Jeremías 29

Estas son las palabras en el pergamino que Jeremías el profeta envió a Jerusalén a los ancianos que quedan entre los cautivos y los sacerdotes, profetas, y toda la gente que Nabucodonosor había exhiliado de Jerusalén a Babilonia.

Y ESTAS son las palabras de la carta que Jeremías profeta envió de Jerusalem á los ancianos que habían quedado de los trasportados, y á los sacerdotes y profetas, y á todo el pueblo que Nabucodonosor llevó cautivo de Jerusalem á Babilonia:

Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the residue of the elders of the captivity, and to the priests, to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon,

Esto fue después que Jeconías el rey, la madre reina, y los altos oficiales, los líderes de Judá y Jerusalén, y los artesanos habían sido enviados fuera de Jerusalén.

(Después que salió el rey Jechônías y la reina, y los de palacio, y los príncipes de Judá y de Jerusalem, y los artífices, y los ingenieros de Jerusalem;)

(After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)

(after Jeconiah the king, the queen mother, the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the smiths had departed from Jerusalem),

Él envió este pergamino por mano de Elasa hijo de Safán y Gemarías hijo de Hilcías, a quien Sedequías, rey de Judá, había enviado a Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia.

Por mano de Elasa hijo de Saphán, y de Jemarías hijo de Hilcías, (los cuales envió Sedechîas rey de Judá á Babilonia, á Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia,) diciendo:

By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,

by the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon). It said:

El pergamino decía: "El SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, dice esto a todos los cautivos a quienes Yo hice exiliar de Jerusalén a Babilonia,

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, á todos los de la cautividad que hice trasportar de Jerusalem á Babilonia:

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;

The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says to all the captives whom I have caused to be carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon:

'Contruyan casas y vivan en ellas. Planten jardines y coman su fruto.

Edificad casas, y morad; y plantad huertos, y comed del fruto de ellos;

Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;

“Build houses and dwell in them. Plant gardens and eat their fruit.

Tomen esposas y den a luz hijos e hijas. Luego tomen esposas para sus hijos y den sus hijas a esposos. Que ellas den a luz hijos e hijas y crezcan allí para que no lleguen a ser muy pocos.

Casaos, y engendrad hijos é hijas; dad mujeres á vuestros hijos, y dad maridos á vuestras hijas, para que paran hijos é hijas; y multiplicaos ahí, y no os hagáis pocos.

Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

Take wives and father sons and daughters. Take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters. Multiply there, and don’t be diminished.

Procuren la paz de la ciudad a donde Yo los hice exiliar, e intercedan conmigo a nombre de ellos ya que habrá paz para ustedes si allí hay paz.'

Y procurad la paz de la ciudad á la cual os hice traspasar, y rogad por ella á Jehová; porque en su paz tendréis vosotros paz.

And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”

Porque el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, dice esto: 'No dejen que sus profetas quienes están entre ustedes y sus adivinos los engañen, y no escuchen a los sueños que ustedes mismos están teniendo.

Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: No os engañen vuestros profetas que están entre vosotros, ni vuestros adivinos; ni miréis á vuestros sueños que soñáis.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

For the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Don’t let your prophets who are among you and your diviners deceive you. Don’t listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.

Porque ellos les están profetizando engañosamente a ustedes en mi nombre. Yo no los envié. Esta es la declaración del SEÑOR.'

Porque falsamente os profetizan ellos en mi nombre: no los envié, ha dicho Jehová.

For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

For they prophesy falsely to you in my name. I have not sent them,” says the LORD.

Pues el SEÑOR dice esto: 'Cuando Babilonia los haya gobernado por setenta años, Yo los ayudaré y llevaré a cabo Mi buena palabra a ustedes para traerles de vuelta a este lugar.

Porque así dijo Jehová: Cuando en Babilonia se cumplieren los setenta años, yo os visitaré, y despertaré sobre vosotros mi buena palabra, para tornaros á este lugar.

For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

For the LORD says, “After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

Pues Yo mismo conozco los planes que Yo tengo para ustedes, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR, planes para paz y no para desastre, para darte un futuro y esperanza.

Porque yo sé los pensamientos que tengo acerca de vosotros, dice Jehová, pensamientos de paz, y no de mal, para daros el fin que esperáis.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the LORD, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

Entonces me llamarán a Mí, e irán y orarán a Mí, y Yo les escucharé a ustedes.

Entonces me invocaréis, é iréis y oraréis á mí, y yo os oiré:

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Puesto que me buscarán y me encontrarán, ya que me buscarán con todo su corazón.

