
10Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.
13Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
15If you love me, keep my commandments.
16I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever:
17the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
18I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
19Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.
20In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”
22Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
24He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25“I have said these things to you while still living with you.
26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
27Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
28You heard how I told you, ‘I am going away, and I will come back to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.
29Now I have told you before it happens so that when it happens, you may believe.
30I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.
31But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let’s go from here.
