¡AY de la corona de soberbia, de los ebrios de Ephraim, y de la flor caduca de la hermosura de su gloria, que está sobre la cabeza del valle fértil de los aturdidos del vino!
Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley of those who are overcome with wine!
He aquí que el Señor tiene a uno que es poderoso y fuerte; como turbión de granizo y tormenta generadora de ruina, como ímpetu de recias aguas que inundan, los derribará a tierra con su mano.
He aquí Jehová tiene un fuerte y poderoso: como turbión de granizo y como torbellino trastornador; como ímpetu de recias aguas que inundan, con fuerza derriba á tierra.
Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
Behold, the Lord has one who is mighty and strong. Like a storm of hail, a destroying storm, and like a storm of mighty waters overflowing, he will cast them down to the earth with his hand.
Con los pies será pisoteada la corona de soberbia de los borrachos de Efraín.
Con los pies será hollada la corona de soberbia de los borrachos de Ephraim;
The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden under foot.
Y la flor marchita de su gloriosa hermosura, que está sobre la cabeza del valle fértil, será como la breva que madura antes del verano, la cual, en cuanto uno la ve, la arrebata y se la traga.
Y será la flor caduca de la hermosura de su gloria que está sobre la cabeza del valle fértil, como la fruta temprana, la primera del verano, la cual, en viéndola el que la mira, se la traga tan luego como la tiene á mano.
And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
The fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fertile valley, shall be like the first-ripe fig before the summer, which someone picks and eats as soon as he sees it.
En aquel día, Yahvé de los Ejércitos será por corona de gloria y diadema de hermosura para el resto de su pueblo;
En aquel día Jehová de los ejércitos será por corona de gloria y diadema de hermosura á las reliquias de su pueblo;
In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
In that day, the LORD of Armies will become a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the residue of his people,
y por espíritu de justicia para el que se sienta a juzgar, y por fortaleza para los que rechazan la batalla en la puerta.
Y por espíritu de juicio al que se sentare en juicio, y por fortaleza á los que harán tornar la batalla hasta la puerta.
And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.

Pero también estos erraron con el vino, y con la sidra se entorpecieron; el sacerdote y el profeta erraron con la sidra, fueron trastornados por el vino; se aturdieron con la sidra, erraron en la visión, tropezaron en el juicio.

But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
They also reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink. The priest and the prophet reel with strong drink. They are swallowed up by wine. They stagger with strong drink. They err in vision. They stumble in judgment.
Porque todas las mesas están llenas de vómito e inmundicia, hasta no quedar lugar limpio.

For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

¿A quién se enseñará la ciencia, o a quién se hará entender el mensaje? ¿A los recién destetados? ¿A los que acaban de dejar los pechos?
¿A quién se enseñará ciencia, ó á quién se hará entender doctrina? ¿A los quitados de la leche? ¿á los arrancados de los pechos?
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Por tanto, oíd la palabra de Yahvé, hombres burladores que gobernáis a este pueblo que está en Jerusalén.
Por tanto, varones burladores, que estáis enseñoreados sobre este pueblo que está en Jerusalem, oid la palabra de Jehová.
Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
Therefore hear the LORD’s word, you scoffers, that rule this people in Jerusalem:
Puesto que habéis dicho: «Hemos hecho pacto con la muerte, e hicimos convenio con el Seol. Cuando pase el torrente del azote, no llegará a nosotros, porque hemos puesto nuestro refugio en la mentira, y en la falsedad nos hemos escondido»;
Porque habéis dicho: Concierto tenemos hecho con la muerte, é hicimos acuerdo con la sepultura; cuando pasare el turbión del azote, no llegará á nosotros, pues que hemos puesto nuestra acogida en la mentira, y en la falsedad nos esconderemos:
Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
“Because you have said, ‘We have made a covenant with death, and we are in agreement with Sheol. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it won’t come to us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood.’”
por eso, el Señor Yahvé dice así: «He aquí que yo he puesto en Sión por fundamento una piedra, piedra probada, angular, preciosa, de cimiento estable; el que creyere, no se apresure.
Por tanto, el Señor Jehová dice así: He aquí que yo fundo en Sión una piedra, piedra de fortaleza, de esquina, de precio, de cimiento estable: el que creyere, no se apresure.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
Therefore the Lord GOD says, “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily.
Y ajustaré el juicio a cordel, y a nivel la justicia; y el granizo barrerá el refugio de la mentira, y las aguas inundarán el escondrijo.

Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plumb line. The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place.
Y será anulado vuestro pacto con la muerte, y vuestro convenio con el Seol no subsistirá; cuando pase el torrente del azote, seréis por él pisoteados.
Y será anulado vuestro concierto con la muerte, y vuestro acuerdo con el sepulcro no será firme: cuando pasare el turbión del azote, seréis de él hollados.
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand. When the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trampled down by it.
Luego que pase, él os arrebatará; porque de mañana en mañana pasará, de día y de noche; y será ciertamente un espanto el entender el mensaje».
Luego que comenzare á pasar, él os arrebatará; porque de mañana de mañana pasará, de día y de noche; y será que el espanto solamente haga entender lo oído.
From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
As often as it passes through, it will seize you; for morning by morning it will pass through, by day and by night; and it will be nothing but terror to understand the message.”
Porque la cama es corta para estirarse, y la manta estrecha para envolverse.
Porque la cama es tan angosta que no basta, y la cubierta estrecha para recoger.
For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
For the bed is too short to stretch out on, and the blanket is too narrow to wrap oneself in.
Porque Yahvé se levantará como en el monte Perazim, y como en el valle de Gabaón se enojará; para hacer su obra, su extraña obra, y para hacer su labor, su ajena labor.
Porque Jehová se levantará como en el monte Perasim, como en el valle de Gabaón se enojará; para hacer su obra, su extraña obra, y para hacer su operación, su extraña operación.
For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
For the LORD will rise up as on Mount Perazim. He will be angry as in the valley of Gibeon; that he may do his work, his unusual work, and bring to pass his act, his extraordinary act.
Ahora, pues, no os burléis, para que no se aprieten vuestras ataduras; porque una destrucción ya determinada he oído del Señor, Yahvé de los Ejércitos, sobre toda la tierra.
Ahora pues, no os burléis, porque no se aprieten más vuestras ataduras: porque consumación y acabamiento sobre toda la tierra he oído del Señor Jehová de los ejércitos.
Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
Now therefore don’t be scoffers, lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord, GOD of Armies, on the whole earth.
Estad atentos y oíd mi voz; estad atentos y escuchad mi dicho.

Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.

El que ara para sembrar, ¿ará todo el día? ¿Romperá y quebrará los terrones de su tierra?
El que ara para sembrar, ¿arará todo el día; romperá y quebrará los terrones de la tierra?
Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
Does he who plows to sow plow continually? Does he keep turning the soil and breaking the clods?
Cuando ha nivelado su superficie, ¿no derrama el eneldo, siembra el comino, pone el trigo por hileras, y la cebada en su lugar señalado, y la escanda en su borde?
Después que hubiere igualado su superficie, ¿no derramará la neguilla, sembrará el comino, pondrá el trigo por su orden, y la cebada en su señal, y la avena en su término?
When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
When he has leveled its surface, doesn’t he plant the dill, and scatter the cumin seed, and put in the wheat in rows, the barley in the appointed place, and the spelt in its place?
Porque su Dios le instruye y le enseña lo que es recto.
Porque su Dios le instruye, y le enseña á juicio;
For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
For his God instructs him in right judgment and teaches him.
Que el eneldo no se trilla con trillo, ni sobre el comino se hace rodar rueda de carro; sino que con un palo se sacude el eneldo, y el comino con una vara.
Que la neguilla no se trillará con trillo, ni sobre el comino rodará rueda de carreta; sino que con un palo se sacude la neguilla, y el comino con una vara.
For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
For the dill isn’t threshed with a sharp instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned over the cumin; but the dill is beaten out with a stick, and the cumin with a rod.
El pan se trilla; mas no siempre lo trillará, ni lo comprime con la rueda de su carro, ni lo quebranta con los dientes de su trillo.

Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
Bread flour must be ground; so he will not always be threshing it. Although he drives the wheel of his threshing cart over it, his horses don’t grind it.
También esto salió de Yahvé de los Ejércitos, para hacer maravilloso el consejo y grande la sabiduría.
También esto salió de Jehová de los ejércitos, para hacer maravilloso el consejo y engrandecer la sabiduría.
This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
This also comes out from the LORD of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.