Y me buscaréis y hallaréis, porque me buscaréis de todo vuestro corazón.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

You shall seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.

Entonces Yo seré hallado por ustedes, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR, y Yo traeré de vuelta sus fortunas; Yo los recogeré a ustedes de todas las naciones y lugares donde Yo los esparcí, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR, puesto que Yo los traeré de vuelta al lugar de donde Yo los hice exiliar.'

Y seré hallado de vosotros, dice Jehová, y tornaré vuestra cautividad, y os juntaré de todas las gentes, y de todos los lugares adonde os arrojé, dice Jehová; y os haré volver al lugar de donde os hice ser llevados.

And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

I will be found by you,” says the LORD, “and I will turn again your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you,” says the LORD. “I will bring you again to the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.”

Como ustedes dijeron que el SEÑOR ha levantado profetas para nosotros en Babilonia.

Mas habéis dicho: Jehová nos ha suscitado profetas en Babilonia.

Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;

Because you have said, “The LORD has raised us up prophets in Babylon,”

El SEÑOR dice esto al rey quien se sienta en el trono de David y a todo el pueblo que se está quedando en esa ciudad, sus hermanos quienes no han salido con ustedes a la cautividad.

Así empero ha dicho Jehová, del rey que está sentado sobre el trono de David, y de todo el pueblo que mora en esta ciudad, de vuestros hermanos que no salieron con vosotros en cautiverio;

Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;

the LORD says concerning the king who sits on David’s throne, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your brothers who haven’t gone with you into captivity,

El SEÑOR de ejércitos dice esto: 'Vean, Yo estoy a punto de enviar espada, hambre y enfermedades sobre ellos. Pues Yo los haré como higos dañados que están muy malos para ser comidos.

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí envío yo contra ellos cuchillo, hambre, y pestilencia, y pondrélos como los malos higos, que de malos no se pueden comer.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

the LORD of Armies says: “Behold, I will send on them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like rotten figs that can’t be eaten, they are so bad.

Entonces Yo los perseguiré a ellos con espada, hambre y plaga y les haré horrible a la vista de todos los reinos de la tierra, un horror, un objeto de maldiciones y silbidos, y una cosa vergonzosa entre todas las naciones donde Yo los esparcí.

Y perseguirélos con espada, con hambre y con pestilencia; y darélos por escarnio á todos los reinos de la tierra, por maldición y por espanto, y por silbo y por afrenta á todas la gentes á las cuales los habré arrojado;

And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:

I will pursue after them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, to be an object of horror, an astonishment, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations where I have driven them,

Esto es porque ellos no escucharon mi palabra, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR, que Yo envié a ellos a través de mis servidores los profetas. Yo los envié repetidamente, pero ustedes no escuchaban. Esta es la declaraión del SEÑOR.'

Porque no oyeron mis palabras, dice Jehová, que les envié por mis siervos los profetas, madrugando en enviarlos; y no habéis escuchado, dice Jehová.

Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

because they have not listened to my words,” says the LORD, “with which I sent to them my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but you would not hear,” says the LORD.

Así que ustedes mismos escuchen la palabra del SEÑOR, todos ustedes exhiliados a quien Él ha enviado de Jerusalén a Babilonia,

Oid pues palabra de Jehová, vosotros todos los trasportados que eché de Jerusalem á Babilonia.

Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:

Hear therefore the LORD’s word, all you captives whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon.

'El SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, dice esto sobre Acab hijo de Colaías y Sedequías hijo de Maasías, quienes profetizan falsamente a ustedes en Mi nombre: Vean, Yo estoy a punto de ponerlos en las manos de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia. Él los matará frente a sus ojos.

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, acerca de Achâb hijo de Colías, y acerca de Sedechîas hijo de Maasías, quienes os profetizan en mi nombre falsamente: He aquí los entrego yo en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y él los herirá delante de vuestro ojos;

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who prophesy a lie to you in my name: “Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he will kill them before your eyes.

Entonces una maldición será hablada sobre estas personas por todos los cautivos de Judá en Babilonia. La maldición dirá: Que el SEÑOR te haga como a Sedequías y Acab, a quien el rey de Babilonia asó en el fuego.

Y todos los trasportados de Judá que están en Babilonia, tomarán de ellos maldición, diciendo: Póngate Jehová como á Sedechîas y como á Achâb, los cuales asó al fuego el rey de Babilonia.

