16Also spricht der HERR: Tretet hin an die Wege und schauet und fraget nach den Pfaden der Vorzeit, welches der gute Weg sei, und wandelt darauf, so werdet ihr Ruhe finden für eure Seelen! Sie aber sprechen: «Wir wollen ihn nicht gehen!»

16Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

16The LORD says, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
