Jeremías 27
Septante en francais
1Parole du Seigneur qu'il a prononcée sur Babylone.
2Proclamez parmi les nations, faites entendre ces choses et ne les cachez pas. Dites que Babylone a succombé, que Bel a été confondu, et que Mérodach, qui vivait sans crainte et dans la mollesse, a été livré.
3Car un peuple de l'aquilon est en marche contre elle ; il effacera cette contrée, depuis l'homme jusqu'à la bête, et nul ne l'habitera plus.
4En ces jours et en ce temps-là, les fils d'Israël reviendront eux-mêmes, et avec eux, an même instant, les fils de Juda ; ils marcheront pleurant et cherchant le Seigneur.
5Ils interrogeront la voie pour aller à Sion ; car c'est de ce côté qu'ils tourneront le visage ; ils y arriveront et ils se réfugieront auprès du Seigneur Dieu ; car l'alliance éternelle ne sera point mise en oubli.
6Mon peuple est devenu un troupeau de brebis errantes ; leurs pasteurs les ont dispersées ; ils les ont égarées dans les montagnes ; elles ont passé de colline en colline ; elles ont oublié leur bergerie.
7Tous ceux qui les ont trouvées les ont détruites ; leurs ennemis disaient : Ne les laissons pas aller, en punition de ce qu'elles ont péché contre le Seigneur. Celui qui a rassemblé leurs pères a des pâturages de justice.
8Maintenant sortez du milieu de Babylone ; revenez de la terre des Chaldéens ; soyez comme des dragons en face des agneaux.
9Car voilà que je vais susciter contre Babylone les rassemblements des peuples de l'aquilon, et ils marcheront contre elle, et ils la prendront ; tel le javelot d'un guerrier habile n'est jamais sans effet en revenant du combat.
10Et la Chaldée sera livrée au pillage, et tous ceux qui en prendront une part seront rassasiés ;
11Parce que vous vous êtes réjouis et glorifiés en pillant mon héritage, vous avez bondi comme des génisses dans la prairie, et vous avez frappé de vos cornes comme des taureaux.
12Votre mère a été profondément confondue ; cette mère, qui vous avait enfantés au milieu des biens, a été couverte de honte ; elle est la dernière des nations et désolée ;
13Et à cause de la colère du Seigneur elle ne sera plus habitée. Elle ne sera plus partout qu'une solitude, et quiconque traversera Babylone sera troublé, et on la sifflera en voyant ses plaies.
14Investissez Babylone, vous tous qui savez tendre un arc ; lancez-lui des flèches, et ne les lui épargnez pas.
15Et prévalez sur elle ; ses mains sont énervées, ses créneaux détruits, ses remparts minés. La vengeance vient de Dieu, vengez-vous d'elle ; traitez-la comme elle a traité les vaincus.
16Exterminez la semence de Babylone et celui qui tient la faucille au temps de la moisson ; en face du glaive hellénique, chacun reviendra à son peuple, et chacun se réfugiera en sa terre.
17Israël était ma brebis égarée ; les lions l'avaient chassée. Le roi Assur le premier l'avait dévorée, et le roi de Babylone ensuite en avait rongé les os.
18À cause de cela, ainsi dit le Seigneur : Voilà que je tire vengeance du roi de Babylone, et je punis sa terre comme j'ai puni le roi Assur,
19Et je rétablirai Israël dans son pâturage, et il reviendra paître sur le Carmel et dans les montagnes d'Éphraïm, et en Galaad, et son âme sera rassasiée.
20En ces jours et en ces temps-là, on cherchera l'iniquité d'Israël, et il n'y en aura plus ; on cherchera les péchés de Juda, et l'on n'en trouvera plus ; parce que je serai propice à tous ceux qui me seront restés
21Sur la terre, dit le Seigneur. Attaque sans merci les murs de Babylone et ceux qui l'habitent ; punis-les avec le glaive ; détruis-les, dit le Seigneur, et fais ce que je te commande.
22Il y a une voix de guerre et une grande affliction en la terre des Chaldéens.
23Comment a été rompu et broyé le marteau qui frappait toute la terre ? Comment Babylone a-t-elle été désolée parmi les nations ?
24Ils te donneront l'assaut, Babylone, et tu ne sauras comment tu as été surprise. Tu as été trouvée et prise, parce que tu as résisté au Seigneur.
