Jeremías 2

“Pois o meu povo cometeu dois males: eles me abandonaram, a fonte de águas vivas, e cavaram cisternas para si mesmos: cisternas rachadas que não retêm água.

Porque dos males ha hecho mi pueblo: dejáronme á mí, fuente de agua viva, por cavar para sí cisternas, cisternas rotas que no detienen aguas.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
