Mais ils disent : Venez et formons des complots contre Jérémie, car la loi ne périra point faute de sacrificateurs, ni la prudence faute de sages, ni la parole de Dieu faute de prophètes. Venez et tuons-le avec la langue, et n'ayons égard à aucun de ses propos !
Y dijeron: Venid, y tracemos maquinaciones contra Jeremías; porque la ley no faltará del sacerdote, ni consejo del sabio, ni palabra del profeta. Venid é hirámoslo de lengua, y no miremos á todas sus palabras.
Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
