Isaías 66

1Así dice Yahvé: “El cielo es mi trono, y la tierra el escabel de mis pies. ¿Qué casa podríais construir para Mí? ¿y qué lugar para mi descanso?
2Todas estas cosas las hizo mi mano, y así existen todas —oráculo de Yahvé—. He aquí en quien Yo pongo mis ojos: en el que es humilde y contrito de espíritu, y que teme mi palabra.
3Hay quien degüella un toro, y (a la vez) mata a un hombre; quien sacrifica una oveja y (a la vez) descabeza a un perro; quien hace una ofrenda, y ofrece sangre de cerdo; quien quema incienso y bendice a un ídolo. Así se han escogido sus propios caminos, y su alma se deleita en sus abominaciones.
4Por eso también Yo escogeré para ellos los males, y haré que les sobrevengan las cosas que temen; ya que llamé y no hubo quien respondiese; hablé y no escucharon; sino que hicieron lo que era malo a mis ojos, y escogieron lo que Yo reprobaba.”
5Oíd la voz de Yahvé, los que teméis su palabra. Vuestros hermanos que os odian, y os desechan por causa de mi nombre, dicen: “Que Yahvé muestre su gloria, para que podamos ver vuestra alegría”; pero quedarán avergonzados.
6¡Voz de alboroto que procede de la ciudad, voz que procede del Templo! ¡(Es la) voz de Yahvé que da el pago a sus enemigos!
7Antes de estar de parto ella ha dado a luz; antes que le sobreviniesen los dolores ha dado a luz un hijo varón.
8¿Quién oyó jamás cosa tal? ¿Quién vio cosa semejante? ¿Un país se hace acaso en un día? ¿O nace una nación de una vez? Pues antes de sentir los dolores Sión dio a luz a sus hijos.
9“¿Acaso voy a abrir Yo (el seno materno) para no dejarlo dar a luz?” dice Yahvé. “¿O lo cerraré acaso Yo, el que hace dar a luz?” dice tu Dios.
10¡Regocijaos con Jerusalén y alegraos en ella, todos los que la amáis! Exultad con ella cuantos por ella estáis llorando,
11para que maméis hasta saciaros de los pechos de sus consolaciones; para que sorbáis con fruición la abundancia de su gloria.
12Porque así dice Yahvé: “He aquí que voy a derramar sobre ella la paz como un río, y, como un torrente desbordado, la gloria de los gentiles. Vosotros chuparéis su leche; seréis llevados en brazos y acariciados sobre rodillas.
13Como aquel a quien consuela su madre, así os consolaré Yo a vosotros; seréis consolados en Jerusalén.
14Al verlo realizado se alborozará vuestro corazón, y vuestros huesos florecerán como la hierba; se hará manifiesta la mano de Yahvé en favor de sus siervos, y su indignación contra sus enemigos.
15Pues he aquí que Yahvé viene en medio del fuego, y en su carroza semejante a torbellino, para derramar su ira con furor, y su vindicta mediante llamas de fuego.
16Pues Yahvé va a ejercer el juicio con fuego, y con su espada sobre toda carne; y serán muchos los que perecerán por la mano de Yahvé.
17Los que se santifican y purifican para (el culto en) los huertos, (yendo) tras un mistagogo, los que comen carne de cerdo, manjares abominables y ratones, perecerán todos, dice Yahvé;
18porque (Yo conozco) sus obras y sus designios. Ha venido (el tiempo) de congregar todas las naciones y lenguas; y vendrán y verán mi gloria.
19Pondré en medio de ellos una señal, y enviaré sus sobrevivientes a las naciones, a Tarsis, a Pul, a Lud, a Mósoc, a Rosch, a Tubal y a Javán, a las islas remotas que no han oído hablar de Mí, ni han visto la gloria mía; ellos anunciarán mi gloria entre los gentiles.
20De entre todas las naciones traerán a todos vuestros hermanos, como ofrenda a Yahvé, a caballo, en carros, en literas, en mulos y en dromedarios, a mi santo monte, a Jerusalén, dice Yahvé; de igual modo que los hijos de Israel traen la ofrenda, en vaso limpio, a la Casa de Yahvé.
21Y de entre ellos tomaré también a algunos para sacerdotes y levitas, dice Yahvé.
22Porque así como los nuevos cielos y la nueva tierra que voy a hacer, subsistirán ante Mí, dice Yahvé, así subsistirá vuestro linaje y vuestro nombre.
23Y de neomenia en neomenia, y de sábado en sábado, vendrá toda carne para postrarse delante de Mí, dice Yahvé
24Y saldrán, y verán los cadáveres de los hombres que se rebelaron contra Mí; cuyo gusano nunca morirá, y cuyo fuego nunca se apagará; y serán objeto de horror para todos los hombres.

