ASÍ ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo levanto sobre Babilonia, y sobre sus moradores que se levantan contra mí, un viento destruidor.
Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;
The LORD says: “Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against those who dwell in Lebkamai, a destroying wind.
Yo enviaré extranjeros a Babilonia. Ellos la dispersarán y devastarán su tierra, pues ellos vendrán contra ella de todo alrededor en el día del desastre.
Y enviaré á Babilonia aventadores que la avienten, y vaciarán su tierra; porque serán contra ella de todas partes en el día del mal.
And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.
I will send to Babylon strangers, who will winnow her. They will empty her land; for in the day of trouble they will be against her all around.
No dejen que los arqueros tensen sus arcos; no dejen que se pongan la armadura. No dejen libres a sus hombres jóvenes; aparten a su ejército completo para la destrucción.
Diré al flechero que entesa su arco, y al que se pone orgulloso con su loriga: No perdonéis á sus mancebos, destruid todo su ejército.
Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his brigandine: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.
Against him who bends, let the archer bend his bow, also against him who lifts himself up in his coat of mail. Don’t spare her young men! Utterly destroy all her army!
Porque la gente herida caerá en la tierra de los caldeos; aquellos que son matados caerán en sus calles.

Pues Israel y Judá no son abandonados por su Dios, por el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, aunque su tierra está llena de ofensas cometidas contra el Santo de Israel.

For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.

Huyan de en medio de Babilonia; sálvese cada hombre. No perezcan en su iniquidad. Pues es el tiempo de la venganza del SEÑOR. Él le recompensará todo a ella.
Huid de en medio de Babilonia, y librad cada uno su alma, porque no perezcáis á causa de su maldad: porque el tiempo es de venganza de Jehová; darále su pago.
Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

Babilonia era una copa dorada en la mano del SEÑOR que emborrachaba al mundo entero; las naciones bebieron su vino y se enloquecieron.
Vaso de oro fué Babilonia en la mano de Jehová, que embriaga toda la tierra: de su vino bebieron las gentes; aturdiéronse por tanto las naciones.
Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’s hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

Babilonia caerá de repente y será destruida. ¡Giman por ella! Denle medicina para su dolor; tal vez pueda ser sanada.

Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.

The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.

Afilen las flechas y tomen los escudos. El SEÑOR está incitando el espíritu del rey de los medos con un plan para destruir a Babilonia. Esto es para la venganza del SEÑOR, venganza por la destrucción de Su templo.
Limpiad las saetas, embrazad los escudos: despertado ha Jehová el espíritu de los reyes de Media; porque contra Babilonia es su pensamiento para destruirla; porque venganza es de Jehová, venganza de su templo.
Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.

Ustedes, gente que vive al lado de muchos manantiales de agua, ustedes, gente que son ricos con tesoros, su fin ha llegado. El hilo de su vida es acortado ahora.
La que moras entre muchas aguas, rica en tesoros, venido ha tu fin, la medida de tu codicia.
O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.
You who dwell on many waters, abundant in treasures, your end has come, the measure of your covetousness.
El SEÑOR de los ejércitos ha jurado por Su propia vida: 'Yo los llenaré sus enemigos, como una plaga de langostas; ellos levantarán un grito de batalla contra ustedes.'
Jehová de los ejércitos juró por su vida, diciendo: Yo te llenaré de hombres como de langostas, y levantarán contra ti gritería.
The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
The LORD of Armies has sworn by himself, saying, ‘Surely I will fill you with men, as with locusts, and they will lift up a shout against you.’
Él ha hecho la tierra por Su poder; Él estableció el mundo por Su sabiduría. Por Su entendimiento Él extendió los cielos.
El es el que hizo la tierra con su fortaleza, el que afirmó el mundo con su sabiduría, y extendió los cielos con inteligencia;
He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.
“He has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom. By his understanding he has stretched out the heavens.
Cuando Él truena, hay el rugir de aguas en los cielos, pues Él hace subir la neblina desde los confines de la tierra. Él hace relámpago para la lluvia y envía fuera el viento desde Sus almacenes.
El que da con su voz muchedumbre de aguas del cielo, y hace subir las nubes de lo postrero de la tierra; él hace relámpagos con la lluvia, y saca el viento de sus tesoros.
When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

