Jeremías 7

Aber sie gehorchten mir nicht, schenkten mir kein Gehör, sondern waren halsstarrig, trieben es ärger als ihre Väter. (a) Jer 16:12

Mas no me oyeron ni inclinaron su oído; antes endurecieron su cerviz, é hicieron peor que sus padres.

Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

Yet they didn’t listen to me or incline their ear, but made their neck stiff. They did worse than their fathers.
