Jeremías 16
Septante en francais
1Et tu ne prendras point femme, dit le Seigneur Dieu d'Israël,
2Et il ne te naîtra ni fils ni fille en ce lieu.
3Car voici ce que dit le Seigneur sur les fils et les filles nés en ce lieu, et sur leurs mères qui les auront mis au monde, et sur leurs pères qui les auront engendrés en cette terre :
4Ils mourront d'une mort cruelle ; on ne pleurera pas sur eux ; ils ne seront pas ensevelis ; ils resteront en exemple sur la face de la terre ; ils seront pour les bêtes de la terre et les oiseaux du ciel ; ils périront par le glaive ou seront consumés par la faim.
5Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : N'entre pas dans leurs festins funèbres ; ne va pas te frapper la poitrine et ne pleure pas sur eux ; car j'ai retiré ma paix de ce peuple.
6On ne pleurera point sur eux ; on ne se fera pas d'incisions ; on ne se rasera pas la tête ;
7On ne rompra point dans leur deuil les pains de la consolation sur un mort ; on ne fera pas boire le fils dans le calice de consolation, sur son père ou sa mère.
8Et toi, tu n'entreras pas dans la maison du banquet pour t'y asseoir, et manger et boire avec eux.
9Car ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu d'Israël : Voilà qu'en ce lieu, devant vous et de vos jours, je ferai taire la voix des réjouissances et la voix des fêtes, la voix du jeune époux et la voix de l'épousée.
10Et ceci arrivera lorsque tu feras connaître à ce peuple toutes ces paroles, et qu'il te dira : Pourquoi le Seigneur a-t-il dit tant de mal sur nous ? Quelle est notre iniquité ? quel péché avons-nous commis devant le Seigneur notre Dieu ?
11Tu leur diras : C'est en punition de ce que vos pères m'ont abandonné, dit le Seigneur, et ils ont marché à la suite des dieux étrangers ; ils les ont servis, et les ont adorés ; ils m'ont abandonné, et n'ont point gardé ma loi.
12Et vous-mêmes vous avez fait le mal plus que vos pères ; et voilà que chacun de vous court après ce qui plaît à son cœur perverti, si bien qu'on ne m'obéit plus.
13Et je vous rejetterai de cette terre, et je vous enverrai en une terre que vous n'avez connue ni vous ni vos pères, où vous servirez d'autres dieux, et de ceux-là n'attendez aucune miséricorde.
14A cause de cela, voilà que viennent les jours, dit le Seigneur, où ils ne diront plus : Vive le Seigneur, qui a ramené de la terre d'Égypte les fils d'Israël !
15Mais, vive le Seigneur, qui a ramené la maison d'Israël de la terre du nord et de toutes les contrées où ils avaient été transportés ! et je les rétablirai dans l'héritage que j'ai donné à leurs pères.
16Voilà que je vais envoyer maints pêcheurs, dit le Seigneur Dieu, et ils les pêcheront, et après cela j'enverrai maints chasseurs, et ils leur feront la chasse sur toutes les montagnes, sur toutes les collines, dans toutes les crevasses des rochers.
17Car j'ai les yeux sur toutes leurs voies ; et leurs iniquités n'ont point été cachées à mes yeux.
18Et je donnerai une double rétribution à leurs méchancetés et aux péchés dont ils ont souillé celte terre, avec les cadavres mêmes de leurs abominations et avec les iniquités qu'ils ont faites en mon héritage.
19Seigneur, dans les jours de calamités, vous êtes ma force, mon appui, mon refuge. Les gentils viendront à vous des extrémités de la terre, et ils diront : Quelles idoles trompeuses ont possédées nos pères ! Il n'y avait en elles aucun secours.
20Est-ce que des dieux peuvent être faits par l'homme ? et encore ce ne sont pas des dieux.
21A cause de cela, en ce temps-là, je leur montrerai ma main, et je leur ferai connaître ma puissance, et ils sauront que mon nom est le Seigneur.

1Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
2No tomarás para ti mujer, ni tendrás hijos ni hijas en este lugar.
3Porque así ha dicho Jehová acerca de los hijos y de las hijas que nacieren en este lugar, y de sus madres que los parieren, y de los padres que los engendraren en esta tierra.
4De dolorosas enfermedades morirán; no serán plañidos ni enterrados: serán por muladar sobre la haz de la tierra: y con cuchillo y con hambre serán consumidos, y sus cuerpos serán para comida de las aves del cielo y de las bestias de la tierra.
5Porque así ha dicho Jehová: No entres en casa de luto, ni vayas á lamentar, ni los consueles: porque yo he quitado mi paz de este pueblo, dice Jehová, mi misericordia y piedades.
