29Auch gegen Jojakim, den Judakönig, sollst du sprechen: So spricht der Herr: 'Du hast die Rolle verbrannt mit diesen Worten: "Was schriebst du da hinein: Ganz sicher kommt der Babelkönig, verheert das Land und tilgt daraus so Mensch wie Vieh?"'

29And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

29Concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you shall say, ‘The LORD says: “You have burned this scroll, saying, ‘Why have you written therein, saying, “The king of Babylon will certainly come and destroy this land, and will cause to cease from there man and animal”?’”
