Und die Männer von Ephraim sprachen zu ihm: Warum hast du uns das angetan, dass du uns nicht riefst, als du zum Kampfe wider die Midianiter auszogst? Und sie haderten heftig mit ihm. (a) Ri 12:1

Y LOS de Ephraim le dijeron: ¿Qué es esto que has hecho con nosotros, no llamándonos cuando ibas á la guerra contra Madián? Y reconviniéronlo fuertemente.

And the men of Ephraim said unto him, Why hast thou served us thus, that thou calledst us not, when thou wentest to fight with the Midianites? And they did chide with him sharply.

The men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you treated us this way, that you didn’t call us when you went to fight with Midian?” They rebuked him sharply.

Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Was habe ich denn nun im Vergleich zu euch geleistet? Ist nicht die Nachlese Ephraims besser als die Ernte Abiesers?

A los cuales él respondió: ¿Qué he hecho yo ahora como vosotros? ¿No es el rebusco de Ephraim mejor que la vendimia de Abiezer?

And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abi-ezer?

In eure Hand hat Gott die Midianiterfürsten Oreb und Seeb gegeben! Was habe ich da im Vergleich zu euch zu tun vermocht? Da er so redete, liess ihr Zorn von ihm ab.

Dios ha entregado en vuestras manos á Oreb y á Zeeb, príncipes de Madián: ¿y qué pude yo hacer como vosotros? Entonces el enojo de ellos contra él se aplacó, luego que él habló esta palabra.

God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had said that.

Die Obersten von Sukkoth aber sagten: Hast du denn die Faust Sebahs und Zalmunnas schon in deiner Gewalt, dass wir deinem Heer Brot geben sollten?

Da sprach Gideon: Wohlan, wenn der Herr den Sebah und den Zalmunna in meine Hand gibt, so dresche ich euer Fleisch mit Wüstendorn und Stacheldisteln.

Sebah und Zalmunna aber waren mit ihrem Heer in Karkor, etwa 15 000 Mann, alle, die vom ganzen Heere derer aus dem Osten übriggeblieben waren; die Eingedrungenen zählten 120 000 Mann, sämtlich schwertbewehrt.

Er aber sprach: Es waren meine Brüder, meiner Mutter Söhne. So wahr der Herr lebt: hättet ihr sie am Leben gelassen, so wollte ich euch nicht töten.

And he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.

DARNACH sprachen die Männer Israels zu Gideon: Herrsche über uns, du sowohl als dein Sohn und deines Sohnes Sohn; denn du hast uns aus der Hand der Midianiter errettet.

Y los Israelitas dijeron á Gedeón: Sé nuestro señor, tú, y tu hijo, y tu nieto; pues que nos has librado de mano de Madián.

Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.

Ni hicieron misericordia con la casa de Jerobaal Gedeón, conforme á todo el bien que él había hecho á Israel.
