Jeremías 40

Parola detta dal Signore a Geremia, dopo che egli fu posto in libertà da Nabuzardan comandante della cavalleria in Rama, allorché menollo incatenato in mezzo a tutti quegli, che se n'andavano da Gerusalemme, e da Giuda, ed eran condotti in Babilonia,

PALABRA que fué á Jeremías de Jehová, después que Nabuzaradán capitán de la guardia le envió desde Ramá, cuando le tomó estando atado con esposas entre toda la transmigración de Jerusalem y de Judá que iban cautivos á Babilonia.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.

Il capitano adunque preso a parte Geremia, gli disse: Il Signore Dio tuo avea predette sciagure sopra questo luogo;

Tomó pues el capitán de la guardia á Jeremías, y díjole: Jehová tu Dios habló este mal contra este lugar;

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.

The captain of the guard took Jeremiah and said to him, “The LORD your God pronounced this evil on this place;

E il Signore ha eseguito, ed ha fatto conforme avea predetto, perchè voi peccaste contro il Signore, e non ascoltaste la sua voce, ed è avvenuto a voi questo.

Y halo traído y hecho Jehová según que había dicho: porque pecasteis contra Jehová, y no oísteis su voz, por eso os ha venido esto.

Now the LORD hath brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

and the LORD has brought it, and done according as he spoke. Because you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing has come on you.

Or adunque io ti ho sciolto in questo giorno dalle catene, che tu avevi alle mani: se ti piace di venir meco a Babilonia, vieni pure, ed io avrò cura di te: se poi non ti piace di venir meco a Babilonia, fermati qui: ecco tutto il paese davanti a te; va dovunque eleggerai, e ti piacerà di andare.

Y ahora yo te he soltado hoy de las esposas que tenías en tus manos. Si te está bien venir conmigo á Babilonia, ven, y yo miraré por ti; mas si no te está bien venir conmigo á Babilonia, déjalo: mira, toda la tierra está delante de ti; ve á donde mejor y más cómodo te pareciere ir.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.

Now, behold, I release you today from the chains which are on your hand. If it seems good to you to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will take care of you; but if it seems bad to you to come with me into Babylon, don’t. Behold, all the land is before you. Where it seems good and right to you to go, go there.”

E non venire con me: ma va a stare con Godolia figliuolo di Ahicam, figliuolo di Saphan, a cui il re di Babilonia ha dato il governo delle città di Giuda: sta adunque con lui in mezzo al tuo popolo; oppure vattene in qualunque luogo ti piacerà. Diede eziandio il capitano a lui de' viveri, e de' piccoli doni, e lo licenziò.

Y aun no se había él vuelto, cuando le dijo: Vuélvete á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Saphán, al cual el rey de Babilonia ha puesto sobre todas las ciudades de Judá, y vive con él en medio del pueblo: ó ve á donde te pareciere más cómodo de ir. Y dióle el capitán de la guardia presentes y dones, y despidióle.

Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.

Now while he had not yet gone back, “Go back then,” he said, “to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go.” So the captain of the guard gave him food and a present, and let him go.

Or Geremia andossene da Godolia figliuolo di Ahicam in Masphath, e abitò in casa di lui in mezzo al popolo, che era rimaso nel paese.

Fuése entonces Jeremías á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, á Mizpa, y moró con él en medio del pueblo que había quedado en la tierra.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Then Jeremiah went to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and lived with him among the people who were left in the land.

E avendo udito i principi dell'esercito (che eran dispersi in vane parti egli no, e i lor compagni) come il re di Babilonia avea dato il governo del paese a Godolia figliuolo di Ahicam, e a lui avea raccomandati gli uomini, e le donne, e i fanciulli, e i poveri del paese, che non erano stati trasportati a Babilonia:

Y como oyeron todos los príncipes del ejército que estaba por el campo, ellos y sus hombres, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam sobre la tierra, y que le había encomendado los hombres, y las mujeres, y los niños, y los pobres de la tierra, que no fueron trasportados á Babilonia;

Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

Andarono a trovar Godolia in Masphath, cioè, Ismael figliuolo di Nathania, e Johanan, e Jonathan figliuolo di Caree, e Sareas figliuolo di Thanehumeth, e i figliuoli di Ophi, che erano di Netophath, e Jesonia figliuolo di Maachati, eglino, e i loro compagni.

Vinieron luego á Gedalías en Mizpa, es á saber, Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y Johanán y Jonathán hijos de Carea, y Seraías hijo de Tanhumeth, y los hijos de Ephi Netophatita, y Jezanías hijo de Maachâti, ellos y sus hombres.

Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men came to Gedaliah to Mizpah.

E Godolia figliuolo di Ahicam figliuolo di Saphan fece promessa ad essi, e a' loro compagni con giuramento, dicendo: Non temete di ubbidire a' Caldei, dimorate nel paese, e servite al re di Babilonia, e viverete felici.

Y juróles Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Saphán, á ellos y á sus hombres, diciendo: No tengáis temor de servir á los Caldeos: habitad en la tierra, y servid al rey de Babilonia, y tendréis bien.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore to them and to their men, saying, “Don’t be afraid to serve the Chaldeans. Dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it will be well with you.

Ecco, che io abito in Masphath per eseguire gli ordini, che vengono a noi da' Caldei: e voi vendemmiate, e tagliate le messi, e fate l'olio, e riponetelo ne' vostri vasi, e state nelle vostre città, che avete occupate.

Y he aquí que yo habito en Mizpa, para estar delante de los Caldeos que vendrán á nosotros; mas vosotros, coged el vino, y el pan, y el aceite, y ponedlo en vuestros almacenes, y quedaos en vuestras ciudades que habéis tomado.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who will come to us; but you, gather wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.”

E tutti eziandio i Giudei, che erano in Moab e tra' figliuoli di Ammon, e nell'Idumea, e in qualunque altro paese, avendo udito come il re di Babilonia avea lasciato gli avanzi del popolo nella Giudea, e di questi avea dato il governo a Godolia figliuolo di Ahicam, figliuolo di Saphan,

Asimismo todos los Judíos que estaban en Moab, y entre los hijos de Ammón, y en Edom, y los que estaban en todas las tierras, cuando oyeron decir como el rey de Babilonia había dejado algunos en la Judea, y que había puesto sobre ellos á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Saphán,

Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;

Tutti, dico, que' Giudei se ne tornarono da' luoghi, dove si erano rifugiati, e andaron nella terra di Giuda a trovar Godolia in Masphath, e fecer la vendemmia, e una raccolta grande oltre misura.

Todos estos Judíos tornaron entonces de todas las partes adonde habían sido echados, y vinieron á tierra de Judá, á Gedalías en Mizpa; y cogieron vino y muy muchos frutos.

Even all the Jews returned out of all places whither they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.

E Johanan figliuolo di Caree, e tutti i capi dell'esercito, che eran dispersi chi qua, e chi là, andaron da Godolia in Masphath,

Y Johanán, hijo de Carea, y todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que estaban en el campo, vinieron á Gedalías en Mizpa,

Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,

E gli dissero: Sappi, che Baalis re de' figliuoli di Ammon ha mandato Ismaele figliuolo di Nathania ad ucciderti. Ma Godolia figliuolo di Ahicam non diede loro credenza.

Y dijéronle: ¿No sabes de cierto como Baalis, rey de los hijos de Ammón, ha enviado á Ismael hijo de Nethanías, para matarte? Mas Gedalías hijo de Ahicam no los creyó.

And said unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.

and said to him, “Do you know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam didn’t believe them.

Ma Johanan figliuolo di Caree disse segretamente a Godolia in Masphath: Io anderò, e ucciderò Ismaele figliuolo di Nathania, senza che alcuno lo sappia, affinchè egli non ti uccida, e non siano dispersi i Giudei raunati teco, e periscano gli avanzi d'Israele,

Entonces Johanán hijo de Carea habló á Gedalías en secreto, en Mizpa, diciendo: Yo iré ahora, y heriré á Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y hombre no lo sabrá: ¿por qué te ha de matar, y todos los Judíos que se han recogido á ti se derramarán, y perecerá el resto de Judá?

Then Johanan the son of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it: wherefore should he slay thee, that all the Jews which are gathered unto thee should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish?

Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, “Please let me go, and I will kill Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man will know it. Why should he take your life, that all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish?”

Ma Godolia figliuolo di Ahicam disse a Johanan figliuolo di Caree: Non far questo: imperocché quello, che tu dici d'Ismaele, è falso. Ismaele uccide a tradimento Godolia, e i Caldei, e gli Ebrei, che erano con lui in Maspha. Johanan va dietro a Ismaele, il quale, lasciata la gente, che conducea seco prigioniera, fugge con otto persone. Il resto del popolo stabilisce di fuggire nell'Egitto.

Pero Gedalías hijo de Ahicam dijo á Johanán hijo de Carea: No hagas esto, porque falso es lo que tú dices de Ismael.

But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.

But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah, “You shall not do this thing, for you speak falsely of Ishmael.”
