7da wurde Bresche in die Stadtmauer gelegt. Der König aber und alle Kriegsleute machten bei Nacht einen Ausfall aus der Stadt und entflohen durch das Tor zwischen den beiden Mauern, das am Garten des Königs lag, während die Chaldäer die Stadt rings einschlossen, und sie nahmen ihren Weg nach der Jordansteppe.
