1Seis dias antes da Páscoa, Jesus veio a Betânia, onde estava Lázaro, o qual Ele havia ressuscitado dentre os mortos.
2Então, ali fizeram com Ele um jantar, e Marta servia, e Lázaro era um dos que sentaram à mesa com Jesus.
3Então, Maria pegou uma libra de perfume feito de puro nardo, muito precioso, ungiu os pés de Jesus com isso, e enxugou-Lhe os pés com seus cabelos; a casa encheu-se com a fragrância do perfume.
4Judas Iscariotes, um de Seus discípulos, aquele que O havia de trair, disse:
5"Por que este perfume não foi vendido por trezentos denários, e dado aos pobres?".
6Ora, ele disse isso, não por causa do cuidado com os pobres, mas porque era ladrão; ele era encarregado da bolsa do dinheiro, e roubava o que ali se lançava.
7Jesus disse: "Deixai-a, ela guardou isto para o dia do meu sepultamento”.
8Os pobres vós sempre tereis convosco, mas nem sempre tereis a Mim".
9E uma grande multidão de judeus soube que Jesus estava lá, e veio, não apenas por causa de Jesus, mas também para ver Lázaro, a quem Jesus havia ressuscitado dentre os mortos.
10Os principais sacerdotes conspiraram juntos para também levar Lázaro à morte;
11porque foi por causa dele que muitos dos judeus se afastaram e creram em Jesus.
12No dia seguinte, uma grande multidão veio para a festa. Quando eles ouviram que Jesus vinha para Jerusalém,
13trouxeram ramos de palmeiras, e saíram ao Seu encontro para saudá-Lo, gritando: "Hosana! Bendito o que vem em Nome do Senhor, o Rei de Israel".
14Jesus encontrou um jumentinho, e montou nele, como está escrito:
15"Não tenhas medo, filha de Sião; eis que teu Rei está vindo, sentado em um jumentinho".
16Seus discípulos não entenderam essas coisas a princípio, mas, quando Jesus foi glorificado, então se lembraram de que essas coisas estavam escritas sobre Ele, e que assim fizeram a Ele.
17Então, a multidão que estivera com Jesus quando Ele chamou Lázaro para fora do sepulcro e o ressuscitou dentre os mortos, deu testemunho para outros.
18Foi também por esta razão que a multidão saiu para conhecê-Lo, porque ouviram que Ele havia feito este sinal.
19Portanto, os fariseus disseram entre si: "Vede, vós não podeis fazer nada; eis que o mundo tem ido atrás Dele".
20Entre os que subiram para adorar na festa, estavam alguns gregos.
21Esses foram para Filipe, que era de Betsaida na Galileia, e perguntaram-lhe dizendo: "Senhor, nós desejamos ver Jesus".
22Filipe foi e falou a André; André foi com Filipe, e falaram a Jesus.
23Jesus lhes respondeu, dizendo: "Chegou a hora do Filho do homem ser glorificado.
24Em verdade, em verdade, vos digo que, se o grão de trigo que cai na terra não morrer, ele permanece só, mas, se ele morrer, produzirá muito fruto.
25Quem ama sua vida a perderá; mas quem odeia sua vida neste mundo a conservará para vida eterna.
26Se alguém quiser Me servir, siga-Me, e onde Eu estiver, lá Meu servo também estará. Se alguém Me serve, Meu Pai o honrará.
27Agora, minha alma está angustiada. E o que direi? 'Pai, salva-Me desta hora’?’ Mas por isso vim, para esta hora.
28Pai, glorifica o Teu nome". Então, uma voz saiu do céu, e disse: "Já O glorifiquei e novamente O glorificarei".
29Quando a multidão, que ali estava, ouviu isso, disse que foi um trovão. Outros disseram: "Um anjo Lhe falou".
30Jesus respondeu e disse: "Essa voz não veio por Minha causa, mas por vossa causa.
31Agora é o julgamento deste mundo, e o príncipe deste mundo será expulso.
32E quando Eu for levantado da terra, atrairei todos a Mim mesmo".
33Ele disse isso para referir-Se ao tipo de morte do qual morreria.
34A multidão Lhe respondeu: "Nós temos ouvido da Lei que o Cristo permanece para sempre. Como Tu dizes: 'O Filho do Homem será levantado?'. Quem é Este Filho do Homem?".
35Disse-lhes, então, Jesus: "Ainda por um pouco mais de tempo a Luz estará entre vós. Caminhai enquanto tendes luz, para que as trevas não vos surpreendam. Quem caminha na escuridão não sabe para onde vai.
36"Enquanto tendes luz, crede na luz, para que vos torneis filhos da luz". Jesus disse essas coisas e então partiu, e ocultou-Se deles.
37Embora Jesus tivesse feito muitos sinais diante deles, eles ainda não creram Nele,
38para que se cumprisse a palavra do profeta Isaías, que diz: "Senhor, quem creu em nossa pregação? E a quem foi revelado o braço do Senhor?".
