1EIN Gesicht liess der Herr mich schauen: da standen zwei Körbe mit Feigen vor dem Tempel des Herrn nachdem Nebukadrezar, der König von Babel, den Jechonja, den Sohn Jojakims, den König von Juda, und die Fürsten Judas und die Werkmeister und Schmiede aus Jerusalem in die Verbannung geführt und sie nach Babel gebracht hatte; (1) d.i. 2in dem einen Korb waren sehr gute Feigen, wie die Frühfeigen sind, im andern Korb waren sehr schlechte Feigen, dass man sie nicht essen konnte, so schlecht waren sie.
3Da sprach der Herr zu mir: Was siehst du, Jeremia? Ich sagte: Feigen! Die guten Feigen sind sehr gut, die schlechten aber sehr schlecht, so schlecht, dass man sie nicht essen kann.
4Da erging an mich das Wort des Herrn:
5So spricht der Herr, der Gott Israels: Wie diese guten Feigen, so will ich die Verbannten Judas, die ich von diesem Orte in das Land der Chaldäer fortgeschickt habe, ansehen zum Guten.
6Ich will mein Auge auf sie richten zum Guten und sie zurückbringen in dieses Land, will sie aufbauen und nicht zerstören, sie einpflanzen und nicht ausreissen. (a) Jer 31:28
7Und ich will ihnen ein Herz geben, das sie erkennen lässt, dass ich der Herr bin. Sie werden mein Volk sein, und ich werde ihr Gott sein; denn sie werden sich von ganzem Herzen zu mir bekehren. (a) Jer 31:33; 5Mo 30:6; Hes 11:19 20
8Und wie die schlechten Feigen, die so schlecht sind, dass man sie nicht essen kann, so will ich, spricht der Herr, Zedekia, den König von Juda, ausschütten samt seinen Fürsten und dem Rest von Jerusalem, der in diesem Lande übriggeblieben ist, und denen, die im Lande Ägypten wohnen; (a) Jer 29:17
9ich will sie zum Entsetzen machen für alle Königreiche der Erde, zur Schmach und zum Sprichwort, zum Gespött und zum Fluchwort an allen Orten, wohin ich sie verstosse. (a) Jer 15:4; 29:18 22; 5Mo 28:37
10Und ich will das Schwert, den Hunger und die Pest gegen sie loslassen, bis sie ausgerottet sind aus dem Lande, das ich ihnen und ihren Vätern gegeben habe. (a) Jer 15:2; 34:17

1MOSTRÓME Jehová, y he aquí dos cestas de higos puestas delante del templo de Jehová, después de haber trasportado Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia á Jechônías hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y á los príncipes de Judá, y á los oficiales y herreros de Jerusalem, y haberlos llevado á Babilonia.
2La una cesta tenía higos muy buenos, como brevas; y la otra cesta tenía higos muy malos, que no se podían comer de malos.
3Y díjome Jehová: ¿Qué ves tú, Jeremías? Y dije: Higos, higos buenos, muy buenos; y malos, muy malos, que de malos no se pueden comer.
4Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
5Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Como á estos buenos higos, así conoceré la trasportación de Judá al cual eché de este lugar á tierra de Caldeos, para bien.
6Porque pondré mis ojos sobre ellos para bien, y volverélos á esta tierra; y los edificaré, y no los destruiré: plantarélos, y no los arrancaré.
7Y les daré corazón para que me conozcan, que yo soy Jehová: y me serán por pueblo, y yo les seré á ellos por Dios; porque se volverán á mí de todo su corazón.
8Y como los malos higos, que de malos no se pueden comer, así, ha dicho Jehová, daré á Sedechîas rey de Judá, y á sus príncipes, y al resto de Jerusalem que quedaron en esta tierra, y que moran en la tierra de Egipto.
9Y darélos por escarnio, por mal á todos los reinos de la tierra: por infamia, y por ejemplo, y por refrán, y por maldición á todos los lugares adonde yo los arrojaré.
10Y enviaré sobre ellos espada, hambre, y pestilencia, hasta que sean acabados de sobre la tierra que les dí á ellos y á sus padres.

1The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
2One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
3Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
4Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
6For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
7And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
8And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
9And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
10And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.

1The LORD showed me, and behold, two baskets of figs were set before the LORD’s temple, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
2One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first-ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
3Then the LORD asked me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said, “Figs. The good figs are very good, and the bad are very bad, so bad that they can’t be eaten.”
4The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
5“The LORD, the God of Israel says: ‘Like these good figs, so I will regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, as good.
6For I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land. I will build them, and not pull them down. I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
7I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God; for they will return to me with their whole heart.
8“‘As the bad figs, which can’t be eaten, they are so bad,’ surely the LORD says, ‘So I will give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.
9I will even give them up to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I will drive them.
