Ma quelli di Ephraim dissero a lui: Che è quello che ti se' messo in testa di fare non invitandoci, mentre andavi a combattere contro Madian? E altercavano aspramente e quasi gli andavano alla vita.

Y LOS de Ephraim le dijeron: ¿Qué es esto que has hecho con nosotros, no llamándonos cuando ibas á la guerra contra Madián? Y reconviniéronlo fuertemente.

And the men of Ephraim said unto him, Why hast thou served us thus, that thou calledst us not, when thou wentest to fight with the Midianites? And they did chide with him sharply.

The men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you treated us this way, that you didn’t call us when you went to fight with Midian?” They rebuked him sharply.

Ed ei rispose loro: Ma che poteva far io di eguale a quel che voi avete fatto? Non vale egli più un grappolo di Ephraim che le vendemmie di Abiezer?

A los cuales él respondió: ¿Qué he hecho yo ahora como vosotros? ¿No es el rebusco de Ephraim mejor que la vendimia de Abiezer?

And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abi-ezer?

He said to them, “What have I now done in comparison with you? Isn’t the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

Il Signore ha dati a voi nelle mani i principi di Madian, Oreb e Zeb: che poteva far io di eguale a quel che voi avete fatto? È parlato ch'egli ebbe in tal guisa, si calmò il loro spirito, che era inviperito contro di lui.

Dios ha entregado en vuestras manos á Oreb y á Zeeb, príncipes de Madián: ¿y qué pude yo hacer como vosotros? Entonces el enojo de ellos contra él se aplacó, luego que él habló esta palabra.

God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you? Then their anger was abated toward him, when he had said that.

E Gedeone arrivato che fu al Giordano, lo passò co' trecento uomini che eran con lui, i quali non potevano inseguire i fuggitivi per la stanchezza.

Ed egli disse a quelli di Soccoth: Date, vi prego, del pane alla gente che è con me, perchè sono molto rifiniti: affinchè possiamo dar dietro a Zebee, e Salmana regi di Madian.

Y dijo á los de Succoth: Yo os ruego que deis á la gente que me sigue algunos bocados de pan; porque están cansados, y yo persigo á Zeba y á Zalmunna, reyes de Madián.

And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.

Risposero i principi di Soccoth: Hai tu forse messe le manette a Zebee, e Salmana, che domandi del pane pel tuo esercito?

Y los principales de Succoth respondieron: ¿Está ya la mano de Zeba y Zalmunna en tu mano, para que hayamos nosotros de dar pan á tu ejército?

And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army?

The princes of Succoth said, “Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your army?”

Disse egli loro: Quando adunque il Signore avrà dato nelle mie mani Zebee e Salmana, io lacererò le vostre carni colle spine, e co' triboli del deserto.

Y Gedeón dijo: Pues cuando Jehová hubiere entregado en mi mano á Zeba y á Zalmunna, yo trillaré vuestra carne con espinas y abrojos del desierto.

And Gideon said, Therefore when the LORD hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.

E partitosi da quel luogo giunse a Phanuel: e parlò nella stessa guisa agli uomini di quel luogo. E quelli risposero a lui, come avean risposto quelli di Soccoth.

Ma Zebee e Salmana prendevan riposo con tutta la loro gente. Imperocché eran rimasi quindici mila uomini di tutte le schiere de' popoli di oriente, essendo stati uccisi cento venti mila soldati che portavano spada.

Y Zeba y Zalmunna estaban en Carcor, y con ellos su ejército de como quince mil hombres, todos los que habían quedado de todo el campo de los orientales: y los muertos habían sido ciento veinte mil hombres que sacaban espada.

E Gedeone presa la strada per andar verso di quelli che abitano sotto le tende dalla parte orientale di Nobe, e di Jegbaa, attaccò il campo de' nemici, i quali si tenevan sicuri, e nulla sospettavano di avverso.

Y subiendo Gedeón hacia los que habitaban en tiendas, á la parte oriental de Noba y de Jogbea, hirió el campo, porque estaba el ejército sin recelo.

And Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host: for the host was secure.

E Zebee e Salmana si diedero alla fuga: ma Gedeone tenne lor dietro, e li prese, avendo messo in iscompiglio tutto il loro esercito.

E tornato dalla battaglia prima del levar del sole

Y Gedeón hijo de Joas volvió de la batalla antes que el sol subiese;

Y entrando á los de Succoth, dijo: He aquí á Zeba y á Zalmunna, sobre los cuales me zaheristeis, diciendo: ¿Está ya la mano de Zeba y de Zalmunna en tu mano, para que demos nosotros pan á tus hombres cansados?

And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary?

He came to the men of Succoth, and said, “See Zebah and Zalmunna, concerning whom you taunted me, saying, ‘Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your men who are weary?’”

Prese adunque i seniori della città, e con ispine e triboli del deserto lacerò, e fece in brani que' cittadini di Soccoth.

E atterrò similmente la torre di Phanuel, uccisi gli abitanti della città.

E disse a Zebee e Salmana: Come eran fatti quegli uomini che voi uccideste sul Thabor? Risposer quelli: Ei ti somigliavano, e uno di essi sembrava quasi un figliuolo di re.

Luego dijo á Zeba y á Zalmunna: ¿Qué manera de hombres tenían aquellos que matasteis en Tabor? Y ellos respondieron: Como tú, tales eran aquellos ni más ni menos, que parecían hijos de rey.

Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.

Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, “What kind of men were they whom you killed at Tabor?” They answered, “They were like you. They all resembled the children of a king.”

Ed egli rispose loro: Erano miei fratelli, figliuoli di mia madre. Viva il Signore, se voi aveste salvato ad essi la vita, io non vi farei morire.

