24Auch hatte Gideon Boten im ganzen Berglande Ephraim umhergesandt mit der Aufforderung: »Kommt herab den Midianitern entgegen und schneidet ihnen das Wasser ab bis Beth-Bara und den Übergang über den Jordan!« Da folgten alle Männer vom Stamm Ephraim dem Rufe und schnitten ihnen das Wasser ab bis Beth-Bara und den Übergang über den Jordan.

24Gideon sent messengers throughout all the hill country of Ephraim, saying, “Come down against Midian and take the waters before them as far as Beth Barah, even the Jordan!” So all the men of Ephraim were gathered together and took the waters as far as Beth Barah, even the Jordan.
