Jeremías 2

Perciocchè il mio popolo ha fatti due mali: hanno abbandonato me, fonte d’acqua viva, per cavarsi delle cisterne, cisterne rotte, che non ritengono l’acqua

Porque dos males ha hecho mi pueblo: dejáronme á mí, fuente de agua viva, por cavar para sí cisternas, cisternas rotas que no detienen aguas.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

“For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters, and cut out cisterns for themselves: broken cisterns that can’t hold water.