25Le Seigneur a ouvert son trésor, et il en a tiré les instruments de sa colère ; et le Seigneur Dieu a frappé la terre des Chaldéens,
26Parce que leurs temps sont venus. Ouvrez ses réceptacles ; fouillez-la comme une caverne ; exterminez-la et qu'il ne reste rien d'elle.
27Desséchez tous ses fruits, et que l'on emmène ses hommes pour les égorger. Malheur à eux ; car leur jour est venu ; il est venu le temps de leur rétribution.
28La voix des fugitifs et de ceux qui se sont sauvés de Babylone annoncera à Sion que leur châtiment vient du Seigneur notre Dieu.
29Appelez contre Babylone une multitude de guerriers, tous ceux qui tendent un arc ; dressez votre camp autour de son enceinte ; que nul des siens n'échappe ; rétribuez-la selon ses œuvres : ce qu'elle a fait, faites-le-lui ; car elle s'est élevée contre le Seigneur, contre le Dieu saint d'Israël.
30À cause de cela, ses jeunes hommes tomberont dans ses places, et tous ses hommes de guerre succomberont, dit le Seigneur.
31Voilà que je suis contre toi, superbe, dit le Seigneur ; ton jour est venu ; voilà le temps de ta rétribution,
32Et ton orgueil fléchira et il sera abattu, et nul ne le relèvera ; et je mettrai le feu à ta forêt, et il dévorera tout ce qui l'entoure.
33Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : Tous les fils d'Israël et tous les fils de Juda ont été opprimés ; tous ceux qui les ont faits captifs les ont tenus sous l'oppression ; et ils n'ont point voulu les renvoyer libres ;
34Mais leur rédempteur est le Dieu fort ; le Seigneur tout-puissant est son nom ; il entrera en jugement avec ses ennemis pour délivrer la terre ; et il aiguisera un glaive contre les habitants de Babylone ;
35Un glaive contre eux et les Chaldéens, contre tous leurs grands et tous leurs sages ;
36Un glaive contre tous leurs guerriers, et ils seront énervés ;
37Un glaive contre leurs chevaux et leurs chars, contre leurs cavaliers et le peuple mêlé parmi eux, et ils seront comme des femmes ; un glaive contre leurs trésors, et ils seront dispersés ;
38Un glaive sur les eaux de Babylone ; et les Chaldéens seront confondus, parce que leur terre est une terre d'idoles, ainsi que les îles dont ils faisaient leur orgueil.
39À cause de cela, des idoles monstrueuses habiteront dans leurs îles, et les filles des sirènes dans Babylone, et elle ne sera pas repeuplée dans les siècles des siècles.
40De même que Dieu a renversé Sodome et Gomorrhe et les villes voisines, dit le Seigneur, ainsi nul homme n'habitera en Babylone, et nul fils de l'homme n'y demeurera.
41Voilà qu'un peuple vient de l'aquilon ; et une grande nation, et nombre de rois seront suscités des extrémités de la terre,
42Tenant l'arc et le glaive : ce peuple est hardi et il sera sans pitié. Leur voix retentira comme la mer ; ils seront montés sur des chevaux exercés ; à la guerre ils seront comme la flamme ; et c'est toi qu'ils attaqueront, fille de Babylone.
43Le roi de Babylone a entendu leur rumeur, et ses mains en ont été énervées, et l'angoisse l'a saisi comme les douleurs de l'enfantement.
44Voilà que ce peuple va bondir comme un lion bondit du Jourdain à Étham ; je détournerai promptement les miens de cette terre ; je conduirai contre elle tout jeune homme : car qui est semblable à moi ? Qui me résistera ? Et quel est le pasteur qui se placera devant moi, face à face ?
45À cause de cela, écoutez le conseil que le Seigneur a décrété contre Babylone, et lu pensées qu'il a eues contre les Chaldéens qui l'habitent : Je jure que les agneaux de leurs brebis périront, et que leur pâturage sera désolé.
46Car au bruit de la prise de Babylone, la terre tremblera, et une clameur sera entendue parmi les nations.

1EN el principio del reinado de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, fué de Jehová esta palabra á Jeremías, diciendo:
2Jehová me ha dicho así: Hazte coyundas y yugos, y ponlos sobre tu cuello;
3Y los enviarás al rey de Edom, y al rey de Moab, y al rey de los hijos de Ammón, y al rey de Tiro, y al rey de Sidón, por mano de los embajadores que vienen á Jerusalem á Sedechîas, rey de Judá.