Cada hombre se ha vuelto ignorante, sin conocimiento. Cada trabajador de metal es avergonzado por sus ídolos. Pues sus imágenes fundidas son fraudes, y no hay ninguna vida en ellos.
Todo hombre se ha infatuado y es sin ciencia: avergüénzase todo artífice de la escultura, porque mentira es su vaciadizo, que no tiene espíritu.
Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
“Every man has become stupid and without knowledge. Every goldsmith is disappointed by his image, for his molten images are falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
Ellas son inútiles, la obra de burladores; perecerán en el tiempo de su castigo.
Vanidad son, obra de irrisiones; en el tiempo de su visitación perecerán.
They are vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
They are vanity, a work of delusion. In the time of their visitation, they will perish.
Pero Dios, la porción de Jacob, no es como estos, pues Él es el moldeador de todas las cosas. Israel es la tribu de Su herencia; el SEÑOR de los ejércitos es Su nombre.
No es como ellos la parte de Jacob: porque él es el Formador de todo; é Israel es la vara de su heredad: Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre.
The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name.
The portion of Jacob is not like these, for he formed all things, including the tribe of his inheritance. The LORD of Armies is his name.
Tú eres Mi martillo de guerra, Mi arma para la batalla. Contigo Yo destrozaré naciones y destruiré reinos.
Martillo me sois, y armas de guerra; y por medio de ti quebrantaré gentes, y por medio de ti desharé reinos;
Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
“You are my battle ax and weapons of war. With you I will break the nations into pieces. With you I will destroy kingdoms.
Contigo Yo destrozaré caballos y sus jinetes; contigo Yo destrozaré carros y sus conductores.
Y por tu medio quebrantaré caballos y sus cabalgadores, y por medio de ti quebrantaré carros y los que en ellos suben;
And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;
With you I will break in pieces the horse and his rider.
Contigo Yo destrozaré a cada hombre y mujer; contigo Yo destrozaré viejos y jóvenes. Contigo destrozaré a los hombres jóvenes y a las muchachas vírgenes.
Asimismo por tu medio quebrantaré hombres y mujeres, y por medio de ti quebrantaré viejos y mozos, y por tu medio quebrantaré mancebos y vírgenes:

