Aber Jephtha antwortete den Ältesten von Gilead: Ihr seid es doch, die mich aus Hass vertrieben haben aus meines Vaters Hause! Warum kommt ihr jetzt zu mir, da ihr in Not seid?

Y Jephté respondió á los ancianos de Galaad: ¿No me habéis vosotros aborrecido, y me echasteis de la casa de mi padre? ¿por qué pues venís ahora á mí cuando estáis en aflicción?

And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my father’s house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress?

Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “Didn’t you hate me, and drive me out of my father’s house? Why have you come to me now when you are in distress?”
