Jeremías 18

A palavra que veio a Jeremias da parte do SENHOR, dizendo:

LA palabra que fué á Jeremías de Jehová, diciendo:

“Levante-se e desça à casa do oleiro, e lá farei você ouvir as minhas palavras.”

Levántate, y vete á casa del alfarero, y allí te haré oir mis palabras.

Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.

“Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear my words.”

Então desci à casa do oleiro, e eis que ele estava fazendo algo sobre a roda.

Y descendí á casa del alfarero, y he aquí que él hacía obra sobre la rueda.

Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

Quando o vaso que ele fazia de barro se estragou na mão do oleiro, ele o fez novamente, transformando-o em outro vaso, conforme pareceu bem ao oleiro fazer.

Y el vaso que él hacía de barro se quebró en la mano del alfarero; y tornó é hízolo otro vaso, según que al alfarero pareció mejor hacerlo.

And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Então a palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:

Entonces fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

“Casa de Israel, não posso eu fazer com vocês como este oleiro?” diz o SENHOR. “Eis que, como o barro na mão do oleiro, assim são vocês na minha mão, casa de Israel.

¿No podré yo hacer de vosotros como este alfarero, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová? He aquí que como el barro en la mano del alfarero, así sois vosotros en mi mano, oh casa de Israel.

O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

“House of Israel, can’t I do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Behold, as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel.

No instante em que eu falar a respeito de uma nação e a respeito de um reino, para arrancar, para derrubar e para destruí-lo,

En un instante hablaré contra gentes y contra reinos, para arrancar, y disipar, y destruir.

At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;

At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy it,

se aquela nação, contra a qual falei, se converter da sua maldade, eu me arrependerei do mal que pensava em fazer a ela.

Empero si esas gentes se convirtieren de su maldad, de que habré hablado, yo me arrepentiré del mal que había pensado hacerles.

If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

E no instante em que eu falar a respeito de uma nação e a respeito de um reino, para edificar e para plantá-lo,

Y en un instante hablaré de la gente y del reino, para edificar y para plantar;

And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;

se fizerem o que é mau aos meus olhos, não obedecendo à minha voz, então me arrependerei do bem com o qual eu disse que os beneficiaria.

Pero si hiciere lo malo delante de mis ojos, no oyendo mi voz, arrepentiréme del bien que había determinado hacerle.

If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

if they do that which is evil in my sight, that they don’t obey my voice, then I will repent of the good with which I said I would benefit them.

“Agora, portanto, fale aos homens de Judá e aos habitantes de Jerusalém, dizendo: 'Assim diz o SENHOR: “Eis que preparo o mal contra vocês e elaboro um plano contra vocês. Converta-se agora cada um do seu mau caminho, e corrijam os seus caminhos e as suas ações.”'”

Ahora pues habla luego á todo hombre de Judá, y á los moradores de Jerusalem, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo dispongo mal contra vosotros, y trazo contra vosotros designios: conviértase ahora cada uno de su mal camino, y mejorad vuestros caminos y vuestras obras.

Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.

“Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you. Everyone return from his evil way now, and amend your ways and your doings.”’

Mas eles dizem: 'É em vão; pois andaremos segundo os nossos próprios planos, e cada um de nós seguirá a obstinação do seu mau coração.'”

Y dijeron: Es por demás: porque en pos de nuestras imaginaciones hemos de ir, y hemos de hacer cada uno el pensamiento de su malvado corazón.

And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

But they say, ‘It is in vain; for we will walk after our own plans, and we will each follow the stubbornness of his evil heart.’”

Portanto, assim diz o SENHOR: “Perguntem agora entre as nações: 'Quem já ouviu coisas semelhantes?' A virgem de Israel fez uma coisa muito horrível.

Por tanto, así dijo Jehová: Preguntad ahora á las gentes, quién tal haya oído. Gran fealdad ha hecho la virgen de Israel.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.

Therefore the LORD says: “Ask now among the nations, ‘Who has heard such things?’ The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.

Acaso a neve do Líbano desaparecerá da rocha do campo? Ou secarão as águas frias que descem de longe?

¿Faltará la nieve del Líbano de la piedra del campo? ¿faltarán las aguas frías que corren de lejanas tierras?

Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?

Will the snow of Lebanon fail from the rock of the field? Will the cold waters that flow down from afar be dried up?

Pois o meu povo se esqueceu de mim. Eles queimaram incenso a falsos deuses. Eles foram levados a tropeçar em seus caminhos, nas veredas antigas, para andarem em desvios, em um caminho não aterrado;

Porque mi pueblo me ha olvidado, incensando á la vanidad, y hácenles tropezar en sus caminos, en las sendas antiguas, para que caminen por sendas, por camino no hollado;

Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;

For my people have forgotten me. They have burned incense to false gods. They have been made to stumble in their ways in the ancient paths, to walk in byways, in a way not built up,

para fazerem da sua terra um espanto, e um perpétuo assobio. Todo aquele que passar por ela ficará espantado, e balançará a cabeça.

Para poner su tierra en desolación, y en silbos perpetuos; todo aquel que pasare por ella se maravillará, y meneará su cabeza.

To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head.

to make their land an astonishment, and a perpetual hissing. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished, and shake his head.

Eu os espalharei como com um vento oriental diante do inimigo. Eu lhes mostrarei as costas, e não o rosto, no dia da sua calamidade.”

Como viento solano los esparciré delante del enemigo; mostraréles las espaldas, y no el rostro, en el día de su perdición.

I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will shew them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.

Então eles disseram: “Venham! Vamos elaborar planos contra Jeremias; pois a lei não perecerá do sacerdote, nem o conselho do sábio, nem a palavra do profeta. Venham, e vamos atacá-lo com a língua, e não prestemos atenção a nenhuma das suas palavras.”

Y dijeron: Venid, y tracemos maquinaciones contra Jeremías; porque la ley no faltará del sacerdote, ni consejo del sabio, ni palabra del profeta. Venid é hirámoslo de lengua, y no miremos á todas sus palabras.

Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”

Presta atenção em mim, SENHOR, e ouve a voz daqueles que contendem comigo.

Oh Jehová, mira por mí, y oye la voz de los que contienden conmigo.

Give heed to me, O LORD, and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.

Give heed to me, LORD, and listen to the voice of those who contend with me.

Acaso o mal deve ser retribuído pelo bem? Pois eles cavaram uma cova para a minha alma. Lembra-te de como me coloquei diante de ti para falar o bem a favor deles, para desviar deles a tua ira.

¿Dase mal por bien, para que hayan cavado hoyo á mi alma? Acuérdate que me puse delante de ti para hablar bien por ellos, para apartar de ellos tu ira.

Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy wrath from them.

Portanto, entrega os filhos deles à fome, e entrega-os ao poder da espada. Que as suas mulheres fiquem sem filhos e viúvas. Que os seus homens sejam mortos, e os seus jovens feridos à espada na batalha.

Por tanto, entrega sus hijos á hambre, y hazlos derramar por medio de la espada; y queden sus mujeres sin hijos, y viudas; y sus maridos sean puestos á muerte, y sus jóvenes heridos á cuchillo en la guerra.

Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

Que se ouça um clamor vindo de suas casas, quando trouxeres um bando de repente sobre eles; pois cavaram uma cova para me prender, e esconderam armadilhas para os meus pés.

Oigase clamor de sus casas, cuando trajeres sobre ellos ejército de repente: porque cavaron hoyo para prenderme, y á mis pies han escondido lazos.

Let a cry be heard from their houses, when thou shalt bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have digged a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.

Let a cry be heard from their houses when you bring a troop suddenly on them; for they have dug a pit to take me and hidden snares for my feet.

Contudo, SENHOR, tu conheces todo o conselho deles contra mim para me matar. Não perdoes a iniquidade deles. Não apagues o seu pecado da tua vista. Que eles sejam derrubados diante de ti. Lida com eles no tempo da tua ira.

Mas tú, oh Jehová, conoces todo su consejo contra mí para muerte; no perdones su maldad, ni borres su pecado de delante de tu rostro: y tropiecen delante de ti; haz así con ellos en el tiempo de tu furor.

Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.

Yet, LORD, you know all their counsel against me to kill me. Don’t forgive their iniquity. Don’t blot out their sin from your sight, Let them be overthrown before you. Deal with them in the time of your anger.
