2Por que ninguém estava lá quando Eu cheguei? Por que ninguém respondeu quando Eu chamei? Era Minha mão muito curta para vos redimir? Não havia poder em Mim para vos resgatar? Vede, na Minha repreensão, Eu sequei o mar; Eu transformo os rios em um deserto; os peixes morrem por falta de água e apodrecem.

2Porque vine, y nadie pareció; llamé, y nadie respondió. ¿Ha llegado á acortarse mi mano, para no redimir? ¿no hay en mí poder para librar? He aquí que con mi reprensión hago secar la mar; torno los ríos en desierto, hasta pudrirse sus peces, y morirse de sed por falta de agua.

Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
