2Porque yo vine al mundo, y no hubo nadie que me recibiese; llamé y no hubo quien me escuchase. ¿Es por ventura que se ha acortado o achicado mi mano, de suerte que no pueda redimir? ¿O no tengo yo poder para libertaros? Sabed que a una amenaza mía haré del mar un desierto, y secaré los ríos; se pudrirán los peces por falta de agua, y morirán en seco.

2Porque vine, y nadie pareció; llamé, y nadie respondió. ¿Ha llegado á acortarse mi mano, para no redimir? ¿no hay en mí poder para librar? He aquí que con mi reprensión hago secar la mar; torno los ríos en desierto, hasta pudrirse sus peces, y morirse de sed por falta de agua.

2Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
