¡Oh quién me diese en el desierto un mesón de caminantes, para que dejase mi pueblo, y de ellos me apartase! Porque todos ellos son adúlteros, congregación de prevaricadores.

El SEÑOR declara: "Ellos tensan sus arcos de mentiras con sus lenguas, pero no es a causa de alguna fidelidad de ellos que ellos se fortalecen en la tierra. Ellos van de un acto malvado a otro. Ellos no me conocen."
E hicieron que su lengua, como su arco, tirase mentira; y no se fortalecieron por verdad en la tierra: porque de mal en mal procedieron, y me han desconocido, dice Jehová.
And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.
“They bend their tongue, as their bow, for falsehood. They have grown strong in the land, but not for truth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they don’t know me,” says the LORD.
Cada uno de ustedes, esté en guardia contra su vecino y no confíen en ningún hermano. Pues cada hermano es ciertamente engañador, y cada vecino camina en calumnia.
Guárdese cada uno de su compañero, ni en ningún hermano tenga confianza: porque todo hermano engaña con falacia, y todo compañero anda con falsedades.
Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.
“Everyone beware of his neighbor, and don’t trust in any brother; for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will go around like a slanderer.
Cada hombre se burla de su vecino y no habla la verdad. Sus lenguas enseñan cosas engañosas. Ellos están exaustos de cometer inquidad.
Y cada uno engaña á su compañero, y no hablan verdad: enseñaron su lengua á hablar mentira, se ocupan de hacer perversamente.
And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.

Tus moradas están en medio del engaño; en su engaño ellos se rehúsan a reconocerme--esta es la declaración del SEÑOR.

Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.

El SEÑOR de los ejércitos dice esto: "Miren, Yo estoy a punto de refinarlos y probarlos, ¿pues qué más puedo Yo hacer, por causa de lo que Mi pueblo ha hecho?
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí que yo los fundiré, y los ensayaré; porque ¿cómo he de hacer por la hija de mi pueblo?
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?

Sus lenguas son flechas afiladas; ellos hablan cosas infieles. Con sus bocas ellos proclaman paz con sus vecinos, pero con sus corazones ellos los asechan.
Saeta afilada es la lengua de ellos; engaño habla; con su boca habla paz con su amigo, y dentro de sí pone sus asechanzas.
Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.
Their tongue is a deadly arrow. It speaks deceit. One speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart, he waits to ambush him.
¿No debería Yo castigarlos por causa de estas cosas--esta es la declaración del SEÑOR--y no debería Yo vengarme en una nación así?
¿No los tengo de visitar sobre estas cosas? dice Jehová. ¿De tal gente no se vengará mi alma?
Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
Shouldn’t I punish them for these things?” says the LORD. “Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on a nation such as this?
Yo cantaré una canción de luto y lamento por las montañas, y una canción fúnebre será cantada por las praderas. Pues ellas fueron quemadas para que nadie pueda pasar por ellas. Ellos no escucharán el sonido de ningún ganado. Los pájaros del cielo y los animales han volado lejos.
Sobre los montes levantaré lloro y lamentación, y llanto sobre las moradas del desierto; porque desolados fueron hasta no quedar quien pase, ni oyeron bramido de ganado: desde las aves del cielo y hasta las bestias de la tierra se trasportaron, y se fueron.
For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
I will weep and wail for the mountains, and lament for the pastures of the wilderness, because they are burned up, so that no one passes through; Men can’t hear the voice of the livestock. Both the birds of the sky and the animals have fled. They are gone.

And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.

¿Qué hombre es suficientemente sabio para entender esto? ¿A quién ha hablado la boca del SEÑOR, y El lo declare? ¿Por qué la tierra ha perecido y ha sido destruida como el desierto que nadie puede pasar?
¿Quién es varón sabio que entienda esto? ¿y á quién habló la boca de Jehová, para que pueda declararlo? ¿Por qué causa la tierra ha perecido, ha sido asolada como desierto, que no hay quien pase?
Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?
Who is wise enough to understand this? Who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD has spoken, that he may declare it? Why has the land perished and burned up like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?
El SEÑOR dice: "Esto es porque han abandonado mi ley, la cual puse delante de ellos, porque ellos no esuchan mi voz ni caminan por ella.
Y dijo Jehová: Porque dejaron mi ley, la cual dí delante de ellos, y no obedecieron á mi voz, ni caminaron conforme á ella;
And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;
The LORD says, “Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in my ways,
Esto es porque ellos han caminado según sus corazones tercos y han seguido a los baales así como sus padres les enseñaron a hacer. "
Antes se fueron tras la imaginación de su corazón, y en pos de los Baales que les enseñaron sus padres:
But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
but have walked after the stubbornness of their own heart and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them.”
Por lo tanto, El SEÑOR de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, dice esto: 'Miren, Yo estoy a punto de hacer que este pueblo coma ajenjo y beba agua venenosa.
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: He aquí que á este pueblo yo les daré á comer ajenjos, y les daré á beber aguas de hiel.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.

