Así que el pueblo dijo: "Vengan, hagamos trampas contra Jeremías, ya que la ley del sacerdote nunca perecerá, o el consejo del hombre sabio, o las palabras del profeta. Vengan vamos a atacarlo a él con nuestras palabras y ya no prestar atención a nada de lo que él proclame."
Y dijeron: Venid, y tracemos maquinaciones contra Jeremías; porque la ley no faltará del sacerdote, ni consejo del sabio, ni palabra del profeta. Venid é hirámoslo de lengua, y no miremos á todas sus palabras.
Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”
