Senza frutto io gastigai i vostri figliuoli, non dieder luogo alla correzione. La vostra spada divorò i vostri profeti: fu, come lion che devasta, la vostra stirpe.

Por demás he azotado vuestros hijos; no han recibido corrección. Cuchillo devoró vuestros profetas como león destrozador.

In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.
