Jeremías 2

Imperocché due mali ha fatti il popol mio: hanno abbandonato me fontana di acqua viva, e sono andati a scavarsi delle cisterne, delle cisterne, che gemono, e contener non possono le acque.

Porque dos males ha hecho mi pueblo: dejáronme á mí, fuente de agua viva, por cavar para sí cisternas, cisternas rotas que no detienen aguas.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
