Esto es lo que el SEÑOR dice: "Baja a la casa del rey de Judá y proclama esta palabra allí.
ASÍ dijo Jehová: Desciende á la casa del rey de Judá, y habla allí esta palabra,
Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,
The LORD said, “Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak this word there:
Di: 'rey de Judá, escucha la palabra del SEÑOR - tú que te sientas en el trono de David - tú, y tus sirvientes, y tu pueblo que pasa por estas puertas.
Y di: Oye palabra de Jehová, oh rey de Judá que estás sentado sobre el trono de David, tú, y tus criados, y tu pueblo que entran por estas puertas.
And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
‘Hear the LORD’s word, king of Judah, who sits on David’s throne—you, your servants, and your people who enter in by these gates.
El SEÑOR dice esto: "Haz justicia y rectitud, y cualquiera quien haya sido robado - rescátalo de la mano del opresor. No maltrates a ningún extranjero en tu tierra, ni algún huérfano o viuda. No cometas violencia ni derrames sangre inocente en este lugar.
Así ha dicho Jehová: Haced juicio y justicia, y librad al oprimido de mano del opresor, y no engañéis ni robéis al extranjero, ni al huérfano, ni á la viuda, ni derraméis sangre inocente en este lugar.
Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
The LORD says: “Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong. Do no violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Don’t shed innocent blood in this place.
¡Pues si tú en verdad haces estas cosas, entonces reyes sentados en el trono de David entrarán por las puertas de esta casa montados en carruajes y en caballos, él, sus siervos, y su pueblo!
Porque si efectivamente hiciereis esta palabra, los reyes que en lugar de David se sientan sobre su trono, entrarán montados en carros y en caballos por las puertas de esta casa, ellos, y sus criados, y su pueblo.
For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
For if you do this thing indeed, then kings sitting on David’s throne will enter in by the gates of this house, riding in chariots and on horses—they, their servants, and their people.
Pero si tú no escuchas estás palabras de Mí que Yo he anunciado - esta es la declaración del SEÑOR- entonces esta casa real se convertirá en una ruina.'"
Mas si no oyereis estas palabras, por mí he jurado, dice Jehová, que esta casa será desierta.
But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.
But if you will not hear these words, I swear by myself,” says the LORD, “that this house will become a desolation.”’”
Pues, el SEÑOR dice esto con respecto a la casa del rey de Judá: 'Tú eres como Galaad, o como la cumbre del Líbano para Mí. Sin embargo, Yo te convertiré en un desierto, en ciudades sin habitantes.
Porque así ha dicho Jehová sobre la casa del rey de Judá: Galaad eres tú para mí, y cabeza del Líbano: empero de cierto te pondré en soledad, y ciudades deshabitadas.
For thus saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.
For the LORD says concerning the house of the king of Judah: “You are Gilead to me, the head of Lebanon. Yet surely I will make you a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.
¡Por que Yo he designado destructores que vengan contra ti! Hombres con sus armas cortarán lo mejor de tus cedros y los dejarán caer en el fuego.
Y señalaré contra ti disipadores, cada uno con sus armas; y cortarán tus cedros escogidos, y los echarán en el fuego.
And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
I will prepare destroyers against you, everyone with his weapons, and they will cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
Entonces, muchas naciones pasarán junto a esta ciudad. Cada persona le dirá a la próxima: "¿Por qué ha actuado el SEÑOR en esta manera hacia esta gran ciudad?"
Y muchas gentes pasarán junto á esta ciudad, y dirán cada uno á su compañero: ¿Por qué lo hizo así Jehová con esta grande ciudad?
And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city?
“Many nations will pass by this city, and they will each ask his neighbor, ‘Why has the LORD done this to this great city?’
Entonces, la otra le contestará: "Porque ellos abandonaron el pacto del SEÑOR su Dios y se postraron delante otros dioses y los adoraron."
Y dirán: Porque dejaron el pacto de Jehová su Dios, y adoraron dioses ajenos, y les sirvieron.
Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.
Then they will answer, ‘Because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD their God, worshiped other gods, and served them.’”
No lloren por el que está muerto ni hagan duelo por él; pero lloren amargamente por el que se va a ir, porque él nunca regresará y y verá su tierra nativa otra vez.'
