PALABRA que fué de Jehová, á Jeremías, diciendo:

"Escucha las palabras de este pacto, y decláralas a cada hombre en Judá y a los habitantes de Jerusalén.
Oid las palabras de este pacto, y hablad á todo varón de Judá, y á todo morador de Jerusalem.
Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
“Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
Dile a ellos: 'El SEÑOR, Dios de Israel dice esto: Maldito es cualquiera quien no escucha las palabras de este pacto.
Y les dirás tú: Así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: Maldito el varón que no obedeciere las palabras de este pacto,
And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
and say to them, the LORD, the God of Israel says: ‘Cursed is the man who doesn’t hear the words of this covenant,
Este es el pacto que Yo ordené a sus antepasados para guardar el día que Yo los saqué de la tierra de Egipto, del horno para la fundición de hierro. Yo dije: "Escuchen mi voz y hagan todas estas cosas justo como Yo se las he ordenado, pues ustedes serán Mi pueblo y Yo seré su Dios."
El cual mandé á vuestros padres el día que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto, del horno de hierro, diciéndoles: Oid mi voz, y ejecutad aquéllas, conforme á todo lo que os mando, y me seréis por pueblo, y yo seré á vosotros por Dios;
Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the iron furnace,’ saying, ‘Obey my voice and do them, according to all which I command you; so you shall be my people, and I will be your God;
Obedézcanme para que así Yo pueda confirmar el juramento que Yo les juré a sus antepasados, el juramento que Yo les daría la tierra que fluye con leche y miel, donde ustedes viven hoy." Entonces yo, Jeremías, constesté y dije: "¡Sí, SEÑOR!"
Para que confirme el juramento que hice á vuestros padres, que les daría la tierra que corre leche y miel, como este día. Y respondí, y dije: Amén, oh Jehová.
That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
that I may establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey,’ as it is today.” Then I answered, and said, “Amen, LORD.”
El SEÑOR me dijo: "Proclama todas estas cosas en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalén. Di: 'Escucha a las palabras de este pacto y llévalas a cabo.
Y Jehová me dijo: Pregona todas estas palabras en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalem, diciendo: Oid las palabras de este pacto, y ponedlas por obra.
Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.
The LORD said to me, “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Hear the words of this covenant, and do them.
Pues, Yo he estado dando órdenes solemnes a tus antepasados desde el día que Yo los saqué de la tierra de Egipto hasta este tiempo presente, advirtiéndoles persistentemente y diciéndoles: "Escúchen mi voz."'
Porque con eficacia protesté á vuestros padres el día que los hice subir de la tierra de Egipto hasta el día de hoy, madrugando y protestando, diciendo: Oid mi voz.
For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.

Pero ellos no escucharon ni prestaron atención. Cada persona ha estado caminando en la terquedad de su malvado corazón. Así que Yo traje todas las maldiciones en este pacto que Yo ordené venir contra ellos. Pero las personas todavía no obedecieron."
Mas no oyeron, ni inclinaron su oído, antes se fueron cada uno tras la imaginación de su corazón malvado: por tanto, traeré sobre ellos todas las palabras de este pacto, el cual mandé que cumpliesen, y no lo cumplieron.
Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not.
Yet they didn’t obey, nor turn their ear, but everyone walked in the stubbornness of their evil heart. Therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they didn’t do them.’”
Después el SEÑOR me dijo: "Una conspiración ha sido descubierta entre los hombres de Judá y los habitantes de Jerusalén.
Y díjome Jehová: Conjuración se ha hallado en los varones de Judá, y en los moradores de Jerusalem.
And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
The LORD said to me, “A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Ellos se han tornado a las iniquidades de sus primeros antepasados, quienes se rehusaron a escuchar Mi palabra, quienes al contrario caminaron tras otros dioses para adorarlos. La casa de Israel y la casa de Judá rompió mi pacto que Yo establecí con sus antepasados.
Hanse vuelto á las maldades de sus primeros padres, los cuales no quisieron escuchar mis palabras, antes se fueron tras dioses ajenos para servirles; la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá invalidaron mi pacto, el cual había yo concertado con sus padres.
They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