39Por essa razão, eles não podiam crer, pois Isaías também disse:
40"Cegou-lhes os olhos, e endureceu-lhes o coração; para que não vejam com os olhos, nem entendam com o coração, e se convertam, e Eu os cure".
41Isaías disse isso porque viu a Sua glória, e falou a respeito Dele.
42Apesar de tudo, muitos dos líderes acreditaram em Jesus; mas por causa dos fariseus, eles não admitiram isso, para não serem banidos da sinagoga.
43Eles amavam a glória que vinha das pessoas mais do que a glória que vem de Deus.
44Jesus clamou e disse: "Quem crê em Mim, crê não somente em Mim, mas também Naquele que Me enviou,
45e o que Me vê, vê Aquele que Me enviou.
46Eu vim como luz ao mundo, de modo que todo aquele que crê em Mim não permaneça na escuridão.
47Se alguém ouve Minhas palavras, mas não as guarda, Eu não o julgo, pois vim, não para julgar o mundo, mas para salvar o mundo.
48Quem Me rejeita e não recebe Minhas palavras, já tem quem o julgue: a Palavra que Eu preguei, essa o julgará no último dia.
49Pois Eu não falei por Mim mesmo; ao contrário, o Pai que Me enviou, ordenou-Me o que dizer e o que falar.
50Eu sei que Seu mandamento é vida eterna; portanto, o que Eu digo é aquilo que o Pai Me mandou dizer".

1Y JESÚS, seis días antes de la Pascua, vino á Bethania, donde estaba Lázaro, que había sido muerto, al cual había resucitado de los muertos.
2E hiciéronle allí una cena: y Marta servía, y Lázaro era uno de los que estaban sentados á la mesa juntamente con él.
3Entonces María tomó una libra de ungüento de nardo líquido de mucho precio, y ungió los pies de Jesús, y limpió sus pies con sus cabellos: y la casa se llenó del olor del ungüento.
4Y dijo uno de sus discípulos, Judas Iscariote, hijo de Simón, el que le había de entregar:
5¿Por qué no se ha vendido este ungüento por trescientos dineros, y se dió á los pobres?
6Mas dijo esto, no por el cuidado que él tenía de los pobres; sino porque era ladrón, y tenía la bolsa, y traía lo que se echaba en ella.
7Entonces Jesús dijo: Déjala: para el día de mi sepultura ha guardado esto;
8Porque á los pobres siempre los tenéis con vosotros, mas á mí no siempre me tenéis.
9Entonces mucha gente de los Judíos entendió que él estaba allí; y vinieron no solamente por causa de Jesús, mas también por ver á Lázaro, al cual había resucitado de los muertos.
10Consultaron asimismo los príncipes de los sacerdotes, de matar también á Lázaro;
11Porque muchos de los Judíos iban y creían en Jesús por causa de él.
12El siguiente día, mucha gente que había venido á la fiesta, como oyeron que Jesús venía á Jerusalem,
13Tomaron ramos de palmas, y salieron á recibirle, y clamaban: ¡Hosanna, Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor, el Rey de Israel!
14Y halló Jesús un asnillo, y se sentó sobre él, como está escrito:
15No temas, hija de Sión: he aquí tu Rey viene, sentado sobre un pollino de asna.
16Estas cosas no las entendieron sus discípulos de primero: empero cuando Jesús fué glorificado, entonces se acordaron de que estas cosas estaban escritas de él, y que le hicieron estas cosas.
17Y la gente que estaba con él, daba testimonio de cuando llamó á Lázaro del sepulcro, y le resucitó de los muertos.
18Por lo cual también había venido la gente á recibirle, porque había oído que él había hecho esta señal;
19Mas los Fariseos dijeron entre sí: ¿Veis que nada aprovecháis? he aquí, el mundo se va tras de él.
20Y había ciertos Griegos de los que habían subido á adorar en la fiesta:
21Estos pues, se llegaron á Felipe, que era de Bethsaida de Galilea, y rogáronle, diciendo: Señor, querríamos ver á Jesús.
22Vino Felipe, y díjolo á Andrés: Andrés entonces, y Felipe, lo dicen á Jesús.
23Entonces Jesús les respondió, diciendo: La hora viene en que el Hijo del hombre ha de ser glorificado.
24De cierto, de cierto os digo, que si el grano de trigo no cae en la tierra y muere, él solo queda; mas si muriere, mucho fruto lleva.
25El que ama su vida, la perderá; y el que aborrece su vida en este mundo, para vida eterna la guardará.
26Si alguno me sirve, sígame: y donde yo estuviere, allí también estará mi servidor. Si alguno me sirviere, mi Padre le honrará.
27Ahora está turbada mi alma; ¿y qué diré? Padre, sálvame de esta hora. Mas por esto he venido en esta hora.