No lloréis al muerto, ni de él os condolezcáis: llorad amargamente por el que va; porque no volverá jamás, ni verá la tierra donde nació.
Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.
Don’t weep for the dead. Don’t bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he will return no more, and not see his native country.
Porque el SEÑOR dice esto sobre Joacaz hijo de Josías rey de Judá, quien sirvió como rey en lugar de Josías su padre: 'Él se ha ido de este sitio y no volverá.
Porque así ha dicho Jehová, de Sallum hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, que reina por Josías su padre, que salió de este lugar: No volverá acá más;
For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:
For the LORD says touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went out of this place: “He won’t return there any more.
Él morirá allí en el lugar donde ellos lo exiliaron, y nunca más verá esta tierra.'
Antes morirá en el lugar adonde lo trasportaren, y no verá más esta tierra.
But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.
But he will die in the place where they have led him captive. He will see this land no more.”
¡Ay del que edifica su casa por injusticia, sus aposentos altos por injusticia, que hace a su vecino trabajar por nada, y no le da su sueldo;
¡Ay del que edifica su casa y no en justicia, y sus salas y no en juicio, sirviéndose de su prójimo de balde, y no dándole el salario de su trabajo!
Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
“Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his rooms by injustice; who uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and doesn’t give him his hire;
él dice: 'Yo construiré para mí mismo una casa grande con espaciosos aposentos altos.' Así corta ventanas grandes para esto, y él los cubre con paneles de cedro, y él los pinta en rojo.'
Que dice: Edificaré para mí casa espaciosa, y airosas salas; y le abre ventanas, y la cubre de cedro, y la pinta de bermellón.
That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
who says, ‘I will build myself a wide house and spacious rooms,’ and cuts out windows for himself, with a cedar ceiling, and painted with red.
¿Es esto lo que te hace un buen rey, que tú quieras tener paneles de cedro? ¿No comió y bebió tu padre también, aún haciendo justicia y rectitud? Entonces, las cosas fueron bien para él.
¿Reinarás porque te cercas de cedro? ¿no comió y bebió tu padre, é hizo juicio y justicia, y entonces le fué bien?
Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?
“Should you reign because you strive to excel in cedar? Didn’t your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.
Él juzgó a favor de los pobres y los necesitados. Eso fue bueno entonces. ¿No es esto lo que quiere decir el conocerme a Mí? - esta es la declaración del SEÑOR.
El juzgó la causa del afligido y del menesteroso, y entonces estuvo bien. ¿No es esto conocerme á mí? dice Jehová.
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD.
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; so then it was well. Wasn’t this to know me?” says the LORD.
Pero no hay nada en tus ojos y corazón excepto preocupaciones por tus ganancias injustas y por haber derramado sangre inocente, por producir opresión y aplastamiento a otros.
Mas tus ojos y tu corazón no son sino á tu avaricia, y á derramar la sangre inocente, y á opresión, y á hacer agravio.
But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
But your eyes and your heart are only for your covetousness, for shedding innocent blood, for oppression, and for doing violence.”
Por lo tanto, dice el SEÑOR acerca de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá: Ellos no van a lamentarlo a él diciendo, '¡Ay, mi hermano!' o '¡Ay, mi hermana!' Ellos no van a lamentar por él diciendo. '¡Ay mi maestro!' o '¡Ay, mi majestad!'
Por tanto así ha dicho Jehová, de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá: No lo llorarán, diciendo: ¡Ay hermano mío! y ¡ay hermana! ni lo lamentarán, diciendo: ¡Ay señor! ¡ay su grandeza!
Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!
Therefore the LORD says concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah: “They won’t lament for him, saying, ‘Ah my brother!’ or, ‘Ah sister!’ They won’t lament for him, saying ‘Ah lord!’ or, ‘Ah his glory!’
Él será sepultado con un entierro de asno, arrastrado lejos y lanzado más allá de las puertas de Jerusalén.
En sepultura de asno será enterrado, arrastrándole y echándole fuera de las puertas de Jerusalem.
He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
He will be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.”
Sube a las montañas del Líbano y grita. Alza tu voz en Basán. Grita desde las montañas de Abarim, pues, todos tus amigos serán destruidos.
Sube al Líbano, y clama, y en Basán da tu voz, y grita hacia todas partes; porque todos tus enamorados son quebrantados.
Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed.
