Per questo così dice il Signor degli eserciti, il Dio di Israele: Non mancherà della stirpe di Jonadab figliuolo di Rechab chi stia dinanzi a me per tutti i tempi. Geremia fa leggere per mezzo di Baruch a tutto il popolo il libro contenente le minacce del Signore, affinchè si ravveggano. Joachim brucia il libro, e ordina, che Geremia, e Baruch siano presi; ma Dio non permette, ch'ei siano trovati. Geremia detta un altro libro a Baruch; e predice la rovina di Joachim, e di Gerusalemme.
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: No faltará varón de Jonadab, hijo de Rechâb, que esté en mi presencia todos los días.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.
therefore the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Jonadab the son of Rechab will not lack a man to stand before me forever.’”
