La palabra de Jehová que fué á él en los días de Josías hijo de Amón, rey de Judá, en el año décimotercio de su reinado.
To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

Anzi che ti formassi nel sen della madre, io ti conobbi, ed anzi che tu uscissi dall'utero, io ti santificai, e ti diedi Profeta alle genti.
Antes que te formase en el vientre te conocí, y antes que salieses de la matriz te santifiqué, te dí por profeta á las gentes.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Ed io dissi: Ah, ah, ah, Signore Dio, tu vedi, ch'io non so parlare, perchè io sono un fanciullo.
Y yo dije: ¡Ah! ¡ah! ¡Señor Jehová! He aquí, no sé hablar, porque soy niño.
Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I don’t know how to speak; for I am a child.”
E il Signore disse a me: Non dire: Io sono un fanciullo; perocché tu anderai a fare tutte quelle cose, per le quali ti spedirò, e tutto quello, che io t'ingiungerò, tu lo dirai.
Y díjome Jehová: No digas, soy niño; porque á todo lo que te enviaré irás tú, y dirás todo lo que te mandaré.
But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
But the LORD said to me, “Don’t say, ‘I am a child;’ for you must go to whomever I send you, and you must say whatever I command you.
Non temere la faccia di coloro: conciossiachè son io con te, per trarti d'impaccio, dice il Signore.
No temas delante de ellos, porque contigo soy para librarte, dice Jehová.
Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

E stese il Signore la mano, e toccò la mia bocca; e dissemi il Signore: Ecco che io pongo nella tua bocca le mie parole:
Y extendió Jehová su mano, y tocó sobre mi boca; y díjome Jehová: He aquí he puesto mis palabras en tu boca.
Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

Ecco che io ti do oggi autorità sopra le genti, e sopra i reami, affinchè tu di radichi, e distrugga, e disperga, e dissipi, e edifichi, e pianti.
Mira que te he puesto en este día sobre gentes y sobre reinos, para arrancar y para destruir, y para arruinar y para derribar, y para edificar y para plantar.
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Behold, I have today set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to uproot and to tear down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
E il Signore mi parlò, e disse: Che è quello, che tu vedi, o Geremia? E io dissi: Io vedo una verga vegliante.
Y la palabra de Jehová fué á mí, diciendo: ¿Qué ves tú, Jeremías? Y dije: Yo veo una vara de almendro.
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”
E il Signore mi disse: Così è come tu hai veduto; perocché io sarò vigilante sopra la mia Parola per adempirla.
Y díjome Jehová: Bien has visto; porque yo apresuro mi palabra para ponerla por obra.
Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it.”
E il Signore parlommi di nuovo, e disse: Che vedi tu? E io dissi: Veggo una caldaia bollente, ed ella viene dalla parte di settentrione.
Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová segunda vez, diciendo: ¿Qué ves tú? Y dije: Yo veo una olla que hierve; y su haz está de la parte del aquilón.
And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.
The LORD’s word came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” I said, “I see a boiling cauldron; and it is tipping away from the north.”
E il Signore mi disse: Dal settentrione si spanderanno tutti i mali sopra gli abitatori di questo paese;
Y díjome Jehová: Del aquilón se soltará el mal sobre todos los moradores de la tierra.
Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
Then the LORD said to me, “Out of the north, evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.
Imperocché ecco che io convocherò tutte le famiglie dei regni del settentrione, dice il Signore: e verranno, e porrà ognuno di essi il suo padiglione all'entrar delle porte di Gerusalemme, e sopra le sue mura all'intorno, e in tutte le città di Giuda.
Porque he aquí que yo convoco todas las familias de los reinos del aquilón, dice Jehová; y vendrán, y pondrá cada uno su asiento á la entrada de las puertas de Jerusalem, y junto á todos sus muros en derredor, y en todas las ciudades de Judá.
For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.

Ed io esporrò a costoro i miei giudizi sopra tutta la malizia di quegli, che hanno abbandonato me, ed han fatte libagioni a' dei stranieri, e hanno adorato l'opera delle lor mani.
Y á causa de toda su malicia, proferiré mis juicios contra los que me dejaron, é incensaron á dioses extraños, y á hechuras de sus manos se encorvaron.
And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

Tu adunque cingi i tuoi fianchi, e sorgi, e di a costoro tutto quello, ch'io ti comando. Non aver paura della loro faccia: imperocché io farò, che tu non abbi paura de' loro sguardi;
Tú pues, ciñe tus lomos, y te levantarás, y les hablarás todo lo que te mandaré: no temas delante de ellos, porque no te haga yo quebrantar delante de ellos.
Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.
“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.
Imperocché io ti ho fatto oggi come una città forte, e come una colonna di ferro, e un muro di bronzo contro tutto il paese, contro i re di Giuda, e i suoi magnati, e i sacerdoti, e il popolo del paese.
Porque he aquí que yo te he puesto en este día como ciudad fortalecida, y como columna de hierro, y como muro de bronce sobre toda la tierra, á los reyes de Judá, á sus príncipes, á sus sacerdotes, y al pueblo de la tierra.
For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

Ed eglino faranno a te guerra, ma non la vinceranno: perocché son io con te, dice il Signore, per tua sicurezza. Querele di Dio contro i Giudei, e particolarmente contro i pastori, e falsi profeti. Predizione della loro imminente rovina in pena della loro idolatria, e di tutte le loro iniquità.
Y pelearán contra ti, mas no te vencerán; porque yo soy contigo, dice Jehová, para librarte.
And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says the LORD, “to rescue you.”