6Y morirán en esta tierra grandes y chicos: no se enterrarán, ni los plañirán, ni se arañarán, ni se mesarán por ellos;
7Ni por ellos partirán pan por luto, para consolarlos de sus muertos; ni les darán á beber vaso de consolaciones por su padre ó por su madre.
8Asimismo no entres en casa de convite, para sentarte con ellos á comer ó á beber.
9Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel; He aquí que yo haré cesar en este lugar, delante de vuestros ojos y en vuestros días, toda voz de gozo y toda voz de alegría, toda voz de esposo y toda voz de esposa.
10Y acontecerá que cuando anunciares á este pueblo todas estas cosas, te dirán ellos: ¿Por qué habló Jehová sobre nosotros todo este mal tan grande? ¿y qué maldad es la nuestra, ó qué pecado es el nuestro, que cometiéramos contra Jehová nuestro Dios?
11Entonces les dirás: Porque vuestros padres me dejaron, dice Jehová, y anduvieron en pos de dioses ajenos, y los sirvieron, y á ellos se encorvaron, y me dejaron á mí, y no guardaron mi ley;
12Y vosotros habéis hecho peor que vuestros padres; porque he aquí que vosotros camináis cada uno tras la imaginación de su malvado corazón, no oyéndome á mí.
13Por tanto, yo os haré echar de esta tierra á tierra que ni vosotros ni vuestros padres habéis conocido, y allá serviréis á dioses ajenos de día y de noche; porque no os mostraré clemencia.
14Empero he aquí, vienen días, dice Jehová, que no se dirá más: Vive Jehová, que hizo subir á los hijos de Israel de tierra de Egipto;
15Sino: Vive Jehová, que hizo subir á los hijos de Israel de la tierra del aquilón, y de todas las tierras á donde los había arrojado: y volverélos á su tierra, la cual dí á sus padres.
16He aquí que yo envío muchos pescadores, dice Jehová, y los pescarán; y después enviaré muchos cazadores, y los cazarán de todo monte, y de todo collado, y de las cavernas de los peñascos.
17Porque mis ojos están sobre todos sus caminos, los cuales no se me ocultaron, ni su maldad se esconde de la presencia de mis ojos.
18Mas primero pagaré al doble su iniquidad y su pecado; porque contaminaron mi tierra con los cuerpos muertos de sus abominaciones, y de sus abominaciones llenaron mi heredad.
19Oh Jehová, fortaleza mía, y fuerza mía, y refugio mío en el tiempo de la aflicción; á ti vendrán gentes desde los extremos de la tierra, y dirán: Ciertamente mentira poseyeron nuestros padres, vanidad, y no hay en ellos provecho.
20¿Ha de hacer el hombre dioses para sí? mas ellos no son dioses.
21Por tanto, he aquí, les enseñaré de esta vez, enseñarles he mi mano y mi fortaleza, y sabrán que mi nombre es Jehová.

1The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying,
2Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.
3For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land;
4They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
5For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies.
6Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:
7Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
8Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.
9For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.
10And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
11Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;
12And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:
13Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour.
14Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
15But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
16Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
17For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.
18And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.
19O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
20Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?
21Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.
World English Bible
1Then the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2“You shall not take a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters, in this place.”
3For the LORD says concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who became their father in this land:
4“They will die grievous deaths. They will not be lamented, neither will they be buried. They will be as dung on the surface of the ground. They will be consumed by the sword and by famine. Their dead bodies will be food for the birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth.”
5For the LORD says, “Don’t enter into the house of mourning. Don’t go to lament. Don’t bemoan them, for I have taken away my peace from this people,” says the LORD, “even loving kindness and tender mercies.
6Both great and small will die in this land. They will not be buried. Men won’t lament for them, cut themselves, or make themselves bald for them.
7Men won’t break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead. Men won’t give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
8“You shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.”
9For the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
10It will happen, when you tell this people all these words, and they ask you, ‘Why has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us?’ or ‘What is our iniquity?’ or ‘What is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?’
11then you shall tell them, ‘Because your fathers have forsaken me,’ says the LORD, ‘and have walked after other gods, have served them, have worshiped them, have forsaken me, and have not kept my law.
12You have done evil more than your fathers, for behold, you each walk after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you don’t listen to me.
13Therefore I will cast you out of this land into the land that you have not known, neither you nor your fathers. There you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’
14“Therefore behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that it will no more be said, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;’
15but, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries where he had driven them.’ I will bring them again into their land that I gave to their fathers.
16“Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says the LORD, “and they will fish them up. Afterward I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain, from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.
17For my eyes are on all their ways. They are not hidden from my face. Their iniquity isn’t concealed from my eyes.
18First I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled my inheritance with their abominations.”
19LORD, my strength, my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and will say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit.
20Should a man make to himself gods which yet are no gods?”
21“Therefore behold, I will cause them to know, this once I will cause them to know my hand and my might. Then they will know that my name is the LORD.”