28Padre, glorifica tu nombre. Entonces vino una voz del cielo: Y lo he glorificado, y lo glorificaré otra vez.
29Y la gente que estaba presente, y había oído, decía que había sido trueno. Otros decían: Angel le ha hablado.
30Respondió Jesús, y dijo: No ha venido esta voz por mi causa, mas por causa de vosotros.
31Ahora es el juicio de este mundo: ahora el príncipe de este mundo será echado fuera.
32Y yo, si fuere levantado de la tierra, á todos traeré á mí mismo.
33Y esto decía dando á entender de qué muerte había de morir.
34Respondióle la gente: Nosotros hemos oído de la ley, que el Cristo permanece para siempre: ¿cómo pues dices tú: Conviene que el Hijo del hombre sea levantado? ¿Quién es este Hijo del hombre?
35Entonces Jesús les dice: Aun por un poco estará la luz entre vosotros: andad entre tanto que tenéis luz, porque no os sorprendan las tinieblas; porque el que anda en tinieblas, no sabe dónde va.
36Entre tanto que tenéis la luz, creed en la luz, para que seáis hijos de luz. Estas cosas habló Jesús, y fuése, y escondióse de ellos.
37Empero habiendo hecho delante de ellos tantas señales, no creían en él.
38Para que se cumpliese el dicho que dijo el profeta Isaías: ¿Señor, quién ha creído á nuestro dicho? ¿y el brazo del Señor, á quién es revelado?
39Por esto no podían creer, porque otra vez dijo Isaías:
40Cegó los ojos de ellos, y endureció su corazón; porque no vean con los ojos, y entiendan de corazón, y se conviertan, y yo los sane.
41Estas cosas dijo Isaías cuando vió su gloria, y habló de él.
42Con todo eso, aun de los príncipes, muchos creyeron en él; mas por causa de los Fariseos no lo confesaban, por no ser echados de la sinagoga.
43Porque amaban más la gloria de los hombres que la gloria de Dios.
44Mas Jesús clamó y dijo: El que cree en mí, no cree en mí, sino en el que me envió;
45Y el que me ve, ve al que me envió.
46Yo la luz he venido al mundo, para que todo aquel que cree en mí no permanezca en tinieblas.
47Y el que oyere mis palabras, y no las creyere, yo no le juzgo; porque no he venido á juzgar al mundo, sino á salvar al mundo.
48El que me desecha, y no recibe mis palabras, tiene quien le juzgue: la palabra que he hablado, ella le juzgará en el día postrero.
49Porque yo no he hablado de mí mismo: mas el Padre que me envió, él me dió mandamiento de lo que he de decir, y de lo que he de hablar.
50Y sé que su mandamiento es vida eterna: así que, lo que yo hablo, como el Padre me lo ha dicho, así hablo.

1Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
2There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
3Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
4Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him,
5Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
7Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
8For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
9Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
10But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
11Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
12On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.
16These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
17The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
18For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
19The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
20And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
21The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
22Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
23And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
25He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
26If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
27Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
30Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33This he said, signifying what death he should die.
34The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
35Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
37But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
38That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
40He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
41These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
42Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
44Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
45And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
46I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
47And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

5“Why wasn’t this ointment sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?”
6Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it.
7But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. She has kept this for the day of my burial.
8For you always have the poor with you, but you don’t always have me.”
9A large crowd therefore of the Jews learned that he was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
10But the chief priests conspired to put Lazarus to death also,
11because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.
12On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him, and cried out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!”
14Jesus, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,
15“Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”
16His disciples didn’t understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.
17The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead was testifying about it.
18For this cause also the multitude went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.
19The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, “See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him.”
20Now there were certain Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.
21Therefore, these came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”
22Philip came and told Andrew, and in turn, Andrew came with Philip, and they told Jesus.
23Jesus answered them, “The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
24Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
25He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life.
26If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
27“Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this time’? But I came to this time for this cause.
28Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came out of the sky, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”
29Therefore the multitude who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.”
30Jesus answered, “This voice hasn’t come for my sake, but for your sakes.
31Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out.
32And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
33But he said this, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
34The multitude answered him, “We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever. How do you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”
35Jesus therefore said to them, “Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness doesn’t overtake you. He who walks in the darkness doesn’t know where he is going.
36While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light.” Jesus said these things, and he departed and hid himself from them.
37But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn’t believe in him,
38that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39For this cause they couldn’t believe, for Isaiah said again:
40“He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.”
41Isaiah said these things when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
42Nevertheless, even many of the rulers believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they didn’t confess it, so that they wouldn’t be put out of the synagogue,
43for they loved men’s praise more than God’s praise.
44Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.
45He who sees me sees him who sent me.
46I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.
47If anyone listens to my sayings and doesn’t believe, I don’t judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48He who rejects me, and doesn’t receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke will judge him in the last day.
49For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me gave me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.
50I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak.”
