Isaías 61

1L'Esprit du Seigneur, l'Éternel, est sur moi, parce que l'Éternel m'a oint pour porter une bonne nouvelle aux malheureux, qu'il m'a envoyé pour guérir les cœurs brisés, pour proclamer la liberté aux captifs et aux prisonniers l'ouverture des cachots,
2pour annoncer une année des grâces de l'Éternel, et un jour des vengeances de notre Dieu,
3pour consoler tous les affligés, pour présenter aux affligés de Sion et leur donner un diadème au lieu de la cendre, une huile de réjouissance au lieu du deuil, un manteau éclatant au lieu d'un esprit éteint, afin qu'on les nomme Térébinthes de la justice, plant de l'Éternel à sa gloire.
4On bâtit sur les décombres anciens, et on relève les ruines d'autrefois, on renouvelle les villes ravagées, dévastées depuis des âges.
5Et des étrangers sont à vos ordres et ils font paître vos troupeaux, et des enfants du dehors sont vos laboureurs et vos vignerons.
6Mais vous, on vous appelle sacrificateurs de l'Éternel, on vous nomme ministres de notre Dieu. Vous vous nourrissez de l'opulence des nations, et vous êtes substitués à leur gloire.
7Au lieu de votre opprobre vous aurez double part, au lieu d'ignominie ils exalteront leur sort : aussi dans leur pays leur portion sera double, une éternelle joie leur est assurée.
8Car moi, l'Éternel, j'aime ce qui est juste, et j'abhorre la rapine coupable, et je leur donnerai fidèlement leur salaire et leur accorderai une alliance éternelle ;
9et leur race sera illustre parmi les nations et leurs rejetons entre les peuples ; et tous ceux qui les verront, les reconnaîtront, car ils sont une race que bénit l'Éternel.
10« L'Éternel est ma joie, mon Dieu est l'allégresse de mon âme, car Il me revêt de vêtements de salut, Il m'enveloppe d'un manteau de justice, comme le fiancé ajuste une tiare, et comme la fiancée se pare de ses joyaux. »
11Car, ainsi que la terre produit ses bourgeons, et qu'un jardin fait germer ses semences, ainsi le Seigneur, l'Éternel, fait germer la justice et la louange à la face de toutes les nations.

1EL espíritu del Señor Jehová es sobre mí, porque me ungió Jehová; hame enviado á predicar buenas nuevas á los abatidos, á vendar á los quebrantados de corazón, á publicar libertad á los cautivos, y á los presos abertura de la cárcel;
2A promulgar año de la buena voluntad de Jehová, y día de venganza del Dios nuestro; á consolar á todos los enlutados;
3A ordenar á Sión á los enlutados, para darles gloria en lugar de ceniza, óleo de gozo en lugar del luto, manto de alegría en lugar del espíritu angustiado; y serán llamados árboles de justicia, plantío de Jehová, para gloria suya.
4Y edificarán los desiertos antiguos, y levantarán los asolamientos primeros, y restaurarán las ciudades asoladas, los asolamientos de muchas generaciones.
5Y estarán extranjeros, y apacentarán vuestras ovejas, y los extraños serán vuestros labradores y vuestros viñadores.
6Y vosotros seréis llamados sacerdotes de Jehová, ministros del Dios nuestro seréis dichos: comeréis las riquezas de las gentes, y con su gloria seréis sublimes.
7En lugar de vuestra doble confusión, y de vuestra deshonra, os alabarán en sus heredades; por lo cual en sus tierras poseerán doblado, y tendrán perpetuo gozo.
8Porque yo Jehová soy amador del derecho, aborrecedor del latrocinio para holocausto; por tanto afirmaré en verdad su obra, y haré con ellos pacto perpetuo.
9Y la simiente de ellos será conocida entre las gentes, y sus renuevos en medio de los pueblos; todos los que los vieren, los conocerán, que son simiente bendita de Jehová.
10En gran manera me gozaré en Jehová, mi alma se alegrará en mi Dios; porque me vistió de vestidos de salud, rodeóme de manto de justicia, como á novio me atavió, y como á novia compuesta de sus joyas.
11Porque como la tierra produce su renuevo, y como el huerto hace brotar su simiente, así el Señor Jehová hará brotar justicia y alabanza delante de todas las gentes.

1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
4And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
7For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
8For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
10I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
11For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
World English Bible
1The Lord GOD’s Spirit is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound,
2to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.
4They will rebuild the old ruins. They will raise up the former devastated places. They will repair the ruined cities that have been devastated for many generations.
5Strangers will stand and feed your flocks. Foreigners will work your fields and your vineyards.
6But you will be called the LORD’s priests. Men will call you the servants of our God. You will eat the wealth of the nations. You will boast in their glory.
7Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them.
8“For I, the LORD, love justice. I hate robbery and iniquity. I will give them their reward in truth and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge them, that they are the offspring which the LORD has blessed.”
10I will greatly rejoice in the LORD! My soul will be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11For as the earth produces its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.