“Go up to Lebanon, and cry out. Lift up your voice in Bashan, and cry from Abarim; for all your lovers have been destroyed.
Yo te hablé cuando tú estabas seguro, pero tú dijiste: 'No escucharé.' Esta era tu costumbre desde tu juventud, porque tú no has escuchado mi voz.
Hete hablado en tus prosperidades; mas dijiste: No oiré. Este fué tu camino desde tu juventud, que nunca oiste mi voz.
I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.
I spoke to you in your prosperity, but you said, ‘I will not listen.’ This has been your way from your youth, that you didn’t obey my voice.
El viento pastoreará lejos todos tus pastores, y tus amigos irán al cautiverio. Entonces, ciertamente tú serás avergonzado y humillado por todos tus hechos malignos.
A todos tus pastores pacerá el viento, y tus enamorados irán en cautiverio: entonces te avergonzarás y te confundirás á causa de toda tu malicia.
The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.
The wind will feed all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. Surely then you will be ashamed and confounded for all your wickedness.
¡Tú que vives en el 'Líbano', quien está úbicado en edificios de cedro, cómo serás compadecido cuando los dolores de parto lleguen sobre ti, dolor como el de la mujer que está en parto!"
Habitaste en el Líbano, hiciste tu nido en los cedros: ¡cómo gemirás cuando te vinieren dolores, dolor como de mujer que está de parto!
O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!
Inhabitant of Lebanon, who makes your nest in the cedars, how greatly to be pitied you will be when pangs come on you, the pain as of a woman in travail!
"Mientras Yo viva - esta es la declaración del SEÑOR - aunque tú, Conías, hijo de Joacim rey de Judá, fuera el sello en mi mano derecha, Yo lo arrancaría.
Vivo yo, dice Jehová, que si Conías hijo de Joacím rey de Judá fuese anillo en mi mano diestra, aun de allí te arrancaré;
As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;
“As I live,” says the LORD, “though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet on my right hand, I would still pluck you from there.
Pues, Yo te he dado a la mano de los que buscaban tu vida y a la mano de aquellos delante de quien tú tienes miedo, hasta la mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia y de los Caldeos.
Y te entregaré en mano de los que buscan tu alma, y en mano de aquellos cuya vista temes; sí, en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y en mano de los Caldeos.
And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
I would give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of them of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Te lanzaré a ti y a tu madre que te parió a otra tierra, a un país donde tú no naciste, y allí tú morirás.
Y hacerte he trasportar, á ti, y á tu madre que te parió, á tierra ajena en que no nacisteis; y allá moriréis.
And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.
I will cast you out with your mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born; and there you will die.
Acerca de esta tierra donde ellos querrán volver, ellos no volverán aquí.
Y á la tierra á la cual levantan ellos su alma para tornar, allá no volverán.
But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.
But to the land to which their soul longs to return, there they will not return.”
¿Es ésta una vasija despreciada y destrozada? ¿Es este hombre, Conías, una vasija que no complace a nadie? ¿Por qué han sido arrojados él y sus descendientes, y han sido vertidos en una tierra desconocida por ellos?
¿Es este hombre Conías un ídolo vil quebrado? ¿es vaso con quien nadie se deleita? ¿Por qué fueron arrojados, él y su generación, y echados á tierra que no habían conocido?
Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?
Is this man Coniah a despised broken vessel? Is he a vessel in which no one delights? Why are they cast out, he and his offspring, and cast into a land which they don’t know?
¡Tierra, Tierra, Tierra! ¡Escucha la palabra del SEÑOR!
¡Tierra, tierra, tierra! oye palabra de Jehová.
O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.
O earth, earth, earth, hear the LORD’s word!
El SEÑOR dice esto: 'Escribe sobre este hombre Conías: Será sin hijos. No prosperará durante sus días, y ninguno de sus descendientes alcanzarán éxito ni volverán a sentarse en el trono de David y gobernar sobre Judá.'"
Así ha dicho Jehová: Escribid que será este hombre privado de generación, hombre á quien nada sucederá prósperamente en todos los días de su vida: porque ningún hombre de su simiente que se sentare sobre el trono de David, y que se enseñoreare sobre Judá, será jamás dichoso.
Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
The LORD says, “Record this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his days; for no more will a man of his offspring prosper, sitting on David’s throne and ruling in Judah.”
