Jeremías 44

Ma da quel tempo, in cui tralasciammo di far sagrifizj, e libagioni alla regina del cielo, siam poveri di ogni bene, e siamo consunti dalla spada, ed alla fame.

Mas desde que cesamos de ofrecer sahumerios á la reina del cielo, y de derramarle libaciones, nos falta todo, y á cuchillo y á hambre somos consumidos.

But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of the sky, and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.”