With you I will break in pieces the chariot and him who rides therein. With you I will break in pieces man and woman. With you I will break in pieces the old man and the youth. With you I will break in pieces the young man and the virgin.
Contigo destrozaré a los pastores y sus rebaños; contigo destrozaré a los labradores y sus yuntas. Contigo destrozaré a gobernantes y oficiales.
También quebrantaré por medio de ti al pastor y á su manada: quebrantaré por tu medio á labradores y sus yuntas; y duques y príncipes quebrantaré por medio de ti.
I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.
With you I will break in pieces the shepherd and his flock. With you I will break in pieces the farmer and his yoke. With you I will break in pieces governors and deputies.
Pues a la vista de ustedes Yo le pagaré a Babilonia y a todos los habitantes de Caldea por todo el mal que hicieron en Sion, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR.
Y pagaré á Babilonia y á todos los moradores de Caldea, todo el mal de ellos que hicieron en Sión delante de vuestros ojos, dice Jehová.
And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.
“I will give to Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight,” says the LORD.
Vean, Yo estoy contra ti, montaña de destrucción, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR, la cual destruye toda la tierra. Yo extenderé Mi mano contra ti, y te rodaré desde los barrancos y te haré una montaña quemada.
He aquí yo contra ti, oh monte destruidor, dice Jehová, que destruiste toda la tierra; y extenderé mi mano sobre ti, y te haré rodar de las peñas, y te tornaré monte quemado.
Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.
“Behold, I am against you, destroying mountain,” says the LORD, “which destroys all the earth. I will stretch out my hand on you, roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burned mountain.
Para que no tomen de ti cualquier piedra para construir la esquina de un edificio o un cimiento; pues tú llegarás a ser una devastación eterna, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR.
Y nadie tomará de ti piedra para esquina, ni piedra para cimiento; porque perpetuos asolamientos serás, ha dicho Jehová.
And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD.
They won’t take a cornerstone from you, nor a stone for foundations; but you will be desolate forever,” says the LORD.
Levanten una bandera sobre la tierra. Toquen la trompeta sobre las naciones. Llamen a las naciones para atacarla; Ararat, Mini y Asquenaz. Señalen a un comandante para atacarla; hagan subir caballos como enjambres de langostas.
Alzad bandera en la tierra, tocad trompeta en las naciones, apercibid gentes contra ella; juntad contra ella los reinos de Ararat, de Minni, y de Aschênaz; señalad contra ella capitán, haced subir caballos como langostas erizadas.
Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers.
“Set up a standard in the land! Blow the trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations against her! Call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz! Appoint a marshal against her! Cause the horses to come up as the swarming locusts!
Preparen a las naciones para atacarla; los reyes de los medos y sus gobernantes, todos sus oficiales y todas las tierras bajo su dominio.
Apercibid contra ella gentes; á reyes de Media, á sus capitanes, y á todos sus príncipes, y á toda la tierra de su señorío.
Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion.
Prepare against her the nations, the kings of the Medes, its governors, and all its deputies, and all the land of their dominion!
Pues la tierra temblará y estará en angustia, ya que los planes del SEÑOR continúan contra Babilonia, para hacer de la tierra de Babilonia un desierto donde no haya ningún habitante.
Y temblará la tierra, y afligiráse; porque confirmado es contra Babilonia todo el pensamiento de Jehová, para poner la tierra de Babilonia en soledad, y que no haya morador.
And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.
The land trembles and is in pain; for the purposes of the LORD against Babylon stand, to make the land of Babylon a desolation, without inhabitant.
Los soldados en Babilonia han dejado de pelear; ellos se quedan en sus fortalezas. Su fuerza ha fallado; han llegado a ser como mujeres, sus hogares están encendidos, los barrotes de sus puertas están rotos.
Los valientes de Babilonia dejaron de pelear, estuviéronse en sus fuertes: faltóles su fortaleza, tornáronse como mujeres: encendiéronse sus casas, quebráronse sus cerrojos.
The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwellingplaces; her bars are broken.
The mighty men of Babylon have stopped fighting, they remain in their strongholds. Their might has failed. They have become as women. Her dwelling places are set on fire. Her bars are broken.
Un mensajero corre a proclamarle a otro mensajero, y un corredor le dice a otro corredor que informe al rey de Babilonia que su ciudad ha sido tomada de extremo a extremo.
Correo se encontrará con correo, mensajero se encontrará con mensajero, para noticiar al rey de Babilonia que su ciudad es tomada por todas partes:
One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,
One runner will run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to show the king of Babylon that his city is taken on every quarter.
Así que los vados del río son tomados; el enemigo está quemando los pantanos de cañas, y los guerreros de Babilonia están confundidos.
Y los vados fueron tomados, y los carrizos fueron quemados á fuego, y consternáronse los hombres de guerra.
And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.
So the passages are seized. They have burned the reeds with fire. The men of war are frightened.”
Porque el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, dice esto: La hija de Babilonia es como un piso de trillar. Es el tiempo para pisotearla abajo. En un corto rato, el tiempo de la cosecha llegará a ella.
Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: La hija de Babilonia es como parva; tiempo es ya de trillarla: de aquí á poco le vendrá el tiempo de la siega.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.
For the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time when it is trodden. Yet a little while, and the time of harvest comes for her.”
Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, me ha devorado; me ha llevado a la confusión y me ha hecho como una olla vacía; como monstruo me ha tragado; llenó su estómago con mis comidas deliciosas; me ha enjuagado.
Comióme, desmenuzóme Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia; paróme como vaso vacío, tragóme como dragón, hinchió su vientre de mis delicadezas, y echóme.
Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out.
“Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me. He has crushed me. He has made me an empty vessel. He has, like a monster, swallowed me up. He has filled his mouth with my delicacies. He has cast me out.
El que vive en Sion dirá: 'Que la violencia hecha sobre mí y mi carne sea sobre Babilonia.' Jerusalén dirá: 'Que mi sangre sea sobre los habitantes de Caldea.'
Sobre Babilonia la violencia contra mí y mi carne, dirá la moradora de Sión; y mi sangre sobre los moradores de Caldea, dirá Jerusalem.
The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
May the violence done to me and to my flesh be on Babylon!” the inhabitant of Zion will say; and, “May my blood be on the inhabitants of Chaldea!” will Jerusalem say.
Por lo tanto, el SEÑOR dice esto: Vean, Yo estoy a punto de defender tu caso y traer la venganza para ti. Pues Yo secaré las aguas de Babilonia y haré que sus manantiales se sequen.
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo juzgo tu causa y haré tu venganza; y secaré su mar, y haré que quede seca su corriente.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.
Therefore the LORD says: “Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you. I will dry up her sea, and make her fountain dry.
Babilonia se convertirá en montones de escombros, una guarida de chacales, un horror, un objeto de burla, donde no hay habitantes.
Y será Babilonia para montones, morada de chacales, espanto y silbo, sin morador.
And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwellingplace for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.
Babylon will become heaps, a dwelling place for jackals, an astonishment, and a hissing, without inhabitant.
Los babilonios rugirán juntos como leones jóvenes. Gruñirán como cachorros de león.
A una rugirán como leones; como cachorros de leones bramarán.
They shall roar together like lions: they shall yell as lions’ whelps.
They will roar together like young lions. They will growl as lions’ cubs.
Cuando se calienten de avaricia, Yo les haré una fiesta; Yo los embriagaré para que se alegren, y luego dormirán un sueño interminable y no despertarán, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR,
En su calor les pondré sus banquetes; y haréles que se embriaguen, para que se alegren, y duerman eterno sueño, y no despierten, dice Jehová.
In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the LORD.
When they are inflamed, I will make their feast, and I will make them drunk, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake up,” says the LORD.
Yo los enviaré para abajo como corderos para el matadero, como carneros con machos cabríos.