And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

A curse will be taken up about them by all the captives of Judah who are in Babylon, saying, ‘The LORD make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;’

Esto sucederá por las cosas vergonzosas que ellos hicieron en Israel cuando ellos cometieron adulterio con las esposas de sus vecinos y declararon palabras falsas en mi nombre, cosas que Yo nunca le mandé a decir. Porque Yo soy el que sé; Yo soy el testigo. Esta es la declaración del SEÑOR'"

Porque hicieron maldad en Israel, y cometieron adulterio con las mujeres de sus prójimos, y falsamente hablaron en mi nombre palabra que no les mandé; lo cual yo sé, y soy testigo, dice Jehová.

Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours’ wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.

because they have done foolish things in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and have spoken words in my name falsely, which I didn’t command them. I am he who knows, and am witness,” says the LORD.

"Sobre Semaías el nehelamita dice esto:

Y á Semaías de Nehelam hablarás, diciendo:

Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,

Concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite you shall speak, saying,

'El Señor de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, dice esto: Porque tú has enviado cartas en tu propio nombre a todo el pueblo en Jerusalén, a Sofonías hijo de Maasías el sacerdote, y a todos los sacerdotes y dijiste:

Así habló Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, diciendo: Por cuanto enviaste letras en tu nombre á todo el pueblo que está en Jerusalem, y á Sophonías sacerdote hijo de Maasías, y á todos los sacerdotes, diciendo:

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

“The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says, ‘Because you have sent letters in your own name to all the people who are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

"El SEÑOR te ha hecho sacerdote en vez de Joiada el sacerdote, para tú estar a cargo de la casa del SEÑOR. Tú estás en control de toda la gente que se levanta y se hace a sí mismos profetas. Tú debes ponerlos en cepos y cadenas.

Jehová te ha puesto por sacerdote en lugar de Joiada sacerdote, para que presidáis en la casa de Jehová sobre todo hombre furioso y profetizante, poniéndolo en el calabozo y en el cepo.

The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

“The LORD has made you priest in the place of Jehoiada the priest, that there may be officers in the LORD’s house, for every man who is crazy and makes himself a prophet, that you should put him in the stocks and in shackles.

Y ahora, ¿por qué no has reprendido a Jeremías de Anatot, quien se hace a sí mismo un profeta contra tí?

¿Por qué pues no has ahora reprendido á Jeremías de Anathoth, que os profetiza falsamente?

Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?

Now therefore, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who makes himself a prophet to you,

Porque él ha enviado a nosotros en Babilonia y dijo: 'Esto será por largo tiempo. Construyan casas y vivan en ellas, y planten jardines y coman su fruto."'"

Porque por eso nos envió á decir en Babilonia: Largo va el cautiverio: edificad casas, y morad; plantad huertos, y comed el fruto de ellos.

For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

because he has sent to us in Babylon, saying, The captivity is long. Build houses, and dwell in them. Plant gardens, and eat their fruit?”’”

Sofonías el sacerdote leyó esta carta a los oídos de Jeremías el profeta.

Y Sophonías sacerdote había leído esta carta á oídos de Jeremías profeta.

And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the hearing of Jeremiah the prophet.

Entonces la palabra del SEÑOR vino a Jeremías, diciendo:

Y fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías, diciendo:

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

Then the LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,

"Envía palabra a todos los exiliados y di: 'El SEÑOR dice esto sobre Semaías de Nehelam: Porque Semaías ha profetizado a ustedes cuando Yo mismo no lo envié a él, y les ha conducido a creer mentiras,

Envía á decir á toda la transmigración: Así ha dicho Jehová de Semaías de Nehelam: Porque os profetizó Semaías, y yo no lo envié, y os hizo confiar en mentira:

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

“Send to all of the captives, saying, ‘The LORD says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: “Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I didn’t send him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie,”

por lo tanto el SEÑOR dice esto: Miren, Yo estoy a punto de castigar a Semaías de Nehelam y sus descendientes. No habrá un hombre para él que quede entre este pueblo. Él no verá el bien que Yo haré a mi pueblo, esta es la declaración del SEÑOR, porque él ha proclamado rebelión en contra del SEÑOR.'"

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo visito sobre Semaías de Nehelam, y sobre su generación: no tendrá varón que more entre este pueblo, ni verá aquel bien que haré yo á mi pueblo, dice Jehová: porque contra Jehová ha hablado rebelión.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

therefore the LORD says, “Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his offspring. He will not have a man to dwell among this people. He won’t see the good that I will do to my people,” says the LORD, “because he has spoken rebellion against the LORD.”’”
