14›Die Weisung, die Jonadab, der Sohn Rechabs, seinen Nachkommen gegeben hat, keinen Wein zu trinken, die ist befolgt worden: sie haben keinen Wein bis auf den heutigen Tag getrunken, weil sie dem Gebot ihres Stammvaters gehorsam gewesen sind. Ich aber habe früh und spät immer wieder zu euch geredet, doch ihr habt nicht auf mich gehört.

14Fué firme la palabra de Jonadab hijo de Rechâb, el cual mandó á sus hijos que no bebiesen vino, y no lo han bebido hasta hoy, por obedecer al mandamiento de su padre; y yo os he hablado á vosotros, madrugando y hablando, y no me habéis oído.

14The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father’s commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.