I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he goats.
“I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with male goats.
¡Cómo se ha capturado a Babilonia! ¡De manera que la alabanza de toda la tierra es detenida! Cómo Babilonia se ha convertido en lugar arruinado entre las naciones.
¡Cómo fué presa Sesach, y fué tomada la que era alabada por toda la tierra! ¡Cómo fué Babilonia por espanto entre las gentes!
How is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!
“How Sheshach is taken! How the praise of the whole earth is seized! How Babylon has become a desolation among the nations!
¡El mar se ha subido sobre Babilonia! Ella está cubierta con sus olas rugientes.
Subió la mar sobre Babilonia; de la multitud de sus ondas fué cubierta.
The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
The sea has come up on Babylon. She is covered with the multitude of its waves.
Sus ciudades han llegado a ser una desolación, una tierra seca y un desierto, una tierra que nadie habita, y por donde ningún ser humano pasa.
Sus ciudades fueron asoladas, la tierra seca y desierta, tierra que no morará en ella nadie, ni pasará por ella hijo de hombre.
Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby.

Así que castigaré a Bel en Babilonia; Yo extraeré de su boca lo que él tragó, y las naciones ya no fluirán hacia él con sus ofrendas. Las murallas de Babilonia caerán.
Y visitaré á Bel en Babilonia, y sacaré de su boca lo que ha tragado: y no vendrán más á él gentes; y el muro de Babilonia caerá.
And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
I will execute judgment on Bel in Babylon, and I will bring out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up. The nations will not flow any more to him. Yes, the wall of Babylon will fall.

My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.
“My people, go away from the middle of her, and each of you save yourselves from the LORD’s fierce anger.
No dejen que sus corazones sean tímidos ni teman las noticias que se oyen en la tierra, pues las noticias llegarán un año. Después de ella, en el año siguiente habrá noticias, y la violencia estará en la tierra. Gobernante estará contra gobernante.
Y porque no desmaye vuestro corazón, y temáis á causa de la fama que se oirá por la tierra, en un año vendrá la fama, y después en otro año el rumor, y la violencia en la tierra, y el enseñoreador sobre el que enseñorea.
And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
Don’t let your heart faint. Don’t fear for the news that will be heard in the land. For news will come one year, and after that in another year news will come, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.
Por lo tanto, vean, los días vienen cuando Yo castigare los ídolos tallados de Babilonia. Toda su tierra será avergonzada, y todos sus muertos caerán en medio de ella.

Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

Entonces los cielos y la tierra, y todo lo que hay en ellos se regocijarán sobre Babilonia. Porque destructores vendrán por ella desde el norte, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR.
Y los cielos y la tierra, y todo lo que está en ellos, darán alabanzas sobre Babilonia: porque del aquilón vendrán sobre ella destruidores, dice Jehová.
Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the LORD.

Así como Babilonia ha hecho caer a los muertos de Israel, así también los muertos de toda su tierra caerán en Babilonia.

As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.
“As Babylon has caused the slain of Israel to fall, so the slain of all the land will fall at Babylon.
¡Sobrevivientes de la espada, váyanse! No se queden quietos. Recuerden al SEÑOR desde lejos; recuerden a Jerusalén.
Los que escapasteis del cuchillo, andad, no os detengáis; acordaos por muchos días de Jehová, y acordaos de Jerusalem.
Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.
You who have escaped the sword, go! Don’t stand still! Remember the LORD from afar, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.”
Estamos avergonzados, pues nosotros hemos oído insultos; el oprobio ha cubierto nuestros rostros; pues los extranjeros han entrado a los lugares santos de la casa del SEÑOR.
Estamos avergonzados, porque oímos la afrenta: confusión cubrió nuestros rostros, porque vinieron extranjeros contra los santuarios de la casa de Jehová.
We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD’s house.
“We are confounded because we have heard reproach. Confusion has covered our faces, for strangers have come into the sanctuaries of the LORD’s house.”
Por lo tanto, vean, los días vienen, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR, cuando Yo castigaré sus ídolos tallados, y las personas heridas gemirán en toda su tierra.
Por tanto, he aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, que yo visitaré sus esculturas, y en toda su tierra gemirán los heridos.
Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.