4Y les mandarás que digan á sus señores: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Así habéis de decir á vuestros señores:
5Yo hice la tierra, el hombre y las bestias que están sobre la haz de la tierra, con mi grande potencia y con mi brazo extendido, y díla á quien me plugo.
6Y ahora yo he dado todas estas tierras en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, mi siervo, y aun las bestias del campo le he dado para que le sirvan.
7Y todas las gentes le servirán á él, y á su hijo, y al hijo de su hijo, hasta que venga también el tiempo de su misma tierra; y le servirán muchas gentes y reyes grandes.
8Y será, que la gente y el reino que no sirviere á Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y que no pusiere su cuello debajo del yugo del rey de Babilonia, con espada y con hambre y con pestilencia visitaré á la tal gente, dice Jehová, hasta que los acabe yo por su mano.
9Y vosotros no prestéis oído á vuestros profetas, ni á vuestros adivinos, ni á vuestros sueños, ni á vuestros agoreros, ni á vuestros encantadores, que os hablan diciendo: No serviréis al rey de Babilonia.
10Porque ellos os profetizan mentira, por haceros alejar de vuestra tierra, y para que yo os arroje y perezcáis.
11Mas la gente que sometiere su cuello al yugo del rey de Babilonia, y le sirviere, haréla dejar en su tierra, dice Jehová, y labrarála, y morará en ella.
12Y hablé también á Sedechîas rey de Judá conforme á todas estas palabras, diciendo: Someted vuestros cuellos al yugo del rey de Babilonia, y servid á él y á su pueblo, y vivid.
13¿Por qué moriréis, tú y tu pueblo, á cuchillo, de hambre, y pestilencia, según ha dicho Jehová á la gente que no sirviere al rey de Babilonia?
14No oigáis las palabras de los profetas que os hablan, diciendo: No serviréis al rey de Babilonia; porque os profetizan mentira.
15Porque yo no los envié, dice Jehová, y ellos profetizan falsamente en mi nombre, para que yo os arroje, y perezcáis, vosotros y los profetas que os profetizan.
16También á los sacerdotes y á todo este pueblo hablé, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: No oigáis las palabras de vuestros profetas que os profetizan diciendo: He aquí que los vasos de la casa de Jehová volverán de Babilonia ahora presto. Porque os profetizan mentira.
17No los oigáis; servid al rey de Babilonia, y vivid: ¿por qué ha de ser desierta esta ciudad?
18Y si ellos son profetas, y si es con ellos palabra de Jehová, oren ahora á Jehová de los ejércitos, que los vasos que han quedado en la casa de Jehová y en la casa del rey de Judá y en Jerusalem, no vayan á Babilonia.
19Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos de aquellas columnas, y del mar, y de las basas, y del resto de los vasos que quedan en esta ciudad,
20Que no quitó Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, cuando trasportó de Jerusalem á Babilonia á Jechônías hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y á todos los nobles de Judá y de Jerusalem:
21Así pues ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, acerca de los vasos que quedaron en la casa de Jehová, y en la casa del rey de Judá, y en Jerusalem:
22A Babilonia serán trasportados, y allí estarán hasta el día en que yo los visitaré, dice Jehová; y después los haré subir, y restituirélos á este lugar.

1In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,
3And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
4And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
5I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
6And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
7And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
8And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
9Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
10For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
11But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
12I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
13Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
15For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.
16Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
17Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?
18But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
19For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,
20Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
21Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;

2the LORD says to me: “Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck.
3Then send them to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the children of Ammon, to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.
4Give them a command to their masters, saying, ‘The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says, “You shall tell your masters:
5‘I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.
6Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. I have also given the animals of the field to him to serve him.
7All the nations will serve him, his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings will make him their bondservant.
8“‘“‘It will happen that I will punish the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon,’ says the LORD, ‘with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
9But as for you, don’t listen to your prophets, to your diviners, to your dreams, to your soothsayers, or to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, “You shall not serve the king of Babylon;”

14Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.
15For I have not sent them,” says the LORD, “but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.”
16Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, the LORD says, “Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, ‘Behold, the vessels of the LORD’s house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.
17Don’t listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why should this city become a desolation?
18But if they are prophets, and if the LORD’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the LORD’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.
19For the LORD of Armies says concerning the pillars, concerning the sea, concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,
20which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem—