1JEHOVÁ dijo así: El cielo es mi solio, y la tierra estrado de mis pies: ¿dónde está la casa que me habréis de edificar, y dónde este lugar de mi reposo?
2Mi mano hizo todas estas cosas, y así todas estas cosas fueron, dice Jehová: mas á aquél miraré que es pobre y humilde de espíritu, y que tiembla á mi palabra.
3El que sacrifica buey, como si matase un hombre; el que sacrifica oveja, como si degollase un perro; el que ofrece presente, como si ofreciese sangre de puerco; el que ofrece perfume, como si bendijese á un ídolo. Y pues escogieron sus caminos, y su alma amó sus abominaciones,
4También yo escogeré sus escarnios, y traeré sobre ellos lo que temieron; porque llamé, y nadie respondió; hablé, y no oyeron; antes hicieron lo malo delante de mis ojos, y escogieron lo que á mí desagrada.
5Oid palabra de Jehová, vosotros los que tembláis á su palabra: Vuestros hermanos los que os aborrecen, y os niegan por causa de mi nombre, dijeron: Glorifíquese Jehová. Mas él se mostrará con alegría vuestra, y ellos serán confundidos.
6Voz de alboroto de la ciudad, voz del templo, voz de Jehová que da el pago á sus enemigos.
7Antes que estuviese de parto, parió; antes que le viniesen dolores parió hijo.
8¿Quién oyó cosa semejante? ¿quién vió cosa tal? ¿parirá la tierra en un día? ¿nacerá una nación de una vez? Pues en cuanto Sión estuvo de parto, parió sus hijos.
9¿Yo que hago parir, no pariré? dijo Jehová. ¿Yo que hago engendrar, seré detenido? dice el Dios tuyo.
10Alegraos con Jerusalem, y gozaos con ella, todos los que la amáis: llenaos con ella de gozo, todos los que os enlutáis por ella:
11Para que maméis y os saciéis de los pechos de sus consolaciones; para que ordeñéis, y os deleitéis con el resplandor de su gloria.
12Porque así dice Jehová: He aquí que yo extiendo sobre ella paz como un río, y la gloria de las gentes como un arroyo que sale de madre; y mamaréis, y sobre el lado seréis traídos, y sobre las rodillas seréis regalados.
13Como aquel á quien consuela su madre, así os consolaré yo á vosotros, y en Jerusalem tomaréis consuelo.
14Y veréis, y alegraráse vuestro corazón, y vuestros huesos reverdecerán como la hierba: y la mano de Jehová para con sus siervos será conocida, y se airará contra sus enemigos.
15Porque he aquí que Jehová vendrá con fuego, y sus carros como torbellino, para tornar su ira en furor, y su reprensión en llama de fuego.
16Porque Jehová juzgará con fuego y con su espada á toda carne: y los muertos de Jehová serán multiplicados.
17Los que se santifican y los que se purifican en los huertos, unos tras otros, los que comen carne de puerco, y abominación, y ratón; juntamente serán talados, dice Jehová.
18Porque yo entiendo sus obras y sus pensamientos: tiempo vendrá para juntar todas las gentes y lenguas; y vendrán, y verán mi gloria.
19Y pondré entre ellos señal, y enviaré de los escapados de ellos á las gentes, á Tarsis, á Pul y Lud, que disparan arco, á Tubal y á Javán, á las islas apartadas que no oyeron de mí, ni vieron mi gloria; y publicarán mi gloria entre las gentes.
20Y traerán á todos vuestros hermanos de entre todas las naciones, por presente á Jehová, en caballos, en carros, en literas, y en mulos, y en camellos, á mi santo monte de Jerusalem, dice Jehová, al modo que los hijos de Israel traen el presente en vasos limpios á la casa de Jehová.
21Y tomaré también de ellos para sacerdotes y Levitas, dice Jehová.
22Porque como los cielos nuevos y la nueva tierra, que yo hago, permanecen delante de mí, dice Jehová, así permanecerá vuestra simiente y vuestro nombre.
23Y será que de mes en mes, y de sábado en sábado, vendrá toda carne á adorar delante de mí, dijo Jehová.
24Y saldrán, y verán los cadáveres de los hombres que se rebelaron contra mí: porque su gusano nunca morirá, ni su fuego se apagará; y serán abominables á toda carne.

1Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
3He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
5Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
6A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
7Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
10Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
11That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
12For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
18For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
19And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
20And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
22For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
World English Bible
1The LORD says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?
2For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says the LORD: “but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.
3He who kills an ox is as he who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog’s neck; he who offers an offering, as he who offers pig’s blood; he who burns frankincense, as he who blesses an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.
4I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them, because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they didn’t listen, but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn’t delight.”
5Hear the LORD’s word, you who tremble at his word: “Your brothers who hate you, who cast you out for my name’s sake, have said, ‘Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy;’ but it is those who shall be disappointed.
6A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that repays his enemies what they deserve.

12For the LORD says, “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream, and you will nurse. You will be carried on her side, and will be dandled on her knees.
13As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
14You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. The LORD’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.
15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and his chariots will be like the whirlwind; to give his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16For the LORD will execute judgment by fire and by his sword on all flesh; and those slain by the LORD will be many.
17“Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go to the gardens, following one in the middle, eating pig’s meat, abominable things, and the mouse, they shall come to an end together,” says the LORD.
18“For I know their works and their thoughts. The time comes that I will gather all nations and languages, and they will come, and will see my glory.
