Denn emporgestiegen ist der Tod in unsere Fenster, eingedrungen in unsere Paläste, daß er die Kinder von der Straße hinwegtilge, die jungen Männer von den Plätzen.

Oid pues, oh mujeres, palabra de Jehová, y vuestro oído reciba la palabra de su boca; y enseñad endechas á vuestras hijas, y cada una á su amiga, lamentación.

Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation.
