Isaías 27

1En ce jour-là l’Eternel punira de sa dure et grande et forte épée, le Léviathan, le serpent traversant ; le Léviathan, dis-je serpent tortu, et il tuera la baleine qui est dans la mer.
2En ce jour-là chantez, vous entre-répondant l’un à l’autre, touchant la vigne fertile en vin rouge.
3C’est moi l’Eternel qui la garde, je l’arroserai de moment en moment, je la garderai nuit et jour, afin que personne ne lui fasse du mal.
4Il n’y a point de fureur en moi ; qui m’opposera des ronces et des épines pour les combattre ? je marcherai sur elles, je les brûlerai toutes ensemble.
5Ou forcerait-il ma force ? Qu’il fasse la paix avec moi, qu’il fasse la paix avec moi.
6Il fera ci-après que Jacob prendra racine ; Israël boutonnera, et s’épanouira ; et ils rempliront de fruit le dessus de la terre habitable.
7L’aurait-il frappé de la même plaie dont il frappe celui qui l’a frappé ? et aurait-il été tué comme ont été tués ceux qu’il a tués ?
8Tu plaideras avec elle modérément, quand tu la renverras ; même quand il ferait retentir son vent rude, au jour du vent d’Orient.
9C’est pourquoi l’expiation de l’iniquité de Jacob sera faite par ce moyen, et ceci en sera le fruit entier, que son péché sera ôté ; quand il aura mis toutes les pierres de l’autel comme des pierres de plâtre menuisées, et lorsque les bocages, et les tabernacles ne seront plus debout.
10Car la ville munie sera désolée, le logement agréable sera abandonné et délaissé comme un désert, le veau y paîtra, il y gîtera, et il broutera les branches qui y seront.
11Quand son branchage sera sec il sera brisé, et les femmes y venant en allumeront du feu ; car ce n’est pas un peuple intelligent, c’est pourquoi celui qui l’a fait n’aura point pitié de lui, et celui qui l’a formé ne lui fera point de grâce.
12Il arrivera donc en ce jour-là, que l’Eternel secouera depuis le cours du fleuve, jusqu’au torrent d’Egypte ; mais vous serez glanés un à un, ô enfants d’Israël.
13Et il arrivera en ce jour-là, qu’on sonnera du grand cor, et ceux qui s’étaient perdus au pays d’Assyrie, et ceux qui avaient été chassés au pays d’Egypte, reviendront, et se prosterneront devant l’Eternel, en la sainte montagne, à Jérusalem.

1EN aquel día Jehová visitará con su espada dura, grande y fuerte, sobre leviathán, serpiente rolliza, y sobre leviathán serpiente retuerta; y matará al dragón que está en la mar.
2En aquel día cantad de la viña del vino rojo.
3Yo Jehová la guardo, cada momento la regaré; guardaréla de noche y de día, porque nadie la visite.
4No hay en mí enojo. ¿Quién pondrá contra mí en batalla espinas y cardos? Yo los hollaré, quemarélos juntamente.
5¿O forzará alguien mi fortaleza? Haga conmigo paz, sí, haga paz conmigo.
6Días vendrán cuando Jacob echará raíces, florecerá y echará renuevos Israel, y la haz del mundo se henchirá de fruto.
7¿Acaso ha sido herido como quien lo hirió? ¿ó ha sido muerto como los que lo mataron?
8Con medida la castigarás en sus vástagos. El reprime su recio viento en el día del aire solano.
9De esta manera pues será purgada la iniquidad de Jacob; y éste será todo el fruto, la remoción de su pecado, cuando tornare todas las piedras del altar como piedras de cal desmenuzadas, y no se levantarán los bosques, ni las imágenes del sol.
10Porque la ciudad fortalecida será asolada, la morada será desamparada y dejada como un desierto: allí se apacentará el becerro, allí tendrá su majada, y acabará sus ramas.
11Cuando sus ramas se secaren, serán quebradas; mujeres vendrán á encenderlas: porque aquél no es pueblo de entendimiento; por tanto su Hacedor no tendrá de él misericordia, ni se compadecerá de él el que lo formó.
12Y acontecerá en aquel día, que herirá Jehová desde el álveo del río hasta el torrente de Egipto, y vosotros, hijos de Israel, seréis reunidos uno á uno.
13Acontecerá también en aquel día, que se tañerá con gran trompeta, y vendrán los que habían sido esparcidos en la tierra de Asiria, y los que habían sido echados en tierra de Egipto, y adorarán á Jehová en el monte santo, en Jerusalem.

1In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
2In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.
3I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.
4Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.
5Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.
6He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.
7Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?
8In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.
9By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
10Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
11When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.
12And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
13And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
World English Bible
1In that day, the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan, the fleeing serpent, and leviathan, the twisted serpent; and he will kill the dragon that is in the sea.
2In that day, sing to her, “A pleasant vineyard!
3I, the LORD, am its keeper. I will water it every moment. Lest anyone damage it, I will keep it night and day.
4Wrath is not in me, but if I should find briers and thorns, I would do battle! I would march on them and I would burn them together.
5Or else let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me. Let him make peace with me.”
6In days to come, Jacob will take root. Israel will blossom and bud. They will fill the surface of the world with fruit.
7Has he struck them as he struck those who struck them? Or are they killed like those who killed them were killed?
8In measure, when you send them away, you contend with them. He has removed them with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.
9Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherah poles and the incense altars shall rise no more.
10For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness. The calf will feed there, and there he will lie down, and consume its branches.
11When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off. The women will come and set them on fire, for they are a people of no understanding. Therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor.
12It will happen in that day that the LORD will thresh from the flowing stream of the Euphrates to the brook of Egypt; and you will be gathered one by one, children of Israel.
13It will happen in that day that a great trumpet will be blown; and those who were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and those who were outcasts in the land of Egypt, shall come; and they will worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