Por lo tanto, el SEÑOR dice esto: 'Mira, Yo estoy a punto de traer desastre sobre ellos, desastre del cual ellos no van a ser capaces de escapar. Luego, ellos van a llamarme a Mí, pero Yo no los voy a escuchar a ellos.
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí yo traigo sobre ellos mal del que no podrán salir; y clamarán á mí, y no los oiré.
Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
Therefore the LORD says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on them which they will not be able to escape; and they will cry to me, but I will not listen to them.
Las ciudades de Judá y los habitantes de Jerusalén irán y llamarán a los dioses a los cuales ellos le han dado ofrendas, pero ellos ciertamente no van a ser salvos por ellos en el tiempo de su desastre.
E irán las ciudades de Judá y los moradores de Jerusalem, y clamarán á los dioses á quienes queman ellos inciensos, los cuales no los podrán salvar en el tiempo de su mal.
Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to which they offer incense, but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
Pues, el número de dioses ha incrementado para igualar el mismo número de tus ciudades, Judá. Y ustedes han hecho el número de altares vergonzosos en Jerusalén, altares de incenso para Baal, al igual que el número de calles.
Porque según el número de tus ciudades fueron tus dioses, oh Judá; y según el número de tus calles, oh Jerusalem, pusisteis los altares de ignominia, altares para ofrecer sahumerios á Baal.
For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.
For according to the number of your cities are your gods, Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem you have set up altars to the shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to Baal.’
Así que, tú mismo, Jeremías, no debes orar por este pueblo. Tú no debes gemir ni orar a favor de ellos. Pues, Yo no voy a estar escuchando cuando ellos me llamen en su desastre.
Tú pues, no ores por este pueblo, ni levantes por ellos clamor ni oración; porque yo no oiré el día que en su aflicción á mí clamaren.
Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.
“Therefore don’t pray for this people. Don’t lift up cry or prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me because of their trouble.
¿Por qué es mi amado, el que ha tenido tantas intenciones malvadas, en Mi casa? La carne de sus sacrificios no te puede ayudar. Tú te regocijas por tu malas acciones.
¿Qué tiene mi amado en mi casa, habiendo hecho abominaciones muchas? Y las carnes santas pasarán de sobre ti, porque en tu maldad te gloriaste.
What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.
What has my beloved to do in my house, since she has behaved lewdly with many, and the holy flesh has passed from you? When you do evil, then you rejoice.”
En el pasado el SEÑOR te llamó un árbol de olivo frondoso, bello con hermosos frutos. Pero Él lo va a encender con un fuego que va a sonar como el rugir de una tormenta; sus ramas serán quebradas.
Oliva verde, hermosa en fruto y en parecer, llamó Jehová tu nombre. A la voz de gran palabra hizo encender fuego sobre ella, y quebraron sus ramas.
The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
The LORD called your name, “A green olive tree, beautiful with goodly fruit.” With the noise of a great roar he has kindled fire on it, and its branches are broken.
Pues, El SEÑOR de los ejércitos, el que te plantó, ha decretado un desastre en tu contra por los malos actos que la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá han cometido, ellos Me han enojado al darle ofrendas a Baal."'
Pues Jehová de los ejércitos, que te plantó, ha pronunciado mal contra ti, á causa de la maldad de la casa de Israel y de la casa de Judá, que hicieron á sí mismos, provocándome á ira con incensar á Baal.
For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.
For the LORD of Armies, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you, because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done to themselves in provoking me to anger by offering incense to Baal.
El SEÑOR me hizo saber estas cosas, así que, yo las sé. Tú, SEÑOR, me has hecho ver sus actos.
Y Jehová me lo hizo saber, y conocílo: entonces me hiciste ver sus obras.
And the LORD hath given me knowledge of it, and I know it: then thou shewedst me their doings.
The LORD gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it. Then you showed me their doings.
Yo era como un cordero tierno siendo llevado a un carnicero. Yo no sabía que ellos había formado un plan en contra mía: "¡Déjanos destruir el árbol con sus frutos! Déjanos cortarlo a él de la tierra de los vivos para que su nombre no sea recordado."
Y yo como cordero inocente que llevan á degollar, pues no entendía que maquinaban contra mí designios, diciendo: Destruyamos el árbol con su fruto, y cortémoslo de la tierra de los vivientes, y no haya más memoria de su nombre.
But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.
But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter. I didn’t know that they had devised plans against me, saying, “Let’s destroy the tree with its fruit, and let’s cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.”
Aún así, el SEÑOR de los ejércitos es el juez justo quien examina el corazón y la mente. Yo voy a presenciar Tu venganza en contra de ellos, pues yo he presentado mi caso ante Ti.
Mas, oh Jehová de los ejércitos, que juzgas justicia, que sondas los riñones y el corazón, vea yo tu venganza de ellos: porque á ti he descubierto mi causa.
But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
But, LORD of Armies, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, I will see your vengeance on them; for to you I have revealed my cause.
Por lo tanto, El SEÑOR dice esto concerniente a las personas de Anatot quienes están en busca de tu vida: "Ellos dicen: 'Tú no debes profetizar en el nombre del SEÑOR, o tú vas a morir por nuestra mano.'
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová de los varones de Anathoth, que buscan tu alma, diciendo: No profetices en nombre de Jehová, y no morirás á nuestras manos:
Therefore thus saith the LORD of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the LORD, that thou die not by our hand:
“Therefore the LORD says concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying, ‘You shall not prophesy in the LORD’s name, that you not die by our hand’—
Por lo tanto, el SEÑOR de los ejércitos dice esto: 'Mira, Yo estoy a punto de castigarlos a ellos. Sus jóvenes vigorozos van a morir por la espada. Sus hijos e hijas van a morir por hambruna.
Así pues ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí que yo los visito; los mancebos morirán á cuchillo; sus hijos y sus hijas morirán de hambre;
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:
therefore the LORD of Armies says, ‘Behold, I will punish them. The young men will die by the sword. Their sons and their daughters will die by famine.
Ninguno de ellos quedará, porque Yo voy a traer desatre en contra de las personas de Anatot, un año de su castigo."'
Y no quedará resto de ellos: porque yo traeré mal sobre los varones de Anathoth, año de su visitación.
And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.
There will be no remnant to them, for I will bring evil on the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.’”