Y él dijo: Mis hermanos eran, hijos de mi madre: ¡Vive Jehová, que si los hubierais guardado en vida, yo no os mataría!

And he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.

He said, “They were my brothers, the sons of my mother. As the LORD lives, if you had saved them alive, I would not kill you.”

E disse a Jether suo primogenito: Va, uccidili. Ma egli non tirò la spada; perchè avea paura, essendo ancora fanciullo.

Y dijo á Jether su primogénito: Levántate, y mátalos. Mas el joven no desenvainó su espada, porque tenía temor; que aun era muchacho.

And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared, because he was yet a youth.

He said to Jether his firstborn, “Get up and kill them!” But the youth didn’t draw his sword; for he was afraid, because he was yet a youth.

E Zebee e Salmana dissero: Su via, tu stesso dacci il colpo: perocché la forza dell'uomo è proporzionata all'età. E Gedeone si avanzò, e uccise Zebee e Salmana, e prese i loro ornamenti, e le lunette, che soglion mettersi per fregio al collo de' cammelli reali.

Entonces dijo Zeba y Zalmunna: Levántate tú, y mátanos; porque como es el varón, tal es su valentía. Y Gedeón se levantó, y mató á Zeba y á Zalmunna; y tomó los adornos de lunetas que sus camellos traían al cuello.

Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels’ necks.

Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, “You rise and fall on us; for as the man is, so is his strength.” Gideon arose, and killed Zebah and Zalmunna, and took the crescents that were on their camels’ necks.

Or tutti gli uomini d'Israele dissero a Gedeone: Sii tu il signore nostro, e il tuo figliuolo, e il figliuolo del tuo figliuolo, avendoci tu liberato dal potere di Madian.

Y los Israelitas dijeron á Gedeón: Sé nuestro señor, tú, y tu hijo, y tu nieto; pues que nos has librado de mano de Madián.

Then the men of Israel said unto Gideon, Rule thou over us, both thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son also: for thou hast delivered us from the hand of Midian.

Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, “Rule over us, both you, your son, and your son’s son also; for you have saved us out of the hand of Midian.”

Egli rispose loro: Io non sarò signor vostro, nè lo sarà il mio figliuolo, ma il Signore comanderà a voi.

Mas Gedeón respondió: No seré señor sobre vosotros, ni mi hijo os señoreará: Jehová será vuestro Señor.

And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.

Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you. The LORD shall rule over you.”

E disse loro: Una sola cosa domando da voi; datemi gli orecchini che avete predati imperocché gl'Ismaeliti solevan portare orecchini d'oro.

Y díjoles Gedeón: Deseo haceros una petición, que cada uno me dé los zarcillos de su despojo. (Porque traían zarcillos de oro, que eran Ismaelitas.)

And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)

And they answered, We will willingly give them. And they spread a garment, and did cast therein every man the earrings of his prey.

E il peso degli orecchini che Gedeone avea domandato, fu di mille settecento sicli di oro senza gli ornamenti, e le collane, e le vesti di porpora, delle quali solevano far uso i re di Madian, e senza le lunette d'oro de' cammelli.

Y fué el peso de los zarcillos de oro que él pidió, mil y setecientos siclos de oro; sin las planchas, y joyeles, y vestidos de púrpura, que traían los reyes de Madián, y sin los collares que traían sus camellos al cuello.

And the weight of the golden earrings that he requested was a thousand and seven hundred shekels of gold; beside ornaments, and collars, and purple raiment that was on the kings of Midian, and beside the chains that were about their camels’ necks.

E Gedeone ne fece un Ephod, e lo depositò nella sua città di Ephra. E peccò tutto Israele a causa di questo Ephod, il quale fu la rovina di Gedeone, e di tutta la sua famiglia.

Y Gedeón hizo de ellos un ephod, el cual hizo guardar en su ciudad de Ophra: y todo Israel fornicó tras de ese ephod en aquel lugar; y fué por tropiezo á Gedeón y á su casa.

And Gideon made an ephod thereof, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither a whoring after it: which thing became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house.

Ma i Madianiti furono umiliati dinanzi a' figliuoli d'Israele, e non poterono più alzare la testa: ma fu pace nel paese pe' quarant'anni, nei quali governò Gedeone.

Así fué humillado Madián delante de los hijos de Israel, y nunca más levantaron su cabeza. Y reposó la tierra cuarenta años en los días de Gedeón.

Thus was Midian subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted up their heads no more. And the country was in quietness forty years in the days of Gideon.

E morì Gedeone figliuolo di Gioas in prospera vecchiaia, e fu sepolto nella sepoltura di Gioas suo padre in Ephra, la quale apparteneva alla famiglia di Ezri.

Ma dopo la morte di Gedeone i figliuoli d'Israele si ribellaron (da Dio), e fornicarono con Baal. E fecero alleanza con Baal, perch'ei fosse loro dio.

And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baal-berith their god.

Nè si ricordarono del Signore Dio loro, il quale gli avea liberati dalle mani di tutti i nemici che aveano all'intorno.

Y no se acordaron los hijos de Israel de Jehová su Dios, que los había librado de todos sus enemigos alrededor:

Nè ebber pietà della famiglia di Jerobaal, (cioè) Gedeone, in ricompensa di tutti i benefizii che egli avea fatti ad Israele. Abimelech uccisi i suoi settanta fratelli, usurpa tirannicamente l'impero; parabola di Joatham suo fratello, che si era salvato. Egli vince l'esercito di Goal, e atterra la torre di Sichem, e finalmente è oppresso da una donna con un pezzo di macina.

Ni hicieron misericordia con la casa de Jerobaal Gedeón, conforme á todo el bien que él había hecho á Israel.

Neither shewed they kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, namely, Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had shewed unto Israel.