Pues aunque Babilonia subiera a los cielos y fortificara sus fortalezas más altas, los destructores vendrían de Mí a ella, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR.
Si subiese Babilonia al cielo, y si fortaleciere en lo alto su fuerza, de mí vendrán á ella destruidores, dice Jehová.
Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD.

Un grito de angustia vino de Babilonia, un gran colapso desde la tierra de los caldeos.

A sound of a cry cometh from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:
“The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, and of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!
Pues el SEÑOR está destruyendo a Babilonia. Él está causando que su voz fuerte perezca. Sus enemigos rugen como las olas de muchas aguas; su ruido se hace muy fuerte.
Porque Jehová destruye á Babilonia, y quitará de ella el mucho estruendo; y bramarán sus ondas, como muchas aguas será el sonido de la voz de ellos:
Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:
For the LORD lays Babylon waste, and destroys out of her the great voice! Their waves roar like many waters. The noise of their voice is uttered.
¡Porque los destructores han venido contra ella, contra Babilonia! Y sus guerreros han sido capturados. Sus arcos están rotos, pues el SEÑOR es el Dios de la venganza; Él ciertamente llevará a cabo Su retribución.
Porque vino destruidor contra ella, contra Babilonia, y sus valientes fueron presos, el arco de ellos fué quebrado: porque Jehová, Dios de retribuciones, dará la paga.
Because the spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: for the LORD God of recompences shall surely requite.
For the destroyer has come on her, even on Babylon. Her mighty men are taken. Their bows are broken in pieces, for the LORD is a God of retribution. He will surely repay.
Pues Yo emborracharé a sus príncipes, sus sabios, sus oficiales, y sus soldados, y ellos dormirán un sueño interminable y nunca despertarán, esta es la declaración del Rey: el SEÑOR de los ejércitos es Su nombre.
Y embriagaré sus príncipes y sus sabios, sus capitanes y sus nobles y sus fuertes; y dormirán sueño eterno y no despertarán, dice el Rey, cuyo nombre es Jehová de los ejércitos.
And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
I will make her princes, her wise men, her governors, her deputies, and her mighty men drunk. They will sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake up,” says the King, whose name is the LORD of Armies.
El SEÑOR de los ejércitos dice esto: Las murallas gruesas de Babilonia serán completamente derribadas, y sus puertas altas serán quemadas. Entonces las gentes que vienen a ayudarle trabajarán inútilmente; todo lo que las naciones traten de hacer para ella será quemado."
Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: El muro ancho de Babilonia será derribado enteramente, y sus altas puertas serán quemadas á fuego; y en vano trabajarán pueblos y gentes en el fuego, y se cansarán.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.
The LORD of Armies says: “The wide walls of Babylon will be utterly overthrown. Her high gates will be burned with fire. The peoples will labor for vanity, and the nations for the fire; and they will be weary.”
Esta es la palabra que Jeremías el profeta ordenó a Seraías, hijo de Nerías, hijo de Maasías, cuando él fue con Sedequías, rey de Judá, a Babilonia en el cuarto año de su reinado. Ahora, Seraías era un oficial principal.
Palabra que envió Jeremías profeta á Seraías hijo de Nerías, hijo de Maasías, cuando iba con Sedechîas rey de Judá á Babilonia, el cuarto año de su reinado. Y era Seraías el principal camarero.
The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince.

Entonces dirás: 'El SEÑOR, Tú mismo has declarado que Tú destruirías este lugar, y que ningún hombre ni animal vivirá en él, y que será desolado para siempre.'
Dirás: Oh Jehová, tú has dicho contra este lugar que lo habías de talar, hasta no quedar en él morador, ni hombre ni animal, sino que para siempre ha de ser asolado.
Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.
and say, ‘LORD, you have spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that no one will dwell in it, neither man nor animal, but that it will be desolate forever.’
Entonces cuando hayas terminado de leer este rollo, amárrale una piedra y lánzalo al medio del Eufrates.
Y será que cuando acabares de leer este libro, le atarás una piedra, y lo echarás en medio del Eufrates:
And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:

Di: 'Babilonia se hundirá así. No se levantará debido al desastre que Yo estoy enviando contra ella, y caerán.'" Las palabras de Jeremías terminan aquí.
Y dirás: Así será anegada Babilonia, y no se levantará del mal que yo traigo sobre ella; y serán rendidos. Hasta aquí son las palabras de Jeremías.