Luego, los esparciré entre las naciones que ellos no han conocido, ni ellos ni sus ancestros. Yo enviaré una espada tras ellos hasta que los haya destruido completamente."

El SEÑOR de los ejércitos dice esto: "Piensa en esto: Convoca a cantantes de funeral; deja que ellos vengan. Busquen a mujeres hábiles para el lamento; deja que vengan.
Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Considerad, y llamad plañideras que vengan; y enviad por las sabias que vengan:
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come:
The LORD of Armies says, “Consider, and call for the mourning women, that they may come. Send for the skillful women, that they may come.
Deja que se apresuren y canten canciones de lamento sobre nosotros, para que nuestras lágrimas corran por nuestros ojos y de nuestros párpados fluya agua."
Y dense prisa, y levanten llanto sobre nosotros, y córranse nuestros ojos en lágrimas, y nuestros párpados en aguas se destilen.

Pues el sonido de gemido es escuchado en Sion: 'Cómo estamos devastados. Nosotros estamos grandemente avergonzados, pues nosotros hemos abandonado la tierra desde que ellos derribaron nuestras casas.'
Porque voz de endecha fué oída de Sión: ¡Cómo hemos sido destruídos! en gran manera hemos sido confundidos. ¿Por qué dejamos la tierra? ¿por qué nos han echado de sí nuestras moradas?
For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.

Así que ustedes mujeres, escuchen la palabra del SEÑOR; presten atención a los mensajes que vienen de Su boca. Luego, enseñen a sus hijas una canción de lamento, y a cada vecina una canción de funeral.
Oid pues, oh mujeres, palabra de Jehová, y vuestro oído reciba la palabra de su boca; y enseñad endechas á vuestras hijas, y cada una á su amiga, lamentación.
Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation.

Pues la muerte ha venido a través de nuestras ventanas; ésta va dentro nuestros palacios. Esta destruye a los niños desde afuera, y a hombre jóvenes en las plazas de la ciudad.
Porque la muerte ha subido por nuestras ventanas, ha entrado en nuestros palacios; para talar los niños de las calles, los mancebos de las plazas.
For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets.

Declara esto: 'Esta es la declaración del SEÑOR--los cadáveres de los hombres caerán como excremento en los campos, y como tallos de granos detrás de los segadores, y no habrá ninguno para recogerlos."'
Habla: Así ha dicho Jehová: Los cuerpos de los hombres muertos caerán como estiércol sobre la haz del campo, y como manojo tras el segador, que no hay quien lo recoja.
Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.

El SEÑOR dice esto: "No permitan que el hombre sabio se enorgullezca en su sabiduría, o el guerrero en su fuerza. No permitan que el hombre rico se enorgullezca en sus riquezas.
Así dijo Jehová: No se alabe el sabio en su sabiduría, ni en su valentía se alabe el valiente, ni el rico se alabe en sus riquezas.
Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
The LORD says, “Don’t let the wise man glory in his wisdom. Don’t let the mighty man glory in his might. Don’t let the rich man glory in his riches.
Pues si un hombre se enorgullece de algo, deja que sea en esto: que tiene visión y Me conoce. Pues Yo soy el SEÑOR, quien actúa con lealtad al pacto, justicia y honradez en la tierra. Pues es en esto que me complazco--esta es la declaración del SEÑOR."
Mas alábese en esto el que se hubiere de alabar: en entenderme y conocerme, que yo soy Jehová, que hago misericordia, juicio, y justicia en la tierra: porque estas cosas quiero, dice Jehová.
But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
But let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for I delight in these things,” says the LORD.
"Miren, vienen días--esta es la declaración del SEÑOR--cuando Yo voy a castigar a todos los circuncidados que lo están sólo en sus cuerpos.
He aquí que vienen días, dice Jehová, y visitaré sobre todo circuncidado, y sobre todo incircunciso:
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;

Yo castigaré a Egipto y Judá, Edom, el pueblo de Amón, Moab, y todo el pueblo que se corta el cabello de sus cabeza muy corto. Pues todas estas naciones son incircuncisas, y toda la casa de Israel tiene un corazón incircunciso."
A Egipto, y á Judá, y á Edom, y á los hijos de Ammón y de Moab, y á todos los arrinconados en el postrer rincón, que moran en el desierto; porque todas las gentes tienen prepucio, y toda la casa de Israel tiene prepucio en el corazón.
Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.
Egypt, Judah, Edom, the children of Ammon, Moab, and all who have the corners of their hair cut off, who dwell in the wilderness, for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.”
