Isaías 50

Ho dato il corpo mio a que', che mi percuotevano, e le mie guancie a que, che mi strappavan la barba: non ho ascoso il mio volto a quegli, che mi schernivano, e mi sputacchiavano.

Dí mi cuerpo á los heridores, y mis mejillas á los que me mesaban el cabello: no escondí mi rostro de las injurias y esputos.

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
